Celeste - is he giving you generic Crestor or the real stuff. I have been taking it for years, in fact the only one I can take. I tried th generic and had problems, so got pre-authorized for the real stuff.

CONNIE, I have zero fond memories of Christmas as a kid. If my mom stayed sober and/or my dad didn't have a huge fight with her so that one or the other would just take off for a few days, then it was a good Christmas. One of my favorite Christmases was my mother was going to make a huge prime rib. So she was going to put it in the oven at about 2PM. But forgot to defrost it so we had fast food (Burger King was open). Yeah.... I got a million of 'em.
LOUISE I'm not sure b/c he mentioned both Crestor and rosuvastatin so not sure which. Probably generic b/c Medicare will probably insist on that at least initially. What problems should I be looking for? I've been on Zocor (simvastatin) and Vytorin (simvastatin and ezetimibe/Zetia) 2 in 1 for decades. I think it contributes to my hair loss, memory issues, and gut issues. Maybe not the entire or main cause but contributes which is why I want off it.
AM: 1 coffee w/ almond milk Meal 1: shrimp cocktail and 2 cups bone broth Meal 2: sauteed spinach, steak, 1/2 baked potato w/ butter.

Still here. Had my observation on Wed. Think it went well. Just busy as ususal. Autumn went to a concert tonight with friends to see Casting Crowns (Christian band). I've got to stay up to go get her around 9:00. It'll be a late night. Reading to catch up. Hope y'all get to feeling better soon. I'm also dealing with allergies.
Celeste, a year or so ago, the dr put me on some type of antibiotic for my gut. It worked. But sounds like you got more stuff going on as well.
Waves to all. Need to pull together our lunches for tomorrow. Night all.

Lunch was Wednesday Angie. It was okay.I don't think I would go back again.5.7 is a very good A1C. The glucose is high but mine averages 5.8 every year after starting out at 7.6 five years ago.I got rid of my diabetes with diet and exercise after being on meds for 5 years. My mom was borderline but I had type II.
I'm glad you had a better night Celeste. Please take care of yourself. My NP said as long as your A1C is 6 or under it's okay.BS is high though on both of you.Crestor gave me leg cramps. The only one that worked for me was generic Lipitor. Speaking of Walmart every time I go I think of you when I see the Beatnik Paleo dinners.I can only have water before my labs.I need to go to your doctor.
Are we staying with this challenge or starting a new one?

LOUISE I'll watch out for that. Simvastatin hasn't caused me any muscle pain, nor did generic lipitor, but I'll be on guard.
STEPH since this particular abx is specific to the gut so I'd tend to think this is the same stuff. Xifaxan or Zifaxan (rifaximin). They've tried flagyl several times but it didn't work. Apparently the Xifaxan is expensive and wasn't covered by Medicare but I think my GI doc got a pre-authorization b/c there is SOME kind of RX available at Walgreens. I'll pick it up tomorrow. Even my Internist, when I mentioned a non-absorbable abx for my IBS knew immediately what it was and said "That's a very expensive drug." Yeah... but if it works..." It's for IBS and small bowel bacterial overgrowth. The fact that as soon as I eat, my stomach and small intestine bloats and makes awful noises would seem like it's indicated. GREAT to hear it helped w/ you. I remember you going thru that stuff.
BECKY I remember when you still had Diabetes. That's so wonderful and remarkable that you got past it by HARD DANG WORK. Funny, today in WM I was looking at those Paleo dinners! But if I thought PALEO was hard... OMG this low FODMAP thing is going to kill me. I can't tell you how many times the past 2 days I've started to chop onions or garlic. And apparently they're really bad. OTOH there's lots of conflicting info out there. Green beans are bad
Fodmap, green beans are OK for fodmap, you can only have 12 green beans on fodmap (I'm not making that up). Takes some getting used to, I tell ya. And in all my 65 (66 on Monday) years, I've never heard that you could have 1 cup of black coffee before fasting labs. Trust me, I'm going to call and verify before my next appointment.
We had a flat iron steak. That's so GOOD. So much cheaper and even tastier than a filet mignon but almost as tender. Bob loved it. I had a TINY baked potato but am not supposed to eat the skin (only my favorite part).
