CELESTIAL you are more than likely correct in that nothing will happen on this snafu. And the head boss (just under Dean) is more than coolā¦she sends out the email to Dean about what happened, and comes right into my office to make sure I didnāt take it as blaming or anything (which I had not ā I completely understand) and she didnāt have to do that. She was simply stating facts and moving on. As will I. I think it just irks me that this ran soooo smooth, I had it down, ahead of the game and all that. Then snafu!
I like the idea of the Instant Pot. And yes, the real estate guy gave me his last name but I have not googled him yet.
And thatās a good ELFā¦. A lady did that for me today, and I appreciated it! I ELFād Salvation Army kettle, and made some goodwill calls.
BECKY very nice ELF! I took Lu for a long walk (misty rain and all) and yes, it was refreshing .

Went to see Assassinās Creed yesterday and will see Sing tomorrow with Rob (thatās my ELF!!) and something else with C on Monday. She probably has more selection out thataway.

Becky, whenever I go to post, I highlight all of my post then select the "font face" that I want then "font size" (usually a 14) then the color. Hope that helps.
Fought the parking lot at HEB today and parked WAY away from the doors. Got more steps in that way and it was somewhat safer than trying to dodge the idiot drivers. In and out in less than 20 minutes, most of which was spent standing in line to check out. All registers were open and staffed, but the lines at each one were at least 5-6 deep.

Mary,I have gone back to the default theme so no problem with the font.We went to HEB and WM today.HEB was pretty manned at the registers but WM never is so I just used the self checkout there and was done in no time.
Suze,I'm glad you enjoyed your walk.It always feels so renewing and refreshing walking out here in the country.
Sandy,I agree.Thanks for getting us started every day.Katy is so cute with Pumpkin.I know she will love the canopy bed.I always wanted one when I was little but never got one.I lived.Now I sleep on a recliner so go figure.

BECKY that's weird b/c when you mentioned the tiny font I thought "Oh wow, no wonder I'm having trouble reading this. IT IS tiny." So I put Chrome on 125 and it's just like it was before. And in my mid 30's to early 50's, my doctor (who was also a personal friend) used to say he thought I was bipolar but with only 1 pole. MANIC b/c I was always so hyper. Now if I got any more laid back I'd be DEAD  I LOVE your ELF too. Very nice. The elderly are too often swept under the rug and forgotten. And doesn't a GOOD haircut make you feel GOOD. A bad one is so annoying. Ahhhhh STEPH my hair is now colored (I did a RUBY RED this time. As in STOPLIGHT). Fun color. Not my usual shade but it's still fun. hahaha SUZE on things going smoothly. This was just GOD saying "HEY... You're not perfect you know?" And I also wouldn't take the memo that was sent to the dean. More of providing information (and a little CYA for her?) And this ENTIRE Christmas season I've only seen ONE SA kettle. Of course I only go to grocery stores but still. THey used to be there every day. Only once! ANd I'm at the store at LEAST every other day. I feel better that the "probate attorney" gave you his whole name so you CAN google him. Maybe you can sell your house to him, make a ton of money and get a show called "FLIP THAT HOUSE WHILE YOU WORK A FULL TIME JOB AND RUN BACK AND FORTH TO MICHIGAN" I'd watch it. SANDY is a CANAPO bed like a CAN-A-POO BED? tee hee hee I'm so immature. WHen I was a kid I had a canopy bed. MARY I do it a bit differently. I hit REPLY then immediately go to Font and Size and then when I type, the font and size is what I clicked on. And my Kroger was like your HEB. Tom Thumb was easy in and out probably b/c it costs about 50% more than Kroger. But it was worth the extra money in this case, esp since I only needed about 20 things max. WOW as I was typing this is just started POURING. It was really foggy out at 9, and damp and cold so Petey peed and turned right back around. But I had no idea it was going to POUR like that. So FINALLY I figured out how Christmas and Eve are going. Bob and I will go out to dinner tomorrow at One2One, come back and open gifts and have a Christmas toast and listen to music. Christmas day he's going to his moms in the early afternoon. We'll have a late-ish dinner of prime rib. It's grassfed so it will probably be tough but oh well. I bet Mary and Joseph didn't even get tough prime rib. All is relative. Good night gals. Catch you tomorrow. |

Celeste - I was pick the font and size first.
I just realized I got elfed yesterday. There is this little and I mean little old lady who has bright red hair. She is one of the ladies that gives out samples at the store. I had seen her name on the prayer list at the cathedral last we. So, I stopped and asked her how she was, etc. At the end of the conversation she came from behind her station and gave me a big hug.
I still haven't wrapped any presents. I think the z PAC has helped, but I am just so tired.

