Good Morning!!
It was another busy weekend and next weekend will be the same. I did add 7 miles of walking Fri-Sun
Cait: Good job doing the Nordic track when you did not get your walk in. Great job getting in 2 meetings. I love egg rolls in a bowl. I usually do chicken, shrimp, or ground turkey.
Carol: Awesome job on the bike ride. Impressive. Enjoy your reunion. It has been awhile since my class had one. Next year will be 35 years since I graduated.
Connie: My walking is going well. Actually able to get an outside walk in for the last week. I try to enjoy the outside as much as possible while I can. Lots more hours of light to take advantage of. You will get in to the groove eventually. Heck I miss days too.
Waving to all. Happy Walking!!

Yesterday we walked downriver 2 mi. I got in 14 mi last week. The weather was nice and we were able to eat and sit on the deck. DD1 DSIL and DGDs FaceTimed us. They are excited about visiting us in mid June đ€Ș

Have a great day !

KELLY - GFY 7 mi on your long weekend. Itâs great you can get outside to walk.
CONNIE - Glad youâre enjoying walking again. For me the weight is mainly about what I eat, not the exercise. I do the exercise for general health and fitness, well-being. Re the path to the river - those âplantsâ are huge, tall and dense! We made a nice opening directly below the deck many years ago but it closed up over the years when I was having hip pain and we never got around to reopening it. By now it would take a lot of work and weâd have to do it in Fall or Winter. Meanwhile last summer DD1, DSIL and the DGDs widened another path that we had a bit farther upriver.
CAROL - Great work with the water aerobics, walk and stretching. Did your back feel OK on the walk? Itâs great you got an early start on the Sept reunion plans. Sounds like you got the best venues đ

Good Morning!!
Stayed OP yesterday. Drank all my water +. It was a rainy most of the day when it was my walking times. I did a fun video on YouTube. 80's retro walk with Marion Brand.
Cait: Glad you were able to stop with the snacks. Good job on your miles. Glad you were able to enjoy your deck. Your family will be visiting faster than you think. Next Tuesday is already June 1st.
Connie; Great job on the 4 miles.
Waving to all. Happy Walking!!

Good morning. I've had to reframe my mind on the walking. I always picture "this place" or "that place" and think how wonderful it would be go there and enjoy the surroundings, maybe go for a walk, enjoy the view. I realized that I LIVE in that beautiful place and that's how I need to reframe it in my mind and enjoy my beautiful walks with God and nature. I'll just have to switch up my routine to doing it earlier in the day. Yesterday was too hot.
Carol: How wonderful you are planning a high school reunion. My high school failed in their reunion duties for my graduating class so no one can ever "get it together."
Cait: At least there is an opening up river. The view is beautiful and you are so lucky to have family close.
Kelly: You always have the greatest of ideas with things like the indoor retro walk. I can't believe it's raining where you are.

Yesterday we walked downriver 2 mi. Another nice day for eating out on the deck.
Yesterday DH was working outdoors but in the afternoon he saw that something had tipped over the neighborâs dumpster. Probably a bear. So DH decided to work indoors for the afternoonâŠ.đČ Our bears are black bears, not particularly aggressive toward humans, in fact try to avoid us, but you never know. Another neighbor said a mountain lion has been seen around but theyâre looking for smaller animals than us. Weâve had a lot of osprey sightings from the deck, saw one carry a fish to a tree and sit there eating it for over an hour.
KELLY - GFY OP, getting in your water, and finding something a bit different on YouTube for exercise
CONNIE - Re family visits - we rarely have family or other visitors because itâs an 11-12 hour drive from SoCal where most live. Weâre near the OR border. GFY reframing your mindset about your beautiful area. Itâs easy to get to where I take things for granted. Yet if I look, thereâs always something new and interesting. I just saw this quote in a book of daily insights I read: âTo me every hour of the light and dark is a miracle, Every cubic inch of space is a miracle.â - Walt Whitmanâ
Be well and take care, for ourselves, and for each other.

IT'S TUESDAY!
Sounds like everyone is doing well!
KELLY -- the "retro" walk sounds fun! What was retro about it -- the music? the outfits? Ha ha!
CAIT -- I was on a bicycle in Northern Minnesota when I thought I saw a big dog come up out of the ditch. It was a female black bear, and I don't know which one of us was the most scared! Your place sounds so great!
CONNIE -- I hear you about walking before it gets too hot! Last summer, though, I was up extra-early to walk before dawn and I fell and twisted my ankle. Be careful!
I went on a shorter bike ride today (counting 2 miles, not 8!), water aerobics yesterday for 2, and I just finished stretching.

Good Morning Challengers!
Yesterday I did 1/6 of my main HHs, ate way above my red zone zone of pts. I stayed up late reading and eating snack foods. My excuse was I wanted to read and wanted to see the lunar eclipse around 4 am here. Unfortunately because weâre in a canyon the moon was behind the mountains. But the stars were amazing đ Iâm still trying to stop the yo-yo alternate day overeating.

Yesterday we walked a combo of downriver and upriver 2 mi. It was nice to get back to the upriver part of the road - itâs really a different micro-environment, less open, closer to the river, so more varied plants and lots of variety of chirping going on. We canât get in 2 mi going upriver as we did last year because our neighbors moved back after a long time away and they have dogs that run out into the road if you walk past their house. As it is, DH insists on carrying a big walking stick if we go that way.
I received a WW email saying my lifetime e-tools will be extended thru Sept so I wonât be required to go to an in-studio WI til Sept. Theyâre still in the process of reopening studios. I discovered that they reopened one in Medford OR which is âonlyâ 1-1/2 hrs from here instead of the 2-1/2 hrs to the 2 places available to me before. I think Iâll still try to do the monthly in-studio WI when itâs doable to support the staff and help keep their numbers up to save their jobs.
Be well and take care, for ourselves, and for each other.

I canceled the total gym. I think I will try to tone with the body gym and try walking away the pounds with some senior tapes.
