Good Morning!!
I added 9.54 miles Fri- Sunday. 7 WATPs & 2.54 mile walk outdoors yesterday.
I had a nice weekend. Saturday mornings shift went quickly.
I was able to relax and read Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
Amy: Glad you posted but so sorry you are falling. Prayers for the mobility to improve.
Cait: Nice picture. Good job on your good days, you are doing well.
Yes, I use to get migraines associated with my period. Once I went through menopause the migraines stopped.
The indulging is not usually something I do when food is brought into the office. Work has been so stressful so I am sure that has a lot to do with it.
Carol: Glad you enjoyed yourself and were able to get out and walk. Good job on getting back to the pool and stretching.
Good luck with the cardiology appointment.
Leroy, is hanging in there. We see ortho Thursday afternoon.
Waving to all, Happy Walking!!
You are right socialization is good for us. My DH prefers home, too. He does go to to the Church gatherings but has been avoiding the Men's breakfast lately since someone would have to help him get his food. I am hoping he will go this Saturday.

Good Morning Challengers
Yesterday I did all 6 of my main HHs, ate in my ๐ zone of pts. I had 3 meals, 0 snack, used 26 pts. We walked 3.6 mi for our Sunday breakfast out. I did 12 mins of PT exercises before dinner ๐ฅณ. First time in almost 3 weeks.
My โKISSโ HHs (Keep it Simple and Specific) yesterday: - Do at least 10 mins of PT: ๐ - Avoid salted snacks: ๐ - No โsecondsโ with snack: ๐ - No eating out of a container: ๐ - Limit phone after 9 pm: ๐ - Evening: Snack on Inspo; Read prayers, quotes, whys and goals: ๐ - FFFE (Food-Free Fasting Evenings): ๐ - JGTB (Just Go To Bed) around 10 - 11 pm: ๐
So glad I did my PT! Iโm slightly sore, but itโs a good kind of sore. As part of my PT, for the past few years I added something I later found out are called โsplit squats.โ They help me be able to get down on the floor and get up again more easily.
Last week we missed 2 days of walking because of rain so I ended up with 12.8 miles for the week.
Recently on Mondays Iโve been overeating in the evening, not a healthy pattern. Iโm aiming for a green zone day and FFFE today.
KELLY - GFY with the 9.54 mi Fri-Sun.
CAROL - Good to see you!
Be well, and take care, for ourselves and for each other.

The husband of my friend who works on the Monte Carlo fundraiser has had issues with CHF the past year and he didnโt come with her to the event because he feels embarrassed about how slow he is now ๐. He used to come and walk with DH, and walked on his own every day. Weโre supposed to get together for lunch soon though. Heโs OK about smaller meetups. CAROL - Good to see you! Sounds like a nice trip and more enjoyable with the smaller get togethers. That what my Sis was wanting for her trip here and it was really good. GJ getting back to the pool and stretching. Excellent bragging rights for walking at elevation and getting you heart rate up in exercise zone, and no back pain. Be well, and take care, for ourselves and for each other. Cait

Good Afternoon Dimers
Yesterday I did all 6 of my main HHs, ate in my ๐ zone of pts. I had 3 meals, 0 snack, used 22 pts. We walked 2.2 mi before breakfast.
My โKISSโ HHs (Keep it Simple and Specific) yesterday: - Do at least 10 mins of PT: N - Avoid salted snacks: ๐ - No โsecondsโ with snack: ๐ - No eating out of a container: ๐ - Limit phone after 9 pm: ๐ - Evening: Snack on Inspo; Read prayers, quotes, whys and goals: ๐ - FFFE (Food-Free Fasting Evenings): ๐ - JGTB (Just Go To Bed) around 10 - 11 pm: ๐
Iโm so glad I was able to work through the impulse to have an evening snack! Junk food was calling my name, but I really wanted to step outside of the Monday night overeating habit loop that Iโd developed. To make things more difficult we won a door prize at the Gala on Sat and it included some gift certificates and a box of Girl Scout cookies, so those were on my mind. I looked up the pts and it was 3 pts for one cookie, and of course opening that door โjust a little,โ makes it likely to turn into a binge. I did my โSnack on Inspoโ a bit more and the urge passed. Iโve know this truth since I first restarted WW in Jan 2023: โAn urge is not a requirement. It will pass if I let it.โ But look how much practice it takes to live that truth in the face of food manufactured especially to switch on our dopamine and switch off our leptin hormones so weโll just eat more and more.
The split squats Iโve added to my PT are stationary - I just keep my weight on the back leg while in a front/back split position, keep my back straight, slowly going down and up over the back leg. Iโm doing 25 reps each side. It seems to help with balance, and flexibility in my low back, as well as strengthening my thighs.
KELLY - GFY with the 2.24 mi day yesterday.
Be well, and take care, for ourselves and for each other.

