Good Morning Challengers
Yesterday I did all 6 of my main HHs, stayed in my 💚 zone of pts. I had 3 meals, 0 snack, used 23 pts. We walked 3.6 mi for our Sunday breakfast out.
My “KISS” HHs (Keep it Simple and Specific) yesterday: - Do at least 10 mins of PT: N - Avoid salted snacks: 💚 - No “seconds” with snack: 💚 - No eating out of a container: 💚 - Limit phone after 9 pm: 💚 - Evening: Snack on Inspo; Read prayers, quotes, whys and goals: 💚 - FFE (Food-Free Evenings): 💚 - JGTB (Just Go To Bed) around 10 - 11 pm: 💚
We were able to have our Sunday breakfast outdoors at the restaurant. It wasn’t very sunny, but not too cold, in low 60‘s.
I had 17.2 mi for the week, compared with 10.8 mi the previous week when I missed 3 days being sick. No PT the last 2 weeks since I got sick, but I’ll get back to it asap.
This am it’s windy and raining off and on, so not going to walk. I’m not fully over this cold.
KELLY - GFY with the 5 mi weekend and getting in rest and reading. Glad the snow wasn’t too bad.
Be well, and take care, for ourselves and for each other.

Cait, Great job getting in your walking.
Kelly, GFY for resting and getting in so many miles.
Friday through Monday: 10,815, 11,258, 11,865, 12,265. Clair: All PT walks accomplished, PT exercises great! We played hooky from her evening PT one night and just had fun instead--She got a big kick out of that. We are on Day 94 since her surgery so now we are past the halfway mark on this recovery schedule. Supposedly her leg is healed but then it takes three more months to ensure the best success. I decided that month 4 would be Phase Four which is what we are in right now and am adding back FUN! She has her morning "love ins" with her siblings, a Meet and Greet also with her siblings and her Daddy (which is what I call him and they do know his name). Today we added Dance Party. And also added going back to her Therapy Work last week. So I will add them to her schedule here as Fun! X 4. This is so important. Hours are spent in her dog pen and she is such a good dog but needs pepped up to keep her happy disposition. We can do this!
I am still under the gun since annual big projects for work need to be accomplished. Finally today I can see that I will get it all done by the end of this week.
Waving to all Challengers!

Good evening!!!
Yesterday I did a 3 mile WATP. Work was very busy. I was exhausted and had a bad headache when I got home. I did our nightly devotional with my husband and went straight to bed. Woke up with the headache took some Tylenol and went back to bed after texting my practice manager to let her know I would come in between 9-10.
Feeling better this evening. I did take a 1.28 mile walk at lunch. Added 1 mile WATP this evening.
Cait: Good job on your HH's and your walk.
Michelle: You do awesome with all your steps. Glad all is well with Clair and her progress is awesome.
Waving to all!! Happy Walking!!

Last night I was tired from only getting 5-1/2 hrs sleep the previous night when I stayed up reading. I slept through most of the TV stuff in the evening.
It looks like we will be able to walk this am. Then we have to shop for a suit for DH for an event this weekend. His only suit doesn’t fit.
Be well, and take care, for ourselves and for each other.

Good Morning!! I added 2.28 miles on Tuesday and 2 miles yesterday. I was up late Tuesday night just couldn't sleep. Busy day off yesterday. Today only work til 12:30 since I work Saturday morning.
I actually went to WW meeting yesterday morning. My 1st in a long time. So difficult to get to one with only having Wednesday morning and Sat morning meetings.
Cait: Good job getting right back to your HHs. Hope the suit shopping was successful. Waving to all!! Happy walking!! WATP/EX: 234.17 Tracker miles:393.75 2024 WATP/EX miles:120.67 Tracker Miles: 191.81

