I haven't heard from the aide that helps with DH, I think she isn't coming back because I asked her her on a text if she would be able to come next week. No answer. This is such a difficult time of year to have to spend the time looking for someone. Today is my reset for the WW week. yay! I've got a couple of things figured out. A zero point dip for my raw veggies. And I'm going to use oikos triple zero cherry greek yogurt for frosting on my muffins! I think they will be yummy. (Dark chocolate and chocolate chip 1 point muffins). the yogurt will add zero points as long as I use no more than 1/3 of the container. I ended the week with -21 weeklies. Next week, I don't expect to be perfect but my goal is to have no more than -16 weeklies at the end of the week. That will be a move in the right direction. I finally got a list from the 18 year old so I can continue christmas shopping for the grandsons. And then i have to work on shopping for DH's christmas presents. Have a good day everyone.

Hi Linda - I'm sorry you will have to look for a new aide to help with your DH, I hope you will find someone soon. Sounds like you are figuring out the program and I hope this week is a good one for you. Your muffins sound like they will be delicious, hope you enjoy them. Good luck with getting the Christmas gifts bought. I only give money now so it's a lot easier.
Hope everyone checking in is doing well. I've had a good eating day, but I missed my walking since it was a hectic day. Hopefully I can get back to it tomorrow.
Take care!

Yup, it's official, I'm looking for a new aide . . .well, if the agency can't come up with someone then I might have to just do without one till things slow down after the holidays. But I am going to try to find someone so I can go to the meetings, a separate person just to do that time. So far, one day down this week and I have most of my weeklies, thanks to veggy points and activity points. Today should work about the same. We will see. I'm still on hold finishing my christmas shopping. Trying to get more info from the older two. Yesterday I used the cherry yogurt as the frosting on my muffins. It was really good but right after I ate it, something didn't agree with my stomach. I'm not sure it had anything to do with the yogurt or muffins, but not sure it didn't I'll try again and see what happens. I have a new idea for a sweet treat. I'm going to make a baked apple tonight for 0 pp. That fits into my points budget reaaly good! LOL I was looking for some low point caramel sauce but they are made with sweeteners I don't eat. I only do stevia and small amounts of real sugar. the alcohol sugars taste really good but don't agree with me at all. so I am limited what I can use for sweet treats. have a good day everyone!

Hi Linda - I'm glad to hear this week is going well so far. I hope that you can find a new aide to help with your DH. And I hope you like the baked apple. I often chop up an apple and add some cinnamon with just a splash of water and microwave it until the apple is soft. I enjoy having the warm apple. Sometimes I add raisins.
I've missed out on my walking for 2 days now, so I hope to get back to it this weekend.
Hope everyone is doing well and that you all have a great weekend!

the aide I interviewed yesterday didn't work out. Oh well. So I won't be able to go to meetings and will resume zoom meetings with my favorite leader on Mon. I'm going to do a reset on Mon. and change WI to Mon. This is a good week for that to happen with Thanksgiving. It will probably be a high point day and at least it won't be on reset day! The baked apple was good but I think I can improve it. the recipe I had called for thick slices. I think thin slices or bite size pieces would be better. And I'm going to see if I can find a point friendly topping, like maybe made with oats, to make it more interesting. I still have weeklies left. I'm not keeping up with how many i need between activity and veggies but I am still in the positive numbers so that encouraging. I found out my applesauce brownies ( a recipe I created myself) went up to 5 pp per brownie. However, these brownies are quite big. So today I'm going to have 1/2 for 2 pp and top it with the cherry yogurt. We will see how that works out. As you can probably tell, I like my sweets. I am willing to adjust what I eat to healthier choices and put in the effort to make something. But they have to be good and feel like a treat. Getting that figured out will probably be what makes or breaks it for me on this program. Summers are figured out with Nice Cream but this time of year is harder. Have a good day!

The aide contacted me! She'll be here this week. her phone was stolen. Not sure why she didn't come Wed. but I'm going to ask when I see her. So, I'm not doing the reset tomorrow. I should be able to go to the WW meeting. I have strategy for Thanksgiving. I anticipate being in the negative on reset day. I will be proud of myself for tracking everything. I will remind myself it's only one day, I don't have to be perfect and this must be liveable. And I will make my goal to get blue dots at least 3 times that week. With leftovers around, 6 days is not likely. so I'll make it achievable and go for 3. I'm still looking for good snack options because snacks are my downfall. Today I want to find a topping for the baked apple and I'll have it tomorrow. It's very filling. the 1/2 brownie with cherry yogurt frosting was good! I'll have it again today. However, I was still hungry after. I have to think about what i can do different today so I'm not hungry after. I have not gotten to negative weeklies so far! I'm encouraged by that. Have a good day!

Hi Linda - I'm glad the aide contacted you and I hope she'll be back this week to help you. Sounds like you are making good plans to deal with Thanksgiving food, I hope that works out for you. I really like sweet treats too, and it does help keep me on track to have some. Your recipes sound good and I hope they keep you on track I'm doing pretty well. I've been writing down my food but not putting the calories for each one, but I haven't been overeating a lot. I just have to give myself some slack during Thanksgiving and Christmas week, since I really enjoy the holiday foods. I also didn't get to walk for a few days but got my walk in today and hope to do that each day this coming week. Hope everyone is doing well

Well . . .I spoke too soon. Aide said on Sat. she would come. Today she didn't show up and I called her. She hung up on me! She's done so I did my WI today and I'm back to the weight shown n my signature. I also did the reset. And I attended the zoom meeting. I've got a recipe for microwave baked apple crisp. I kind of made up my own after looking at many recipes. I'm hoping it will be yummy enough to want it often. It is 4 pp, though. I have another idea for the baked apple that should be less pp. I'll try it next time. Have a good day everyone!

