Hello to anyone checking in Hope you are doing well. I needed to step away from "talking" about weight loss for a bit since I was just in a bad space in my head and with my behaviors. Back in May I started cutting out bakery items from my shopping visits so I wouldn't have them in the house. I did allow myself a few cookies that I could portion control, but I knew I needed to stay away from the cakes, pies, muffins, etc. So far, so good. I'm hoping to keep that up. A few weeks ago my knees were getting really painful, so I decided it was time to start losing weight again. I need to get that extra weight off my knees. I've been calorie counting for a few weeks now and it's going well. I just wanted to do something easy and not be on a special diet plan. I've lost some weight over the last two months and hopefully that will continue. I resisted dieting again, but pain is a great motivator to get on track I hope my knees will get better so I can do some daily walking again too. Take care

Cj59, it’s great to see you. I too have knee pain. I know losing weight will help. Counting calories is great. Glad you lost some weight!!

Hello - Hope everyone is doing well sunrose - Hope your knees get better. I've been tracking my food for 2 weeks. I just do it in an Excel spreadsheet on my desktop computer, since I'm on there every day. So far it's working out alright. Hopefully I'll keep doing it because I know I'm really bad at eating normal portions and junk food. So I need the accountability.

Thanks sunrose It's really hard to be motivated. Sometimes I get irritated that I have to count something that is 10 or 15 calories, just because if I didn't I would probably be eating 30 or 40 calories of it I'm really not eating a lot of calories each day, it's mostly averaging about 1200 a day. And the weight loss is very slow - guess it keeps getting slower and slower as we get older I hope you find something that works for you

Hi sunrose - I'm glad that WW is working for you and that you have a good leader and meeting. I really liked the leader and members I had in the group when I was going back in 2009-2010. I've been tracking pretty good for over a month, except for the last few days where I went a bit crazy I'm trying to get back on track today. I do like tracking, so it's something I need to keep doing. It is just so hard to stick with eating like this. I sure wish I could come up with a method that worked for me right now. It seems like all the things I did in the past just aren't right now and don't work. Guess I just have to keep working at it. Hope anyone checking is doing well Take care

Cj59, I can so relate to how you feel. I use to be so good with my eating. I would occasionally fall off the wagon, but got back on.
I think you said you count calories?

Hi sunrose - I can relate to you too If I'm not careful I fall off the wagon and it's years before I get back on! I am counting calories this time, it's just easier for me than dealing with calculating points right now. One of my problems is that if I could, I would just eat a bunch of junk every day with maybe a few fruits and vegetables a couple times a week. Otherwise it would be meat and potatoes and salty and sweet stuff. I have to really work hard to choose healthier foods each day - and every day seems like "work" to me. I wish eating like that came more naturally. Hope everyone has a good August
