Thank you PHyl, I hate to be nosey but I also know that some doctors don't explain things and some need to be asked about tests like that gastric motility test. I don't know why they aren't more on the ball these days. It's almost like you have to tell them what to do. Even on tv ads for certain meds they tell you to ask your doctor. And I'm not a know it all but I do know that my doctor didn't know several things I mentioned to her so right then and there she looked it up on the laptop they keep in every exam room and admitted that she hadn't know and thanked me for the info. So if you ever feel like I'm being intrusive then just let me know.

My sister in law, who has a whole bunch of medical issues which are completely different than Phyls, has a pulmonary doctor, her primary care doc and a cardiologist. She has had to fight with the doctors to get decisive decisions regarding some of her meds, some of which no one seems to have prescribed but have somehow snuck into her list of meds to take. (She is a retired nurse, understands a lot). So I feel for you Phyl- sounds like you are working at getting good answers. I wish you the best and hope that the FODMAP diet works well for you.
Ruth, those crocheted swirly hangers are so cute and yes would be sweet above a baby’s crib…..bet they are good yarn stash busters too!!! Are you making some for your great grands?
CJ- love the mini sawtooth quilt blocks. Just adorable. Had trouble opening the Jacquliynne Steves link last night (internet issues) but will attempt again. Sounds like that will be fun to join and September might be an easy month for me to do so…..are you going to do that quilt along?
Trying to remember what I said last night…..guess I will get t his post in and see you later.
Got a bit of crocheting in last night…love the way the afghan is turning out. Ginny

Yes I will be making some swirly things for the grandchildren. I made two yesterday...they aren't completely done yet because they need something to hang from the bottom and need ends woven in. Dh say me making them and was speculating on where we could hand some outselved. I didn't even know if I wanted to hang any for us but I guess I will. Another person that has a pattern for them has a crocheted bee at the bottom and yet another has a bee at the top and the swirly hanging from it. I am thinking of putting a couple little bells at the end. Not for the ones I make for the people here since there is a baby and a young toddler so not strangling or chocking hazard will be on the ones from them.I'm sure that if a "little person" got the swirly around their neck it could be very serious so hanging from the crib will only be a good thing until the baby can stand and reach it. You know how I am about the safety of my projects. The afgan will definitely take longer than I originally thought (doesn't everything?) because I didn't work on it at all yesterday. I will today though and maybe get both ends done. The the border.
Anyway, it's good to see you here today, Ginny. You were missed

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well today Phyl - I hope the medical people can get everything with your medications straightened out and that you are feeling much better soon. Ruth - Those swirly crochet strings are cute. Ginny - I'm glad you are liking how your afghan is coming out. I will probably do the Snowman quilt along. She has easy patterns and it's fun to see pictures of other quilter's blocks on her Facebook page. I made 2 of the ones from last year - one Christmas and one Fall/Autumn. Maybe I'll do something like that again. Sue - Hope you are well. The weather here is cooler, in the 80s so that is nice. We had a thunderstorm overnight and it looks like they are predicted for each day next week. Hopefully some will pass me by. I finished Block #6 of the Pat Sloan's Summer Soiree quilt along. You can see some of the blocks made on this website, although more quilters are posting on her Facebook page now. www.ilovetomakequilts.com/2021/08/block-6-summer-soiree.htmlI think I've figured out how to work with my fabrics for the last 6 blocks. I'm going to try to use all 5 main fabrics in each block, if possible, or at least 4 of them. This way they will be more cohesive for me. I don't like that scrappy look and prefer my blocks to match better. I'm still going to have to remake Block #1 since I used a different fabric in it, but I'll wait until the end of the blocks to do that - just to make sure I have enough fabric. I also pulled out some fat quarters from a packet I bought from Keepsake Quilting years ago. It has 5 fat quarters in a fabric line that are based on a painting by Georges Seurat - "Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte". I've been wanting to use these for years, so I might just make a small wall hanging. I'll be checking out the Slow Sunday Stitching blogs today too. Hope all of you get to do some crafting today. Take care

I figured you would make them for your little ones…..and know you would put them in a safe location so they would not be a choking hazard or strangling hazard. My Dd is noting that DGS likes to see things on the wall….as his vision is maturing. Oh, all these projects take more time than we plan, the 30 minute table runners take an hour, etc…..but they are fun!!! Hope you can make some progress on the afghan today, Ruth.
Hard to believe Monday is tomorrow. Time to crochet! Ginny
