Hi Linda - Hope the rest of your day is better I'm glad you and your DH get to go to your great niece's party and hope you have a good time. I got my walk in today, but I'm not sure how my eating is going to go. I had my meals planned but I have a slight migraine and sometimes I have trouble eating with those, so we'll see. I made some vegetable soup yesterday and wanted to finish that today, but I'm sure it will still be good tomorrow. Hope everyone else is doing well. Take care

I was thinking today that if I want to learn the PP program, I should probably track that first and then track green. But then I was thinking I know green works for holidays but not so sure about PP. I trust green more for that. So I'm going to wait and at some point I will switch to tracking PP first then green and hopefully, eventually be able to do pp alone. I have negative weeklies again this week. It's probably because of the honey I've been putting in my tea for my throat and eating toast for breakfast instead of yogurt. It made my breakfasts a lot more than 1 pp! Well, you do what you have to do when you're not feeling 100%. I'm running really late today so I better go. Have a good day!

Hi Linda - Hope you are starting to feel better. Good luck with working the programs, sounds like green is working for you well for right now, but I hope that you can figure out PP so it works for you, if that's what you would like I did my walking today and ate pretty well, but I went in the grocery store and bought some junk food today. My mind is definitely in that "holiday" mode where I think I have to make holiday foods. I'll just try to keep on eating healthy foods too and not get too much off track. Hope you are all doing well and that you have a great weekend!

Yesterday I realized i had a pretracked snack for a recipe I found on the WW app. It was microwave strawberry crisp. I was waiting till i got the low fat granola to try it. it was really good! I really liked the granola for the topping. The recipe was for 1 and was 3 pp and 3 sp. I could reduce it to 2 by using stevia instead of sugar. It was good and easy to make. the granola topping was great. If I used stevia, the 2 sp/pp for the granola would have been the only points. I didn't have cornstarch so i used flour instead. I checked online how much to substitute. It said double the flour, so it was 1 tsp. There are 4 ingredients: strawberries (1 cup), sprinkle with sugar/stevia (1 tsp) and cornstarch (1/2 tsp) or flour (1 tsp), and low fat granola (2 tbsp= 1/8 cup). I think I will be using this topping for my apple crisp too because it needed "something and I really like this. Sometimes for our pizza night, we eat frozen pizzas. They are actually more points than for a slice of restaurant pizza! But lately we have tried a couple of new ones. The stop and Shop thin crust extra cheese pizza we tried last night was actually the lowest yet! 9 sp/10 pp the restaurant pizza is usually 9 sp/9 pp. It was pretty good but I might need to add some FF mozzarella to it because for extra cheese it was a little skimpy in spots. I'm tryikng to plan ahead for tomorrow. the food at the party will be "mac and cheese with add your own toppings". It sounds really good but not very WW friendly! LOL Well, I'll figure it out but figuring out the points will be a challenge! Have a good day!

Hi Linda - Your strawberry crisp recipe sounds good, I'm glad you liked it. It's crazy how many calories are in frozen pizza, isn't it? I hope there will be some healthier topping choices for your mac and cheese tomorrow. Hope you enjoy the party I didn't walk this morning, so I'm hoping I can get some walking done this afternoon. Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend

Hi sunrose - Hope you are doing well How are you liking the new program? I've been walking and eating fairly well. I really need to get back to tracking though, since I know how easy it is to overeat when I don't write down everything. But it has been nice to take a break from it for a bit. Hope everyone else is doing well. Take care

Good morning
Linda, the strawberry crisp sounds so yummy. How did the party go?
Cj59, itβs hard to avoid holiday goodies.
I went to my neighbors last night for some wine and snacks. I had a little bit too much wine but all I had to do was walk across the street.
Iβm still trying to get into the swing of the new program. But to be honest I havenβt really been following everything like I should for several years now.

The party went pretty good. There was an option for a salad and raw veggies, that I didn't know about so that helped. I actually stuck to my plan at the party which is good, however, because of limited time to get DH ready for the party, I skipped some of my breakfast. I was fine till later in the day. And then I wanted extra things I hadn't planned for. I ate them but didn't want to track, mainly because on PP I already had 46 pp tracked. It was 34 sp on green. It was the PP total that made me not want to track and at that point I said to myself, if pp makes me not want to track then I shouldn't do it. And that was going to be my plan. but then on Mon. morning I went to the zoom meeting and a member commented that she was just eating as she had been before the plan change and our leader said she has heard that from so many people. then I said to myself, okay, I'll still double track and try to learn the new program. It was an eventful day yesterday, which is why I didn't post. A major thing I found out from DD#2 is that her son who was with us on Sun., was sent home from school along with his whole class because of covid exposure. As the day went on we found out more details that the exposure was last week on Tues. but the school didn't know till yesterday. The child with covid was sent home from school on tues. of last week. He was tested for covid but the family doesn't speak much English and his mom didn't realize she was supposed to tell the school. When the school called yesterday to find out why the child has been out of school so many days, they found out about his covid. The school wants the students in class to be tested tomorrow. If that wasn't enough for one day, I do Walmart grocery deliveries each week and anything I can't get from there, DD#2 gets for me on Thurs. or Fri. from another store. the Delivery on walmart's website is not working at all. I called them but got no real answers of when it might resume. Well, we will see if I can get what I need this week. In the frustration and upset of the covid news, which included canceling plans to visit DD#3 this week in her new apt. that we haven't seen yet, I didn't feel like having the treat I planned for yesterday. It was a WW recipe for a mug cake. It calls for a WW 2 pp bar but I dont' have those so I was going to use 2 pp of mini chocolate chips. I am hoping to try that tonight. hope we all have a good day today!

