Hello to anyone checking in here Hope you are doing well, and I'd love to hear how you are. I've been staying on track and hoping to continue with that. My weight loss has been slow, but at least I'm losing. I was spoiled (and younger) with always being able to lose at least 8 pounds a month. I think those days are gone I think I might make it through Thanksgiving alright, but I'm still concerned about holiday eating in December. I need to make sure I have a plan to get through that time. Happy Thanksgiving sunrose - I hope you have a wonderful day today and get to spend it with family It's a quiet day for me and I didn't get any special food for this year. I do have some turkey and gravy (prepared) that I'll eat today but I've been doing well with staying on track and I didn't want to mess that up. I may make some treats in December though. Hope anyone checking in is doing well.

Cj59, good for you staying on track. It is hard for sure. I’m a big carb person. I had all my favs on thanksgiving day. Scale was up a little, but coming back down.

Hi sunrose - I'm glad you enjoyed your favorite foods on Thanksgiving. I'm still hoping to have a few Christmas foods. I hope the scale keeps coming back down for you I like carbs too I sure do miss white bread - I try to limit that to one loaf a year because all the things I like to eat with it are high calorie Hope anyone checking is doing well

Cj59, wow on the bread. I have cut mine down to 3 slices a day. I like the 647 bread.
Nothing really going on here. Pretty much maintaining my weight for now. It is way to high though.

Hi sunrose - I'm glad to hear you are maintaining your weight for now. That's a success during the holiday season Hopefully you'll start losing again soon. I used to eat that 647 bread, but then didn't care for it. I tend to go through food cycles like that - enjoying a food, then not liking it. For breads I mostly eat Thomas's English Muffins - the Light Whole Grain variety (100 calories) or 100% Whole Wheat Sandwich Thins. When I get white bread, I start making all kinds of things with toasted bread and things like grilled cheese (with Kraft American cheese slices), meatloaf with the bread as my filler, etc. I could eat white bread everyday I'm doing pretty good, my weight loss has been fairly steady when averaged out over each month. I'm hoping I can stay on track for December for the most part. There are a few holiday things I want to cook/bake, so I need to try to fit them in. Hope anyone else checking in is doing well

Hope anyone checking in is doing well I'm staying on track pretty well, but haven't lost any weight this month. I was happy with the number on the scale at the beginning of the month and I told myself if I could just stay at that or below it for December it would be fine. So I hope I can do that.

Cj59, good for you on losing and maintaining this time of year. The 647 bread has a lot of choices so I’m not getting bored with it. I just need to work on my veggies. Have you tried the Velveeta slices? They are 1 point and make great grilled cheese sandwiches.

Hi sunrose - I'm glad to hear you are hanging in there, hope things go well for you over the holidays. Thanks also for the information on the bread and cheese. I really do like the old fashioned Kraft Singles cheese, it reminds me of my childhood I used to get several of those 647 breads too, I'm glad you can use them and not get bored. One thing that has been helping me with my eating is that I've been too busy to overeat. I had an opportunity to move this month from my old house (with lots of problems) into a newer rental house - so I took it and I've been busy with packing and all the things that come from a move. There have been a few times I've just wanted to eat to deal with the stress, but I've been able to avoid that and hope I can continue too. Hope anyone checking in is doing well

Cj59, congrats on the new place. Moving does keep you busy. That type of cheese reminds me of my childhood too.
I’ve had a bad week of eating. Ugh scale is up almost 3 pounds. I need to drink lots of water today and get some exercise.
