My 2 and 3 point flavored yogurts (Oikos triple zero) went down to 1! I eat those most days. I'm happy about that. Well, since I was here yesterday I've redone the assessment twice! I wanted to see if I marked full fat dairy if it would give me a break on cheese. NOPE! But I did get more points. Then I thought about what I was eating this week and realized I am eating mostly beef and pork this week AND the "breakfast cookies" that I made for snack, contained oatmeal. So I did the assessment again this morning to include those and I decided I would put in popcorn too because I could have that instead of other snacks. My dailies went down to 24. I have no idea what my weeklies started at. I guess I'll see when I get a reset, I think on Thurs. I am concerned that my weeklies will run out when I need them for a full week. I have pizza every Fri. for dinner, either restaurant pizza (stayed the same) or frozen pizza went up 1. Plus I have a fast food lunch once a week. I haven't checked those points yet. I decided to measure the water I have over the course of a day. I came up short. I have to confess, I would make the water point if I gave up my soda at dinner time. I don't track it and now the points are just ridiculous and I won't track it. I suppose at some point very soon I will have to switch to water and then I'll get my water point. I had stopped the soda at dinner time a while ago. Then when I got sick, I was drinking soda for the calories and the liquid. Sometimes it's just hard for me to get water down. It wasn't a problem with those soda calories because I lost weight rapidly during those 3 weeks that I felt really bad, over 6 lbs. Of course, some of that has come back, about 2 lbs. but I think I'm back in losing mode. But over 2 lbs a week has never been my pattern of losses. However, drinking soda again made me want to continue to have 1 a day. Well . . .needing more points could inspire a sooner switch away from soda. I made my instant pot chili yesterday. I updated the recipe and it went up 1 point. However, it also said I got a veggy point. It was interesting, not only were the canned tomatoes, peppers and onions marked with a +, so was my zero point plain tomato sauce. My chili is completely mild. No actual chilies or chili powder in it. It's seasoned with mild spices and is tasty but not spicy hot. I used to make it stove top and really the instant pot doesn't save a whole lot of time. However, it requires very little watching and that's the appeal of the instant pot, that and the fact that unlike the crock pot, which also takes little watching, you can brown the meat in the instant pot and give the veggies a little sautee before adding everything else and you don't have to think about starting dinner at breakfast time. So instant pot = one pot meal and works with starting dinner at the normal time. I have to save time and steps wherever I can and certain things I couldn't make if it wasn't for the instant pot. DH wanted stew a while back. I said no, I just don't have the time. But then I felt bad and thought of the instant pot, found a recipe and now we have stew on a regular basis. Thank you instant pot! Well, all this excitement over the new plan has been thinking about points and food, obviously. I hope I can settle into the current assessment at least for the next week. I'm trying to not think about the old green plan.

sunrose - Good luck with meeting your step goal again today Hope the new program is going well for you so far. Linda - Sounds like you are figuring things out so far and I hope it continues to work for you. I'm glad you found a good recipe to make in the Instant Pot, they do seem to be a nice timesaver. I went grocery shopping this morning and did pretty good with not bringing junk back in the house. I bought some nice fresh fruits and vegetables that I'll enjoy. I did buy some chocolate covered graham crackers - I've had a weird craving for those The last time I bought them I did pretty good portioning them out, so hopefully I'll do well this time too. Hope everyone has a great day

Good morning
Linda, I have taken the assessment a couple times too. Some of my things that I eat have gone up and some down. So I feel like itβs kind of a wash. Iβm trying to focus on tracking each day.
Cj59, you are doing great! Good for you portioning the cookies out.
Waving to all
I did meet my step goal yesterday. I will do the same today. Still trying to focus on this new program

I managed to leave the program alone, no new assessment! LOL The added points are helping keep the weeklies supplied. Right now I have 19 left but I think it will reset tomorrow. I am anxious to see what I will start with tomorrow. I will go to the meeting and WI later today. I think I'll have a loss this week. Tomorrow I will make stirfry for dinner. I am wondering how the points will end up. But I'm not pretracking it today. Tomorrow will be a busy day. Someone is coming to cut DH's hair. It's overdue! Since his stroke, we have been having someone, a family friend, come to cut his hair which is good because right now I can't take DH anywhere. Our wheelchair accessible mini-van needs some work. They said it's not safe to drive. However, the parts might take 5 weeks to come in! Ugh! That's going to mess up some dr appts. We will see what happens. I'm praying the parts will come in a lot sooner! Have a good day everyone!