Scale hop today was down .8 surprisingly. I am going to try microwave apple crisp with the low fat granola today. I have an ambitious food prep plan today! besides making the apple crisp, for breakfast I tracked last night that I would make a two ingredient bagel (air fryer) for breakfast. I did. For lunch I'm making tuna salad sandwiches, which I have to make. And for dinner my plan is (air fryer) "onion chicken" and parsley potatoes. I hope I didn't over do it because I need to conserve energy so i can keep going to do DH's 10 pm meds. I also hope my chicken thaws! I took it out of the freezer this morning. It's been a while since I got chicken breasts from Costco. they are frozen in a solid block. (frozen them after I bought them home) I'd been getting other chicken frozen individually and they thaw quickly, don't need more than a few hrs. We will see what happens and maybe next time, I'll have to take out Costco chicken the day before. I have a plan b if the chicken isn't thawed today. Still trying to figure out my grocery situation. I called the local walmart store, chose the option to speak so an associate, and no one answered the phone as it rang for at least 2 min. Well, I think walmart has lost my business. Oh well. Have a good day.

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well Linda - I hope your DGD will get better soon, and that no one else in the family gets sick. Hope you can work out the grocery situation. sunrose - I'm glad you were able to enjoy some time out of the house I'm a bit off track again, doing well with some things but bad with others. I think this is just the way it's going to be through the end of this month.

Good morning
Linda, hope your DGD is better today. Thatβs frustrating on the Walmart front.
Cj59, itβs a hard time of year to stay on plan. Iβm trying my best too.
Met my friend for dinner last night it was really nice. The scale goes up and down. Iβll get outside and do some yardwork today

Just go be clear, I don't have any grand-daughters, I do have 4 grandsons: ages 19, 18, almost 6 (birthday in a week from now) and almost 3 (birthday next month). It was the almost 6 year old that is waiting for the covid test results but he has no symptoms of illness and is feeling fine. However, the almost 3 year old also was exposed to covid at school. He is not feeling well as of this morning but his symptoms are not typical covid symptoms, more like a stomach virus. Not sure if he was tested for covid. His class was also sent home. It was the teacher that had a positive test for covid in his class. We are supposed to be celebrating the 6 year old's birthday on Sun. but I don't know if it will happen at this point. I made the microwave apple crisp with the low fat granola topping. I really liked it. 1 sp, 2 pp. Great for a dessert-like snack. Scale hop was up again this morning. The good thing is at least I'm trending a little lower, kind of staying the same, but at a lower number. I continue to double track. With green, I hardly use any weeklies. With PP I use weeklies almost everyday but so far this week I'm not in the negatives. that's a plus! I planned a lot of food prep for myself yesterday. It wasn't easy but I did get it all done. It makes today easier because I'm eating almost the same thing today. But in the future I will try to spread out the meal preps to different days. If I had an aide it would have been easier. I do need to get someone but no time to look right now. DH and I had virtual appts set up with the primary dr today. However, somehow they had it down for next week on Mon. I am sure I wouldn't have set it up so I'd miss my WW meeting so they messed it up but I did have to call and find out why we hadn't gotten a confirmation call for today's appt. I guess I'll see if I need to do the WW zoom meeting on Wed. I'm trying to figure out what I have to do in order to do both things on Mon. or if it's really not possible. have a good day everyone.

sunrose - I'm glad you enjoyed dinner out with your friend Linda - I'm sorry I mixed that up about your grandson, I hope all of your grandsons will be alright Sometimes when I'm typing those acronyms my mind thinks faster than I type. I need to just stick to spelling out things instead of using the acronyms

DD#2 (mother of 6 year old DGS) got her negative covid test result but DGS's test result was not sent yesterday. They said up to 48 hrs so his should be in this morning. Scale hop today was surprisingly down 1.4. I hope today doesn't mess it up. We didn't have fast food lunch yesterday but may have it today and it's pizza night. I'm not 100% sure that's going to happen either because if DD#1's family doesn't order it, then as of right now, I don't have anything to make pizza, frozen or crazy pizza casserole . . . at least I don't think I do. If necessary I will check into making something from scratch, like substitutions I have for the pizza casserole. Or there is always plan C, breakfast for dinner (omelets). I need some low point treat ideas. I've been looking at the WW app and I found some interesting things. I'm not a fan of "cookie dough" but they have some what I call "fake cookie dough" ideas. I'm thinking about those. I need to decide because I THINK today I'll be getting my groceries and I need a few things for the recipes I saw. Today I did something different for breakfast. I was kind of low on veggies planned for today. I looked on the WW app for breakfast ideas. I saw something similar to tomato bruschetta. So I decided to make bruschetta for breakfast. (along with my usual banana and Canadian bacon. I think I'll keep this in mind for other days when I want to up my veggies. I enjoyed it. I put it on 647 sandwich roll. 3 point breakfast: 2pp for the roll, 1 pp for bruschetta (because there is a tsp of olive oil in it), 0 for banana and 0 for 1 Canadian bacon. Just now heard from DD#2. DGS's covid test is negative. Have a good day!
