BECKY you're so right that it COULD be easy to abuse 0 point foods b/c they do have calories. My leader said "Can you eat 8 eggs and have it still be 0 points? YES you can. SHOULD you eat 8 eggs? What do you think? OF COURSE NOT." I always would shake my head at this one gal who couldn't seem to lose on several WW programs b/c for instance, she would eat 4 oranges at a time. And smoothies w/a bushel of fruit. Now I don't think many people got fat on chicken and turkey breast, so I'm not as concerned about that. But bowlfuls of chicken chili w/ cans and cans of beans? And only counting the cheese that is heaped on top? That would concern me b/c it defies common sense. However I hope I CAN eventually eat onions, garlic and beans b/c I think this form of WW would work well for me. Unfortunately garlic, onions and beans are #1,2 and 3 on FODMAP concentrations so I'm not all that hopeful but we'll see. I also know that no matter what diet I'm on other than strict calorie counting? I can gain weight on the diet.
SANDY sorry about Dale's wrist. I recall when his shoulder issues curtailed his sharp shooting. Hope the wrist thing doesn't mess up his golf game, which I could see happening.
AM: 3 coffees w/ coconut cream and stevia Meal 1: 2 eggs, 3 center cut bacon, 1 GF toast w/ 1tsp butter. Meal 2: chicken w/ low FODMAP salsa in the slow cooker served w/: 4 small thin corn tortillas, lettuce and cheese. Bob loved it but wasn't very hungry. BEDTIME SNACK WILL BE: 2 gluten free toasts w/ butter.
I'm very low on fiber and veggies so I think I'll take miralax and tomorrow try to incorporate some flax seed. I've come to the conclusion that even slight constipation is agony for me.
OK folks. off to get ready for bed. I need my shower and my snack. Sleep well all.

All the zero point foods is just making the new program a lot more like Core, which I loved. You ate from the list and counted points for non-list items and tried to eat according to your hunger signals.....which is what kept you from eating 8 eggs or cans and cans of beans (in theory). If I can actually COMMIT to not eating crap, I think it will be an easy diet to follow. I'm trying to get there. But it has always been true with the folks on this board that following whatever works for YOU is what you should do. I'm thinking this new plan might be it for me.
CELESTE- I would have been worried about Bob's appointment taking so long, too. Annoying when they don't call to let you know they are going to be late.
Oddly, I've been getting decent sleep so I think the brain fog is hormonal. I mean, I'm getting to that age where it may be the start of something menopausal in nature. Yikes. π¬

Woke up several times with leg cramps. Soon as I woke up I went and cked my Crestor, itβs stamped so not generic.
Our leader said zero point foods are foods that you donβt usually pig out on. The lady who made fruit smoothies, combining all that fruit adds points.
Like Connie, Iβm going to like this freestyle.

Good Morningβ¦the world is looking a little brighter today after a good nightβs sleep (and a dog that stayed home ). I left work about Β½ hour early, dropped off a huge pile of cardboard/boxes at the recycle center on campus and came home. I scootered around the yard checking the fence, and then played βfetch and runβ with Lulu for a good while. She was happy with that and I just love to see her running full out in the yard enjoying herself. Iβm pretty convinced the great escape was a fluke and she went through the fence inadvertently chasing a rabbit. After an early shower, a couple of recorded shows and a little chow, I was ready to hit the sack early. My foot is bugging me β Iβm sure only because of the burning/irritation from the medication. CELESTE thatβs quite a list of potential complications from Keytruda, and even the βcommonβ side effects donβt sound good. When they say βnot all the possible side effectsβ - what else can there be? My best for Bob. When are you leaving for MO? As for me and the new program, my focus will be to watch portions, even if zero point foods. On that note, I had a turkey breast in the freezer and took it out to roast β it will make good snacks on the go (and I wanted to get it out of the freezer). I donβt miss fruit and donβt need the extra sugar/carbs, so Iβm good without it for the most part. I do like pineapple in some dishes, but I see that zero YAY. Iβm not saying I will stick to a portion of Β½ cup beans, but I will watch the portion even though zero points. The extra carbs donβt do well for me. SANDY thatβs a bummer for Dale. Hopefully itβs the cold right now and will not impede his golfing when it warms up. As active as he is I know it must be frustrating for him. And so true on how much better you/I feel when I eat right. It takes a bit to jump start, but when Iβm there, I feel good. CONNIE spot on! I also need to commit to not eating the crappy stuff. Ugh on the hormonal brain fog. Been there big time. LOL LOUISE I can pig out on anything if itβs good and a trigger for me. For some reason I thought potatoes were on the 0 list, but it doesnβt look it. Which is good for me. Have a great weekend ANGIE. And have a wonderful time with Rick today. Congratulations! Waving to STEPH and BECKY. Enjoy the day all! BBL