Steps for me Friday through today: 10,815, 12,292, 12045, 11,923, 16,380. Clair has gotten all of her PT done except for Monday because we had an epic windstorm that, among other things, blew down a couple of sections of fencing. Thanks so much for the kind words about my getting her PT done. Today I racked up so many steps since I had to get her PT done and then spent hours doing my chores. I have a habit of working on making lemonade out of lemons so I started my list of lemonade items pertaining to Clair's surgery and recovery. I notice them as I go through something like this but I want to get them down in writing since some of them are fairly impressive and it is fun for me to see that every cloud truly does have a silver lining. Hooray!!!
Cait, IMO that pic is adorable! I've hacked my life to stay OP LOL. No food ever on the counters, even looking at oranges puts me in the danger zone for some reason. Some of the WW concepts have stuck with me for many years such as not eating my red light foods.
Kelly, What does WATP mean? Great consistency with the walking!
Carol, Glad you enjoyed your trip.

Good afternoon!! Yesterday I added a 1 mile WATP and 1.23 mile walk at lunch.
Rainy day today so going to do a WATP workout shortly.
Cait: WTG on a good day. Split squats are great choice to add to your program. Good job not going overboard with the cookies. I like the thin mints and when I do purchase I put them in the freezer. That door I do not open as much so not as tempted as being in the pantry cabinet. Michelle: WATP = Walk Away the Pounds by Leslie Sansone. It is walking videos that have been around since the 90's. They still make new ones. I use to do them via VHS or DVDs but now either use the app or get online. She does not appear in a lot of the newer ones. The workouts consist of stepping in place, side steps, kicks, knee lifts, kick backs, squats with arm movements and some have uses of weights and bands. Generally 15 minutes is considered a mile as the speed you are going it would be equal to a mile if walking. Great job with your steps and continued PT sessions with Clair. It is good to write down experiences so you can see progress, miracles, healing, etc. Waving to all!! Happy Walking!! Good Morning Challengers
Yesterday I did all 6 of my main HHs, ate in my ๐ zone of pts. I had 3 meals, 0 snack, used 23 pts. We walked 2.2 mi before breakfast. I did 19 mins of PT exercises before dinner ๐ฅณ.

This am my end of month weight was 149.7, up 2.7 lbs from end of Jan. Itโs up 4.9 lbs since end of Dec. I knew it was up - I can feel it in my body. Living the consequences of all the night eating episodes. But Iโm feeling better since starting FFFE, and Iโm doing way better than the fluctuations in the past. Now if I can stick with FFFE Iโll keep feeling good and my weight will normalize. For me itโs all about the habits.
Todays my unofficial birthday - 2 days to celebrate this year! My Mom said I was born Feb 29 at 11:50 pm but the Dr wrote 12:50 am on March 1 on my birth certificate because it wasnโt right for a child not to have a birthday every year. Weโre going to walk to a highly rated vegan restaurant in the area for lunch. Weโve never tried this one.
Be well, and take care, for ourselves and for each other.

Cait, Happy Birthday today and tomorrow! And great job getting all your HH's yesterday
Kelly, 5 miles--WTG!!!
Steps for Monday 11,217 and Clair got all of her PT done. Good dog!! Today she has a therapy event at the university and already got 1/2 of her PT done. I am a daily weigher which works for me and I know it won't work for other people. Facing the scale each morning I remain relentlessly OP since I never ever want to go back to the eating life that is in my rear view mirror. End of month stats :2,516 days of daily weighing, maintaining my last and final 18.6 WL. This winter DrumrollXXX I have been consistently eating more so that I did not get that 5+ WL that I had to eat back on. I sure did not want to face packets of almond butter again!

MICHELLE - GJ Clair (and her partner ๐), getting all her PT done except the windstorm day. Focusing on your chores that day probably took a lot out of you! And GFY with all the steps and keeping your weight in check, especially through the winter! Your lemonade list is interesting - like a gratitude list, with a twist - consciously listing the bright sides of difficult experiences. Hope Clairโs therapy event at the university went well. What does that involve?
KELLY - GFY with the 2.23 mi Tues and 5 mi WATP on the rainy day Wed. Glad you got to rest and read. Iโve just been giving myself a pass on the rainy days. I should try WATP again - I used to do things like that but I didnโt enjoy them, and stepping in place aggravates my foot Mortonโs neuroma. One day a year or so ago I walked around in the house up and down the stairs while listening to a podcast and that was OK. Iโm spoiled with nice outdoor walking weather year around. Hope Leroyโs ortho appt went well.