Good Afternoon Challengers Yesterday I did all 6 of my main HHs, ate in my 💚 zone of pts. I had 3 meals, 0 snack, used 20 pts. We walked 2.2 min before breakfast. My “KISS” HHs (Keep it Simple and Specific) yesterday: - Do at least 10 mins of PT: N - Avoid salted snacks: 💚 - No “seconds” with snack: 💚 - No eating out of a container: 💚 - Limit phone after 9 pm: 💚 - Evening: Snack on Inspo; Read prayers, quotes, whys and goals: 💚 - FFFE (Food-Free Fasting Evenings): 💚 - JGTB (Just Go To Bed) around 10 - 11 pm: 💚 We got a suit for DH and it should be ready to pick up tomorrow. Now I have to figure out what I’m going to wear 🧐🤨. Not sure what I was thinking when I decided to go to this event and drag DH and our two friends 🤔🤷♀️. I’ve been feeling that I just want to go out and do things and be with people more. After we shopped we went to lunch at a place we’ve never been to on the beach. That was DHs reward for being a good boy 🤣. It suddenly occurred to me that my “food-free evenings” HH is essentially a fast from after dinner, until “break-fast.” For me that is often a little longer than 12 hours. Maybe calling it a “fast” will help me stick to it. Here’s a good article on “What the Science Says About Time-Restricted Eating.” Spoiler alert: time-restricted eating - basically giving our bodies a good-sized daily break from fueling - helps with weight loss. nutritionfacts.org/blog/what-the-science-says-about-time-restricted-eating Be well, and take care, for ourselves and for each other. Cat, Congrats getting all your HHS! That's interesting about the fasting.
Kelly, GFY wonderful consistency with the walking.
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 12,518, 11412, 12714 Steps. Clair: Great news! At her six week PT evaluation today we got told that her improvement is phenomenal. The muscle mass in her atrophed leg increased 3 centimeters with only one more centimeter needed for both legs to be the same size. We (that's Clair and me) were told it's because of our relentless dedication to her PT. Hooray!!! Now just have to keep going. I increased her pen length so now I can fit in there to get my Yoga done which I call Yoga Doggy when I get help??? from a dog. I got one day done with Clair's very cute assistance.

Good Morning!!
I added 2.56 miles 2 mile WATP and a little stroll later.
Not a good on plan WW day. Partook in an apple fritter and doughnut from one of our patient's bakery.
Michelle: Awesome news about Clair's leg. Your steps per day are impressive.
Cait: Good job on your HHs and walking. Glad you were successful with the suit shopping and DH was a good boy, lol. I am sure you will think of something to wear and will have a great time. Being with others is so important for us.
Waving to all!! Happy Walking!!

When I don’t eat after dinner, I get better sleep, my digestion works better and I do feel so much better the next morning. Now just need to get my brain on board with it.
I need to figure out what I’m wearing tomorrow night and buy some makeup. I almost never wear it - maybe once a year or even less, and what I have is all 20+ years old. For all I know it may be dried up!

I went out and was able to get a few items to make a decent outfit for tonight’s event. Meanwhile one of our friends who were going with us is sick - sounds like the same cold I had. I bought 4 tix as an incentive to get DH to be willing to go, but at least he’s now willing so I guess I achieved my goal. Meanwhile this am DH said he had a nightmare last night about the event - in his dream I had abandoned him, he was sitting alone, and someone told him he had to give up his seat ☹️. This is how out of practice we are at socializing, and I tend to forget that there’s a stressful aspect to it for both of us. This am I attended my weekly WW workshop - “How to hack your home—or office or car—to stay on track.” It was a fun discussion. The coach said to imagine you could have anything in the world to help you with your goals. Decide which “pillar” you’d focus on (Food, Activity, Mindset, Sleep). What would you change in your environment? What can you do in your real life to make this easier? Here’s the article: www.weightwatchers.com/us/m/cms/how-to-hack-your-home-to-stay-on-track-2024Many people said they’d have a personal chef to present them with healthy fabulous meals, and they came up with ideas to make healthier meals easier and more enjoyable. Good Morning Challengers Yesterday I did all 6 of my main HHs, ate in my 💚 zone of pts. I had 3 meals, 0 snack, used 20 pts. We walked 2.6 mi after breakfast, went to the Farmers Market and picked up lunch takeout. My “KISS” HHs (Keep it Simple and Specific) yesterday: - Do at least 10 mins of PT: N - Avoid salted snacks: 💚 - No “seconds” with snack: 💚 - No eating out of a container: 💚 - Limit phone after 9 pm: 💚 - Evening: Snack on Inspo; Read prayers, quotes, whys and goals: 💚 - FFFE (Food-Free Fasting Evenings): 💚 - JGTB (Just Go To Bed) around 10 - 11 pm: 💚 The “Monte Carlo” event was enjoyable, and I saw quite a few people I hadn’t seen in years. It’s an annual event for charities in the community I used to live in, where I raised my girls, and where DD1 is a middle school principal. DH’s neuropathy foot pain was a problem. I stayed close to DH but he said he was really OK - he got into playing blackjack. I watched him play and walked around a bit. The special shoes felt pretty good at first but not as the evening wore on. We got our pic taken and here we are, for better, for worse…. AMY - It’s great to see you. So sorry about the falling. Is there some physical therapy you can do to improve your strength and balance? Be well, and take care, for ourselves and for each other. Cait