CONNIE this is a bit more like CORE and if I can get to the points that I can eat beans, (lots of fiber and satisfaction for me in beans and lentils) I think I'll do fine on it. But NOTHING IMHO was as good as CORE. It was so easy and delish. I had a really good taco pie recipe, some "German meatballs", and only the best cornbread I ever put in my mouth and I don't like cornbread so much (I'm a city girl).
When Bob came back into the house it was "well my phone was almost dead". ALMOST doesn't cut it. I WOULD expect him back before 5:30 from a 12:45 appointment and if I did that to him w/ something as serious as a chemo/immune appointment, he would have been out in the car looking for me. Once I went to urgent care (pneumonia) and as i sat in the exam room a mere 2 hours later, in comes Bob! He tried to call but they asked you to turn off your phones. So he came to the urgent care! MEN π€ (and that is steam coming out of my nose not snot) My first 3 symptoms that got me on HRT: sleep issues, palpitations and fuzzy thinking.
LOUISE I'm on the generic Crestor and (knock on wood) so far so good in 3 weeks I've had no leg cramps (maybe my stomach cramps were disguising my leg cramps! π€£ And that's why they said Smoothies even w/ all 0 P foods have points. Too easy to go overboard on calories and if you have a couple of those you'd be in trouble. Too easy to gulp down with no chewing.
ANGIE have a happy hectic party and weekend.
SANDY Bob must have felt OK b/c he went to work. They said the normal side effect is fatigue which starts slowly building the 1st week or so.
SUZE I have been sleeping better (new mattress? Less stomach pain?) and it sure helps my outlook on life in general. Glad you got some sleep and I had asked Lu to please behave. I leave next Friday (22nd??) for MO and come back the 26th. I so hate the thought of traveling over the holidays, but my kids have come to me now for years so my turn I guess. And w/ their 1st Christmas w/ a brand new baby I didn't want to have them taking me to the airport on Christmas day. Have you yet decided? Are you driving up to MI? You can do without the fruit? You don't miss it? You love pineapple? Are you CELESTE? hahaha π€£
So for those of you doing this new incarnation of WW, is there a SINGLE 0 point list? With everything in 1 place? Or do we have to input everything in MY DAY? If you have it can you email me the link? there was something from the moderators that we shouldn't include copyrighted material links in our posts. TIA
I slept over 7 hours. I'm feeling very lazy. Yesterday was a draining day of worry. And I have SO many things I need to do but haven't done (box up packages for UPS deliveries). Not in the mood.

I've like fruit, but have never been a big fruit eater - apples, bananas, pineapple - all the sweet stuff. Not big on berries with the exception of strawberries occasional. I like melon, but don't buy it often at all. So although basically healthy, I am not making myself eat fruit in order to meet the food pyramid requirements.
I will not be driving to MI this time. As much as I'd like to, what if I'm still not walking more than "minimally" and something happens. I feel like I'll know more after Monday, and it may still not be too late to run up after Christmas. My brother is doing something at his house the Saturday after anyway, which would be good. We'll see. Actually, I like flying Christmas day (if you don't have all the big family stuff) - it's quiet. And sometimes late Christmas eve as well.
If I end up staying home for 10 days I'm making a list of things to do...go to movies x 5, picture project, visit everyone I know; could be a long 10 days.

Wow. All work is caught up. Cleaned out old files and junk off my computer desktop. Lysol cleaned my desk, alcohol on phone. The quiet before the storm next week. I'd say it's time to go home.
