My prayer and meditation at meals and in the evening really help me keep “following the program.” It’s a 4 times a day reminder that I’ve committed to this. Otherwise I forget and wander. That’s on my “At least” list: “At least do ____.” Trying to put the min 10 mins PT on my “At least” list also.
Be well, and take care, for ourselves and for each other.

WEDNESDAY!
Wow, I've been MIA again. Rats! To catch up, I had a quiet weekend (read: no exercise), rehab Monday and today, and lap swimming yesterday. I wanted to swim outdoors, but it was a little chilly and no one else was outside. I am a confident swimmer, but I just don't think that's safe. A man died in the other pool last spring because there was no one to call 9-1-1 or even the front desk.
Sounds like everyone is doing well. Happy Anniversary CAIT, happy weight loss AMY, and happy nice days KELLY!

Good Morning!!
I walked 2.3 on Tuesday and 2.56 on Wednesday.
I met with the staff I would be working with if I get the new position. There is another meeting with another candidate late next week so I probably will not know anything until the following week.
Cait: Good job on your good days.
Carol: A quiet weekend is nice. Good job on your rehab and lap swimming. I don't blame you for not swimming alone. Definitely not safe.
Waving to all!! Happy Walking!!

Good Morning!!
I added a 2 mile WATP yesterday.
It was a sad day as we had to put Olaf to sleep last night. He suddenly lost some weight and just was not acting like himself. Most likely kidney cancer based on his blood work and palpation his kidney was painful to touch and enlarged. He was such a good cat. We will miss him greatly.
Next Friday I will get a heart monitor placed just to check my heart to make sure nothing is wrong with the heart rate. Most likely my symptoms are from the Graves but my family history is not the best.
Cait: WTG on your HHs, miles, and your PT/ST.
Waving to all!! Happy Walking!!

Good Morning, Challengers Yesterday Fri I did all 6 of my main HHs, ate in my 💚 zone of pts. I had 3 meals, 0 snack, used 23 pts. We walked 2.2 mi before breakfast. I did 14 mins of PT/ST before dinner 🥳. My “KISS” HHs (Keep it Simple and Specific) for yesterday: - Do at least 10 mins of PT/ST: 💚 - Avoid salted snacks: 💚 - No “seconds” with snack: 💚 - No eating out of a container: 💚 - Limit phone after 9 pm: 💚 - Evening: “Snack on Inspo”; Read prayers, quotes, whys and goals: 💚 - FFFE (Food-Free Fasting Evenings): 💚 - JGTB (Just Go To Bed) around 10 - 11 pm: 💚 Work day at the office and also a late afternoon appt away from office. I got home a little before dinner time and made time to do “At least” some PT/ST 🎉. I have 3 days so far this week and I’m aiming for 5. Another of DH’s childhood friends is in the hospital - this one he’s known since kindergarten and he also turned out to be a cousin. He has diverticulitis and apparently it burst through in his gut, but he must be recovering OK because he wrote the email about it. I think DH is getting the picture that our healthy eating efforts are beneficial…… This am I attended my weekly virtual WW workshop - “How to build a tracking routine.”[/b] One member talked about how she “bundles” tracking with other things she does routinely. I eat a lot of the same meals so it’s easy to track them in the app - they are “saved” in the “My food” list and I have them marked as “favorites,” but I also track on paper because it’s a different level of awareness for me. The coach and several members commented that trying to track ”perfectly” gets in the way - the point is to be consistent. The rest you just do the best you can. www.weightwatchers.com/us/m/cms/build-a-tracking-routine“People who track more often lose more weight. Why? Tracking makes you aware of what and how much you’re eating, and awareness is key to making small but meaningful changes.”CAROL - GJ with the rehab Mon & Wed, and lap swimming Tues. Wow re the man who died swimming alone. My cousin died doing that also. KELLY - GFY with the 6.67 mi Fri-Sun, 2 mi WATP Mon, 2.3 Tues, 2.46 mi Wed, 2 mi Thurs. The heart monitor will be interesting data. So sorry about losing Olaf. Hope all works out for the best with the health coach position. 🤗🙏 Did your ex’s cardio surgery go ok? Be well, and take care, for ourselves and for each other. Cait

SATURDAY!
KELLY -- Good job with the walks! I'm sorry about Olaf; it's always tough to lose a pet. {{{hugs}}} Fingers crossed for the health coaching position! Good luck, too, with the heart monitor. I'll be interested to learn what it shows!
CAIT -- Good work with your HHs and being more consistent (yet realistic) with your PT/ST. Sorry about your DH's lifelong friend. Yes, getting older is not always (or even often) fun.
Our annual block party is tonight, at our house, but I think it will be short and sweet. It's super hot again, and several families have sent their regrets.
Thursday I went to a water class and stretched, and yesterday (Friday), I went to rehab. I only have 9 more sessions to go until I "graduate" AGAIN!!! Arggh! Hopefully it's the last time!

Good Morning, Challengers Yesterday Sat I did all 6 of my main HHs, ate in my 💚 zone of pts. I had 3 meals, 0 snack, used 27 pts. We walked 2.8 mi after breakfast, stopped at the Farmers Market, and picked up lunch takeout. I did 13 mins of PT/ST before dinner 🥳. My “KISS” HHs (Keep it Simple and Specific) for yesterday: - Do at least 10 mins of PT/ST: 💚 - Avoid salted snacks: 💚 - No “seconds” with snack: 💚 - No eating out of a container: 💚 - Limit phone after 9 pm: 💚 - Evening: “Snack on Inspo”; Read prayers, quotes, whys and goals: 💚 - FFFE (Food-Free Fasting Evenings): 💚 - JGTB (Just Go To Bed) around 10 - 11 pm: 💚 We had a nice day, I sat outside after our walk and we had lunch and dinner out on the patio. I tried shopping online for a replacement outdoor dining set - ours is about 8 yrs old and the plastic “wicker” is breaking. We’re down to two chairs. Couldn’t figure out what to get. 🤷🏻♀️ Found out DD1’s DH has Covid. We were hoping to see them this weekend. 🙁 CAROL - GFY with the Thurs water. Lass and stretching and Fri rehab. Too bad about the heat affecting your block party 🥵. Yes I’m glad I’m getting some better consistency with PT/ST. I liked this I found on IG - it’s by a 75 yr old who posts inspiring exercise pics and videos: Be well, and take care, for ourselves and for each other. Cait

SUNDAY!
CAIT -- those words from the 75 yo are worth remembering. I have to be a little careful, though, not to take too much advantage of those maxims. Sorry about your SIL's Covid. It's going around again, but I read there is/will be a new vaccine soon. Good luck with your online shopping; we've had good luck with Wayfair and ordering/picking up at Lowe's. The biggest piece of advice I can offer is to "measure twice, order once!"
Our block party actually turned out okay! Even though it was last minute and 98 degrees, we had about 15 people, not counting a couple of young families that just stopped a few minutes to say "hi." Our yard is in the middle of the block, flat, 100% shaded, and there was even a little breeze. It was fun to catch up with everyone!
I went to water class this afternoon and stretched.

KELLY -- Good job with almost 5 miles Friday & Saturday. I'll bet you enjoyed your DOR!