Hello sunrose - Congratulations on meeting your step goals Hope the new program will work well for you. Linda - Hope you had a good WI at your meeting today and that the new program is going well for you too. Sorry to hear about the mini-van problems and I hope they get fixed soon. It's nice that you have someone to come in and cut your DH's hair. I've done pretty well so far this week, staying on track each day. I've walked 2 of the 3 days this week, but had a lot of activity on the one I didn't walk - so hopefully that balances it out. I've been "afraid" to weigh in recently since I had so many overeating days - at least it seemed like I did. I may try to do it sometime in the next few days. I just always worry that seeing a gain will derail me, but often it motivates me to stay on track. I had a family member pass away unexpectedly this past weekend, and I'm really trying not to "eat" my emotions and feelings over the loss. So far I've managed not to, but I have had lots of thoughts about want to eating to deal with the pain. I do know that many years ago I would definitely have overate in response to something like this, so I do feel that I've gained some strength and better ways to cope now since I haven't gone straight to food. Hope everyone checking in is doing. Take care I

I was down .8 at WI. I have decided I need to change my eating to make the program work. I think I am going to try a couple of things over the next couple of weeks but probably not today. 1) make popcorn early in the day so it's ready and easily accessible.. 2) find out if there are some recipes that veggies are the main ingredient for breakfast (other than omelets because I don't use a cup of veggies in a normal sized omelet) and 3) find recipes for lunch that have veggies as the main ingredient (other than soup or salad. I like both but lately it's harder for me to eat salads, they don't agree with me most of the time, and although I love soup, i want variety and not just different kinds of soup.) I think that's the idea in this new plan . . .veggies, veggies, veggies. So I'm going to see if I can increase veggies where I don't usually have many. I see my weekly points start at 14 so there's not a lot and I do need to increase them. Have a good day everyone.

I'm still trying to get all this figured out with the new program. It's taking a long time. I need to start doing some holiday preparations and I've had no time. If I can't get anything done today, I'm going back to green on itrakbites for the next few weeks, till I have more time to spend on this. It takes time finding recipes I will like with the new progam in mind. I've started. I have a couple of links with a bunch of breakfast suggestions but I have to look closely and see if they are going to add the points I need. On the other hand I'm ahead on weekly points at this point but I haven't tracked my fast food lunch yet. It should be interesting to see how this works out. Have a good day everyone.

Hi Linda - Congratulations on the weight loss. Hope you can figure out things on this new program so it works for you Everyone seems to like ITrackBites, so I hope that helps you for a few weeks. Hope everyone is doing well. I'm staying on track and walking, but really fighting with myself not to overeat. I did weigh myself and it looks like I've gained a pound since the beginning of October, so I'm not worried about that. Weighing has motivated me to stick with it. The holidays are such a tough time for me, since I love all the holiday food so I need to figure out a way to eat what I want and enjoy it but not go overboard. Some years I'm good at this and some years I'm not Hope you all have a great weekend!

I have decided to track on itrackbites to see how I'm eating, knowing what works for me but I'm double tracking on the WW app. I want to get the new program working but I am finding although many foods have stayed the same in points, of the foods I eat regularly, more went up than down. With less daily and weekly points, I have a big old negative number in my weeklies right now that is very frustrating to me. On Fri. night, I added a salad to my usually 1 slice of pizza. I figured: veggie points! BUT +1 for veggies, -1 for dressing, it was a wash. And for whatever reason, I was hungry in the evening after eating more than I usually do and had a high point disaster! Well, that made me decided I need to keep track on what I know works. I lost slowly on green but I was losing. Feeling discouraged and like a failure, which the negative numbers always do to me, it not going to help me succeed. I need more time to figure this out. Right now I'm experimenting with adding veggies. But it will take some time to figure out recipes and new habits. The reason I didn't post yesterday, in using itrackbites, I needed to pay for an upgrade to open up more functionality. Well, it didn't work, I ended up getting locked out of my email account, changed my password twice. I'm still not back in. 72 hrs before they let me back in. ugh!

