My goal this month is to drink water.
Its not a lofty goal but it is do-able and important for summer.
My company started a Biggest Loser Challenege from July 3rd til the last week of October do I have plenty of time to do this the healthy way. We each pay 10$ total and depending on how many people take part the winner gets half and the other half goes to a food bank. The winner is based on % of total body weight lost.
I had planned to try to lose before October anyway because I am going to my sisters 50th HS reunion and mine is next year!
I wrote down some things for me to keep in mind :
1) drink water 2) Dont get anxious about it 3) Move 4) Plan most meals and snacks

hi I really blew today. But luckily I will try again tomorrow. I get my SSA tomorrow and shop Thursday I really bought a lot from qvc but I bought really neat things on easy pay . I will pay it off by November. I am getting a galaxy tablet. I have no tablet except for small amazon to read books on. I am hoping ear phone will fit on tablet. I bought kitchen items too . which I think will help me that were quite reasonably marked down. I bought a small fan that you control with a remote that is boxed in and I like that. I have a body blade that I found I still have. Getting the dvd for the 6 toning stops I remember on that dvd.But I bought fit from Amazon so I can watch the dvd on the tv that plays that do the body blade. I also bought bungie corded shows form sketcher you don't have to lace. I think will be the new walking shoes I need. I go try size in navy. Scott bought the same fan. I cant buy any more till December or next year. But everything I bought I can use. I bought something to crush blueberries other vegetable and homely make a smotttie with. I bough an ice cream make I hope to make healthy stuff. maybe with almond milk. everything was extremely reduced and I liked that. I even got a strainer that is easy to strain things that need stringing without making a mess. so I am excited. I want recipes for the cream maker which was reduced greatly. I am really happy with what I bought. I am going to get alot July 10 apparently. I will pay the shoes off by October and the rest by November. But I pay the higher rent in November for December. We are celebrating with healthy fruit downstairs July 4. also before that I am goin to portillows with Scott and Jen who is getting her tonsils out July 5. I am going to put food in 2 thermoses. And Scott will buy me a diet Pepsi or Diet Coke . I am lucky that I can afford this month to shop. I will eat healthier tomorrow.

my plan this summer5 starts today. Plan to only drink 6 cans of diet cherry pepsi and buy sweet potatoes and corn which I am eating today. Scott and I are visiting a intellectually challenged friend who used to live here. She severed a fire which she lived and got a emirs voucher to move and then we will walk to touchable where will bring some cherries and rice and peas and shrimp and carrots I get in a meal delivered. I heated that top and put in thurmes thAT I have. Scott will buy me a diet soda. I decided to buy 7 small bags of corn and 14 sweet potatoes. I see my doctor thursday I will ask me to write a letter to add another person I will ask to help me in apartment. then I fax that to where they can look at int and give a little more snap]

Hi everybody! Geez, I hadn't realized how long I'd been away from posting! I hope everyone is well. I've been struggling to stick to anything although the morning weekday gym routine is finally improving. And I even went to a spinning class yesterday and did the arm weight machines too! But I'm just not getting anywhere with my weight ... possibly because I keep eating everything in sight. Go figure!
June was a tough month for the family kitties. We (Susan and I) lost Peekies, very suddenly, I think she must have had two strokes. After I'm guessing the first one she seemed spacey and not quite herself but then two weeks later another must have occurred because she became heart-breakingly bad. I won't say more but we had to take her to the vet to put her to sleep. Meanwhile, Tim&Julie first lost their sweet elderly rescued persian cat Mew. Then they put in a request with a shelter for a persian kitten/cat when one became available. To everyone's surprise, one was available straight away! It seems there was a breeder/hoarder situation with a lot of persian cats and kittens but most were sickly. They adopted a cute and sweet little male who was sickly but got better only to development a neurological infection. They spent $1000s but the poor little thing just couldn't be saved.
How is everyone? I've got some catching up to do!
Meanwhile I have to mow the lawn, but procrastinating because it's pretty long. Between the rain and the scary air quality alerts I haven't been able to mow. It's pretty easy and under an hour when I keep up with it. My lawn only about a 1/4 acre. Really the perfect size for me and a nice flat lawn with lots of shade. But when the air quality is good it's raining and when the weather's perfect the air quality is bad. I so looked forward to this summer to get outdoors and healthy again and I've hardly been outdoors at all! So I sit inside in front of the boob tube and stuff my face.
I think you all should move to syracuse so I'll stop sitting around whining and feeling sorry for myself, and get outside with you all and walk and chat!

Mo, good luck with the biggest loser challenge! It's sounds great, a win-win. Even if you don't win, a food pantry benefits and I'm sure you'll get some weight off.

Brenda, you just have to scroll a long way. One of Mo's posts has a whole lot of blank lines. If I could open it and edit it, I'd delete all those blank lines. But I guess only Mo can do that.
Meanwhile I attempted to mow the lawn but it's so long and lush that I couldn't finish the front lawn. BOTH of the batteries were used up! I'm hoping that one of the batteries will recharge before the storms come.

I'm going to see if I can fill up page 1 of this thread with enough posts so we can go onto page 2 and it will be easier to read all the posts without the blank lines.
