This is a yearly thread for those of us who have a lot of weight to lose. The definition of “a lot” is something that is determined personally, so everyone who feels they have a lot of weight to lose is welcome to post here.

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all having a very Happy New Year weekend I'm wishing and hoping that we all have a great year. Thanks always for the support everyone here has given to me. I'm not one much for resolutions, but I'd like to instead try to build on better habits. So I did walk today, only about 7 minutes, but that's more than I've done for a long time I'm hoping to walk every day and increase my time as I go. Hope you will all check in and let us know how you are doing. Take care!

Hi sunrose - I'm glad you can use your treadmill again I've been walking every day this week, and hoping to keep it up and increase my time. I'm up to about 10 minutes and hope to get to 15-20 by the end of the month. Hope everyone else is doing well

Hello - Just checking in to see how everyone is doing. Hope you can post if you have a chance and let us know.
I've been doing pretty well with walking each day. I only missed 2 days out of the 13 days so far this month. I hope to keep up with it and try to increase my time.

Cj59, yay for you on the walking!! I got on my tm yesterday for 10 minutes. Very slow but I’m walking.
I’m not doing very good. I really need to get my act together. 🫤😞

Hi cj59, just got off tm. Did 15 minutes at 1.5. It’s a dry. Tomorrow is my birthday so I hope to keep things in check this week. 😳

Hi sunrose - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! Hope you have a wonderful day and do something special for yourself I'm glad you've been able to get you on treadmill, hope that continues. I'm still walking as much as I can but can't seem to increase my time. I need to work on that. Hope everyone is doing well

Hi sunrose - Hope you enjoyed lunch with your friend today Sadly, I have slipped on the walking and stopped doing it. I really need to pick a time of the day to do it (like I used to when I was good at walking each day), otherwise it's easy for me to just forget about it. Hope anyone else checking in is doing well

Cj59, lunch was good. I use to exercise at 9:00 every morning. I have stopped doing that and need to get back in the habit.

Just checking in here today. Hope everyone is doing well. I would love to hear how you are doing since I could really use some motivation. I just don't know what is going to get me started at losing weight again. Just thinking about eating the foods I usually choose when losing weight doesn't appeal to me. I don't really mind food tracking, but I'm not enthusiastic about doing that again either. I've let my walking slide after doing well for the first half of the month. I know I don't need some "sign" that I need to lose weight since I'm already getting lots of "signs" every day with my mobility and energy getting worse. Maybe writing it all out here will make me realize I just have to start and maybe things will fall into place. Hope you have a good weekend

Cj59, unfortunately I’m not going to be much motivation help. The scale is up again. Ugh I have been walking with my neighbor. It’s helping me reach my daily 6k goal.
My DSis/dbnl are starting tomorrow on their journey. My brother-in-law use to be a weight watcher leader. And my sister has been a weight watcher member/receptionist in the past so they’ll be lucky to help each other.
I need to find my inner strength to do this. I know I can. I just need to start being more positive. It’s a start.