I got my email back but I'm hesitant to pay for itrackbites! Well, I redid the assessment. I have 27 pp now. I think they redid the other days I tracked this week but my weeklies remained the same. -18 after tracking today. Oh well. I know I'm on track from itrackbites. Fri. was a disaster and will remain with me the rest of this week. I am just going to try to keep a positive attitude and do what I know works. itrackbites tells me I'm on track even if WW tells me I've really gone over this week. I figured out if I hadn't messed up on Fri, I'd still be at -7 weeklies right now. That's my concern, that is will be hard to stay out of the negative numbers. Well, we will see what happens when I have more time to try to tweak what I'm eating. Have a good day, everyone!

Hi Linda - I hope you can get things worked out so the program will work for you, whether it is WW or Itracksbites. It's really terrible when they change programs like this and what was working before is different now Good luck with all of this I'm doing alright I guess. I've been doing a bit of overeating, but trying to keep that under control as much as possible. Hope everyone else is doing well. Take care

I have a goal starting with my reset on Thurs. I am really trying to learn to deal with seeing negative numbers and not feeling like it's saying, "you're not doing this right." So my mess up on Fri. was 11 pp. I'm going to make my goal to be 5 less in the negative than this week. that still gives me a little room to not have to "be perfect" and to also feel positive that I accomplished my goal. This way, I won't have to double track. When I restarted with green in Feb., I started just eating what I was eating and tracking it all. My points were in the 40s and 50s. Then one day, I got a blue dot, using 38 sp. I really felt at that point I was starting to get it. And soon after that, i really got it. So, I'm thinking this will work the same way. I'll get closer to where I want to be, but maybe not quite there yet. I just checked the new points on the treats I have been making. (Didn't check nice cream because I won't be eating that till it's warm again). Most went up. two stayed the same. I checked to see if WW had any new recipes for brownies (mine went from 4 to 5 but it's a big brownie. I suppose I could cut them smaller). I don't feel I have the points to spend on a 5 point brownie. Just for information, I briefly changed itrackbites into counting calories. I found out my tracked food for today was 1300+. (Don't remember the exact number). But even at 1400, I should be able to lose weight. I really don't think eating fewer calories is practical, at least not for "most of the time". I'm looking forward to the reset on Thurs. and no longer double tracking.

My aide to help with DH has not been here all week. She assured me she would come today because I have my WW meeting. No word from her. she didn't show. I understand her kids have been sick and I was very nice about her not coming. But she didn't even let me know today. Anyway, I went ahead and did a zoom meeting. I was encouraged that the leader said she gets 19 pp but needs 26 a day. Sometimes she's in the negative. But sometimes she can overcome the negative with extra points we can earn. I'm going to try to find some zero point dressings/dips for my veggies. Then I can add them and actually benefit from the extra points. I did my WI at home. I was down .4 but that was not dressed. Dressed I probably would have had a gain or stay the same. I'm not changing my numbers on my signature till next week. We finished online christmas shopping for the two youngest grandsons. the other two will be harder. I need more info about an item on the 19 year old's list and I need a list from the 18 year old! LOL but I feel good about having the little guys done. I found out our youngest daughter's family is coming for thanksgiving! I'm making turkey breast and they offered to pick up sides from whole foods. Yay! less cooking for me (although i always make it very easy for myself). I ordered an apple pie from my other daughter's church. So it won't be too bad. the bad thing is, there will probably be a lot more point/calories in the whole foods dishes than my homemade alternatives. But, I want to enjoy visiting with the family and not cooking. My middle daughter and her son will also be there. she comes every thurs to help me with DH so thanksgiving is no different. I think she likes the excuse to get away from home because her in-laws live with them. I am feeling more optimistic with the new program and the new week starting tomorrow! Have a good day, everyone.

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well. sunrose - Good to see you post. Linda- I'm happy to hear you are able to have family over for Thanksgiving, I hope you enjoy their company and the meal. I'm glad you were able to watch a zoom meeting since you couldn't go in person. Wishing you look with working the new program over the next week. I've been doing fairly well - a bit of overeating but not too bad since I don't have much junk in the house. I know I shouldn't have any junk food in the house, but I'm not too good at sticking to that rule Take care