I finally caught up on posts!
MICHELLE - Sending good wishes for your big annual work projects. Yay, Clair and you, what a team! Your dedication and Clair’s willingness makes you two poster-worthy 😍. “Relentless dedication” to the PT is the perfect description. And I love your “adding back FUN” approach. Clair’s muscle recovery is so impressive. It reminds me that I could get much better results with my osteoporosis and muscle mass loss if I followed your lead re my PT and added more resistance training. I wish we could see a pic of your “Yoga Doggy” in action! Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, you had great step totals! I don’t use a step counting device, but lately I’ve been looking at my phone occasionally and seeing my step totals, when I was out doing errands and carrying my phone, and some days I was surprised that I got 10K + steps. Of course those mostly weren’t cardio level, but it’s extremely different from the days it rained or I was sick, or I was just holed up in my home office - only 414 - 500 - 800 - 1,017 steps some of those days - I’m sure I got more than that, but I mostly wasn’t carrying the phone when I was going up and down stairs and moving around indoors.
KELLY - Too bad about the headache after the hard work day Mon, and the poor sleep Tues. Hope it’s been better since then. I think I remember you used to get migraines? Glad you could get to the WW meeting Wed. Have you tried the virtual? It really helps me. GFY with the 3 mi Mon, 2.28 mi Tues, 2 mi Wed, and 2.56 mi Thurs WATP and stroll. I figure the occasional high pts indulgence like your patient’s bakery apple fritter and donut episode is just a small part of the big picture. At least I don’t go on and on with it like I used to, thank you God. Like you said I keep telling DH that we need the social interaction - the science says so and I know it’s stimulating and he usually gets into it a bit when we finally do it. The hard part, I think, is the anxiety of anticipating and prepping to deal with interactions in a non-routine situation - and not doing it very often makes it harder to do. He considers doing grocery shopping is enough social interaction for him! At least I have this group and my other ex-WW group, I occasionally read and post on WW “Connect,” I’m active in my OA email group, I occasionally read and respond to friends on FaceBook, I have a few people I text with, and I still have my work. DH has nothing like that except me and daily texts in “Words with Friends” with his DD2.
CAROL - I hope all is going well with your CO trip.

SUNDAY! I'm baaaaaack! Sounds like you all have been busy in my absence with fun night out and fun play and fun walking! KELLY -- how is Leroy doing? Our Colorado trip was nice. For a change, we had some "alone time" with Fred's folks, his sisters & husbands, and his brother & wife. Usually, as I complained about after Christmas, it's groups of 20+! It was nice to have actual conversations with each couple We got up in the mountains, too, and although we didn't XC ski as we usually do, we got out and walked quite a little. Humble brag: my back was okay and I was able to get my heart rate up to "moderate exercise" level. We borrowed our neighbors' snowshoes but brought them back as dusty as when we started. Maybe another time! On our way home we took a break for some eagle viewing and watched a dozen or so bald eagles. Tomorrow I see the cardiologist, so wish me luck! This evening I finally got back in the pool and stretched! It felt good! 141/250 miles 60/75 stretching Stretching: 2018:141; 2019:192; 2020:182; 2021:190; 2022:195; 2023:191 Jan:19; Feb: 11/29
