DebDoesWW,I heard that they no longer will be selling Calculators - They do sell them on Ebay and Amazon. Have heard so much about the new plan - hope it isn't as bad as some of the messages that have been posted.

Well, I said I was only going to lurk from now on, until the new plan is released, but how can I when I log in here to see such a caring group.
I so agree with Deb. After Smartpoints, things can only get better. And if the new plan is not for me, I have Pointsplus, which to me is just an easier way of counting calories. Judy, please don’t stress. You are such a weight loss success. Just keep doing what you’re doing if the new plan is not for you.

I was horrified when the new smart points came out. You were penalized mightily for having a piece of birthday cake, and even skim milk went up in points. And I always had a problem with the 3 color plan. Green recipes are higher in points, which bothers me, even though I get more daily points. Purple recipes are lower in points, but you get so many fewer daily points. Freestyle and blue features FF greek yogurt a lot, something I can't abide. I would like to see olive oil, oatmeal, and skim (or 1%) milk be 0 points. It would be nice to be able to use just as much olive oil as you need for a recipe without having to measure.

Yes, I would like points to be a more honest representation of calories, the way Pointsplus were. Heck, I would even welcome back a more modernized version of the old food selection plans that were before points. Anything but Smartpoints.

limefan , Changes didn't bother me until Smartpoints, up until then all the programs worked great for me. Freestyle really soured me on their program changes, coming up with Green redeemed them a little but now I'm nervous about this change and all this talk about zero-point foods. I did not do well with SmartPoints, but purple made the plan workable for me. I hope with the new one, I can have the same 0 points foods that I have now and the low daily points. If not, I will figure out a way to make it work for me. The mistake I made with going from Points Plus to SmartPoints was that I changed the way I was eating in order to work with SPs. I tried to eat all my points, but I ended up gaining weight because it was way too much food for me. So, this time when the change happens, I am going to continue to eat as I have been on Purple until I figure out how the new program will work for me. If it does not work, then I will go back to Points Plus or even Simply Filling using Points Plus. Just because the program is changing does not mean you need to change what is working for you now.

bbbearsmom, Right now I am not doing any WW plan. I am recording calories but not really trying to lose weight even though I am above goal. I had a vitrectomy (eye surgery in July) and am having cataract surgery this week for one eye and then next week for the next eye. So, really not working on weight loss at the moment just trying to maintain. However, if I was working on weight loss I would just be counting calories. I have done green off and on sometimes more successfully than others. I was at goal on maintenance when it came out and I was able to maintain on it. Then when Freestyle came out (now blue) I did not do well at all and it was during that time I got over goal. For a while I did Points Plus on itrackbites but didn't like the app and having to do it on my phone. During all this I kept on calorie counting. I will always do that even if I do try to also stay within points. I am intrigued by being to personalize the points that are zero for you. One reason Freestyle didn't work for me was that I didn't eat enough of the zero point foods each day to make up for the loss of points. Yes, I did eat chicken and fish but they were already low points. I didn't eat Greek yogurt so that didn't help, etc. But I did theoretically like the idea of a plan that would help me structure my eating to more healthful foods. But, even so, they need to be foods that I can stand to eat....

I was just thinking that I find it curious that there are really no information leaks from the testers. I’m wondering if like WW employees, WW testers who are members, now have to sign a disclosure that if they leak anything they will have to forfeit their membership. I know the employees can get fired, but maybe the members lose membership. Anyone know? It is less than a month away for release, and I remember during the Freestyle testing period there were leaks left and right, with a good summary of the program. In fact someone leaked a Question and Answer booklet for leaders about Freestyle that just about covered everything. Anyone remember that? I can’t remember if it was in this group or not.

The testers are people in a clinical trial at a university medical center, not necessarily WW members. I'm sure they have to sign a non-disclosure as part of the trial.

At one time the UK members got the plan weeks before the US did, so a lot got leaked. They are now rolling everything out at once.

Thank you Roz and Laura. Here’s hoping for an improved plan for 2022.

I remember first seeing it on IG weeks before the rollout. Someone posted something a leader shared.

As you know I worry about the new program. I was thinking this morning how glad I was to have this group to help me through getting use to the new program. Then I wondered how many of you are actually doing the WW program now and will getting on the new program? Me too. I'm actually excited about it - hoping the chance to delve into change will help me get the kickstart I need right now! And I plan to start posting here for accountability!

Then I wondered how many of you are actually doing the WW program now and will getting on the new program? I am. I joined in 1999 and never left, I've always done the current program - except for SmartPoints which caused me to quit my part-time gig as a WW receptionist of 15 years. I gained 10 pounds while drifting along and not tracking because I abhorred Smart Points so much. I personally like the Purple/Blue/Green options. I am settled in with Green, having great success, and am very worried about changing plans now that I've found my momentum.