Linda, sorry to hear about the aide for your DH. You have great ideas for things to make.
Cj59, I give money too.
Things are about the same with me. I still donβt know what Iβm doing for Thanksgiving. Might be spending it alone again this year.

About Christmas gifts . . . with an almost 3 year old and a "will be 6 by Christmas", it's fun finding things they will like. The parents gave me lists to work from so that helps. The older two, I like it to be something other than cash. At least a gift card to somewhere they will enjoy. the 19 year old usually puts on his list work boots but the ones he wants now, really good ones, are more than I'll spend. The store said it's better to come and try them on, too. So that will be a gift card. The 18 year old, I will get a couple of things for. I have to get on that! one is skate shoes. He skateboards to work and refused rides unless it's raining hard. Light rain is not a problem for him. I feel like my eating patterns are changing with the new program. I was feeling lighter this morning. I scale hop everyday so I though, maybe I'll see a loss. Nope! It was a gain! I realize I've been using soy sauce a lot lately. Maybe it's sodium. But I love dressing/dip with raw veggies and salad! I'm getting zero point skinny girl brand vinaigrette salad dressing. I hope that will help. The baked apple with the apple crisp (lightened up) topping was good. It was more satisfying than without the topping. I lighted it up a little more so it was 3 pp instead of 4. I thought the topping would be a little crunchy. It wasn't but it did make it a little more interesting with a different texture. I'll probably do it again but next time I have a different idea. Have a good day!

Hello sunrose - Glad you're doing alright. I'm sorry if you have to spend the holiday alone. I'll be alone, but I'm pretty much used to that and actually prefer it sometimes. Linda - Hope you can get the program worked out for you and see a loss. I'm glad you enjoyed the apple crisp. I'm doing alright. I've given myself a break for a few days from tracking but I'm making sure to still eat fruits, vegetables and dairy and I always get my water in each day. I haven't been walking but I've had some issues in my house (with the furnace) so I've been on my feet and up and down stairs alot each day - I'm counting that as exercise Take care everyone!

My weight stayed the same today. So I'm going into thanksgiving with a gain. DD is picking up the side dishes from Whole Foods. I'm just making the turkey. So there will probably be sodium involved. I'm doing what I can, making it live-able. And there will be apple pie. I got lots of veggies coming but they are not plain. DH will be happy because there will be both mashed potatoes and stuffing. When I make everything, I tell him pick 1, I'm not making both. However, I will likely only have stuffing. Yesterday at lunch time I was going to have a 97% fat free hot dog (1 pp) on light bread (1 pp), string cheese (2 pp), grapes and, some veggies and dip (0 pp), and a bag of WW tortilla chips (2 pp). I was trying to figure out how to include more veggies on the hot dog and skip the veggies and dip. So I got the idea to slice up the hot dog, add peppers, onions, canned tomatoes and tomato sauce (I could have added seasonings but I didn't think of it at the time.). I cooked it all in the microwave and then added zero point fat free mozzarella. And it was a nice, tasty filling lunch. I couldn't finish my grapes. I was too full. And I didn't have the tortilla chips, although I did consider adding them to the dish for some crunch but I figured the crunch wouldn't last. DH said he'd eat the same. He liked it too. It was a 1 point lunch. DH had 2 hotdogs in his. I could even consider 2 hotdogs in mine. 2 might be 3 pp. Still, a 3 point lunch is not bad. I suppose I could do the same with chicken and have a zero point lunch. I could even vary the veggies. My goal this week is 3 blue dots. Two down and hopefully today will make 3. After tracking today I have 18 weeklies! That's good going into thanksgiving. Have a good day!

Scale hop was up 1.2. I'm hoping that's sodium! I tracked everything and i'm proud of that. 49 pp. All weeklies are gone and I have -1 after partially tracking today. I got my 3 blue dots on MTW. The next few days may not be that great with leftovers. Thanksgiving wasn't as little work as I expected. I thought everything would go in the oven. 1 thing had oven directions and it said when we ordered you'd need 40 min. to warm stuff. Well, the stuffing was 45. the mashed potatoes had microwave directions. I don't think anything else came with any directions! And they were not in containers that looked safe for microwave or oven. Most of it I put in the microwave. The gravy was the worst. it had microwave directions for 1 serving at a time! So I put that on the stove. There were I think roasted fingerling potatoes. DD3 wanted to warm them by sauteing them on the stove. DD2 suggested airfryer which was much easier. Both did help but I had to do a lot of it and try to slice the turkey breast at the same time. I put it in the rotisserie and it cooked in less time than they said. I guess I over did it. The slices were falling apart. it tasted good though. I hope everyone enjoyed thanksgiving. I did and the best part was the two little grandsons.

Scale hop was up .2 again. I hope I start seeing losses soon. I'm in the negative weeklies now but I am happy I've made my blue dot goal I'm still hoping for another one sometime this weekend. We will see. I decided I'm going to make some of the leftover green beans into a green bean casserole. It's a lot of points for veggies but we do like it and the green beans we got from whole foods were cooked "crisp" which I like, but there were not cooked enough for me and even more so for DH, who like softer veggies. Still enjoying thanksgiving leftovers and trying not no indulge too much into the desserts. Have a good day!