I would like to find a traditional church service for tonight or tomorrow; Iāll look up the local catholic and Methodist churches and see what the schedule are. Iāll be off to pick up Robbie in an hour or so, then I need to spend some me time at home for a bit to relax. Iām trying not to burn the candle out before I go to MI. I was having a āmomentā this morning, and called Sis ā she understands. Itās all good.
Oh I watched āSullyā yesterday and I thought it pretty good. Eastwood portrayed the story in a way that you really felt the emotion of the event.

CELESTE dang, will need to shelve the flipping career right now. Joe Huffman apparently is a legit RE agent, who may use improper tactics ("scare, blockbuster, panic") to solicit properties. Apparently when you call back there is a recording, but the company is not registered anywhere. There is a Huffman Properties out of NJ, and one I see in Greater New Orleans, LA. The LA Joe Huffman has a LinkedIn page, but I don't have membership to access.

Good morning,
Slept in til 8:45. Had a bagel & will make a b'fast dish for lunch. Kids have to get to church by 4:00 to do a practice run again and Zachary is making his singing debut tonight with our band. Was not sure that was going to happen b/c practice w/ our lead singer kept getting rescheduled. She got w/ him yesterday & they sounded really good.
I moved all my pictures into a container yesterday and DH took the tables over to the other house. When I got up this morning, he was picking up his tool stuff & moving it to the garage. I have a ton of stuff in the front room that I need to go through. Last time, I threw away a lot. I have a container I plan to put the rest in until I'm ready to toss it.
Time to get moving. BBL

Good morning everyone. We have been on the go since yesterday so I didn't get to post.
After we got back from Kentucky yesterday, we went to my friend's dad's funeral service. Took her some cookies. Also spent several hours visiting with her kids. Hard to believe we've known them so long.
Then it was out to dinner with another couple. The wife lost her dad 7 days ago....I feel so bad for her. She is just not able to do Christmas stuff right now. Hasn't shopped and isn't going to. I gave her cookies, too. And DH and I bought their dinner. The husband just changed jobs and didn't get paid yet, so figured it would help.
This morning we met for Christmas breakfast with the guys Joe used to work with when we started dating.They closed the company when the owner retired, but most of the guys continued working with each other at other companies. Then it was off to Walmart for a few groceries for next week's lunches.
Now I need to clean house. Yuck!

LOUISE I think it's those little ELFs that don't seem to be a big deal.... that often ARE a big deal. It's so nice to know someone's thinking of you.
As for your DD it could be worse. I thought you were going to say that your DH left the iron on one place too long and burned a hole in the shirt. Though iron shopping on Christmas Eve was probably NOT on her schedule.
SUZE when you you going to MI? Though I 100% would love to see you, please don't feel obligated to be going going going all the time. Life is way too short.
OK WOW on that attorney. Sounds like a real piece of work. He probably hopes he finds some elderly single person and preys on them. CREEP. And somehow the TEXTING part of it was REALLY weird. An actual LETTER is better. An actual PHONE CALL where you speak to a live person, since it seems he has your number is better. I guaran-damn-tee, my ex has NEVER texted a potential client. I bet he never texted a client PERIOD unless perhaps they asked which I don't see.

Petey woke up this AM and threw up on my bed. From his surgery when he was having bloody drainage, I have an old sheet on top of my NEW bedspread. So he walked to the 1/4 of the bed where the sheet had folded back, exposing the bedspread. So I ran over there as he wretched and moved he sheet over. So HE moved to the 2 square feet where the sheet wouldn't reach. I had a pair of new leggings I had just unwrapped so put THEM under to cover the rest of the bedspread, thinking leggings are easier to wash. But he was able to throw up right at the crotch area and the legs were spread out like 2 inches. So the perhaps 6 square inches of spread that wasn't covered??? Yup, you guessed it. He's obviously an expert marksman. SHEEEEEESH. I did get some anti-nausea meds down him. Hope they stay down. It's ALWAYS something. But I have to get used to it that he's a dog that vomits at the drop of a hat. Just the way it is.

Celeste,The font size is strange.I just made sure Chrome was set for 125% and it is.It is smaller on different themes.LMAO on you being bipolar with just 1 pole.It was fun doing that ELF yesterday.It was so small but really seemed to make their day.My haircut does feel good even though she didn't cut a whole lot off.I can see you looking like a stop light.Petey sure looks comfortable laying there in your pic.Is he still doing better?

Okay Celeste.You are prob off Sandy's Christmas list by now.This morning it was 65 and foggy when I woke up this morning.Kenneth and I went for a walk around 11:15 and by time we got back it was 73 and sunny and it felt hot.The ceiling fan is now on.
