Good to hear from you Mary and congrats on your loss.
I like Freestyle b/c it frees up points for some foods I would like to have in addition to the 0 point foods.I'm giving it a try and if I don't continue to maintain I will go either go back to original SP or do SF after awhile.

Mary.....so good to hear from you!!!! How are the kitties?
Celeste....little Rolo Mc is just adorable!!!! Lol on getting the air fryer vs a car. Your own bed will feel sooo good tonight.
Get better vibes for all of you who are ailing .... yuck
Sandy...sounds like a productive day for you.
Becky....B&B closed! Kids left around 11 this morning. Rick & I teamed up & got the place cleaned, laundry done, order restored. It was great fun to have everyone here, and very quiet tonight...but I can only keep up that hectic pace for so long.
Connie....Iβm in the same boat...just not in the game right now. But I can also relate to what SANDY said...getting older & more out of shape, not good. Really need to get it together.
We are in the deep freeze....currently -3 with -18 windchill. Tomorrow we wonβt make it into the double digits....winter in IA....bah humbug.
Taking off mid morning to go see Rickβs dad / brother & family for a couple days. Better get some packing done....and hit the hay early.
Good night ladiesπ€π€π€

Good to hear from you MARY. And I'm glad to hear that Freestyle is working for you. I also thought it was a lot like Core....which I loved. I'm trying to get with it...but not there yet. Of course, as Yoda says: "Do or Do Not. There is no Try."

Have a hair appt at 11:30 & will color it later tonight. Autumn has 2 friends coming for a sleepover. I'm going to tackle a corner & make myself feel productive today. I also need to get some school work done over the next few days.

STEPH very cute on the playing cards!
LOUISE I'm coming over!! We can cough up a lung together.
AHHHHHH Connie thx for the FB reminder. Mine is dead b/c I didn't charge it while in STL. However since I never went outside, my steps would have been nil anyway (though TONS and tons of steps... EGADS). CONNIE I think part of your problem (if it's a problem) is that you're not terribly overweight. You probably look pretty good even if not what you WANT to look like. I know I drop a few pounds and look and think "Pretty decent for an old bag" and start to eat well... whatever. So get fatter and they you'll get motivated hahahaha
SANDY it's nice that Dale is off so he can kind of brainstorm with you as you go thru all this paperwork. Hope you saw me waving at you right before I landed.
YAYYYYYYYYYYYY MARY IS BACK!!!!! Yeah it is so dang easy to gain 22 in a year and so dang hard to lose 22#. But I agree, looking at Freestyle it's 99% close to Core. So somewhere I have a notebook w/ all these GREAT CORE recipes. I need to find it. Congrats on the loss though!!! When you set your mind to it, you're a MACHINE!! LOL
I think starting Friday I'm going to add garlic back into my diet and next will be onions... though I have to say subbing leeks (green part only) for both has worked quite well. But I know when I'm on the cruise in January, avoiding garlic and onions is going to be impossible unless every lunch and dinner is a grilled chicken breast and plain veggies. Then there's the dang gluten... Oh lord which to start with. If not for the cruise I think I'd start w/ legumes.
My kids worked hard to stay w/in my FODMAP and my gut was grateful. AND we feasted. We had lasagna subbing eggplant for the noodles, tons of non garlic spices, leek tops, and for the ricotta which I cannot have, she made faux cheese w/ blenderized walnuts and sunflower seeds and it was AMAZE-BALLS. Then a massive prime rib at Christmas, I made chicken tortilla soup for 1 dinner, and my son made coffee rubbed pork tenderloin. Bkfsts were either bacon, eggs and GF toast or a delish salmon egg bake. Lunches tended to be fruit and cheese and a salad. Or a sandwich and left over soup. All in all we ate EXTREMLY WELL... and according to my scales I lost half a pound!! Today was WW official weigh in but I'm too sick to go sit there and infect people.

MARY thx for the recipe. I'm on this weird low FODMAP diet per my GI specialist (lots of gut issues lately). So oddly I can't have honey but can have maple syrup so I'm going to sub. Cuz I am hacking away.
EGADS ANGIE!! that temp is WICKED. Is it as dry there as it is in STL? I was constantly getting shocked and my lips are a dry cracking mess. Safe trip to see "Dad".
CONNIE I have to agree w/ Yoda. And I need to remind myself that I agree with him. I personally have always had issues with the concept of TRY. Just do it. Or not.
LOUISE OH YUMMO on a pot pie and EXACTLY on the sous vide. My son and DDIL are HUGE foodies and HUGE meat eaters being Paleo so it's right up their alley. I have to say that it was probably the best prime rib I'd ever eaten. Grass fed and perfectly rare throughout. Lovely seared crust. I had a LOT of it. But even though they're not huge items, do I need another gadget? I only use my IP as a crock pot, which I didn't need.
STEPH this is a good "lazy day". I didn't even get out of my jammies until noon. My hair looks a wreck. I'll shower and spruce up later.
Though I realize I DO need to get out and get some food for tonight. Maybe chili. I've ordered some grass fed stew beef for later in the week, and I'll pick it up Friday. Good to be back in the saddle again.

Good Morning everyone.
I woke up this afternoon and decided that I'm going to take some positive steps towards reaching my goal. Towards that end, I put on my workout gear and got on the treadmill. I always forget how much I enjoy my treadmill. It's so nice not to have to go out to a gym or even get out in the cold weather.
Ive also decided to start drinking water again. That is a simple change that seems to make a big difference. And I will try to plan my meals ahead of time rather than flying by the seat of my pants.
CELESTE- I think I may have been happy with where I was 10 pounds ago, but not so much now. The month of December has been a disaster for me and I'm ready to do something about it.
Remember, ladies, our 45 day challenge is up Dec. 31. I'm thinking we should do a $20 ninety day challenge after that. It would end at the end of March. Any interest?

SANDY I got a lovely ham at WM w/ brown sugar (I can have that). Looking forward to it. Also I went and got some Theraflu for night time. I feel AWFUL. I was in the WM and felt like I was walking in a dream. Almost light headed.
CONNIE i fully endorse your start toward health. I mean NONE of us can control the scale but we CAN control our behavior and hope the scale follows our lead. Which is why I'm such a monumental failure at specific weight loss goals as far as how many pounds. OTOH you will never see/hear/read the words "enjoy" and "treadmill" in the same sentence out of me.
Oh.... does anyone have any idea where we can find our starting weight? I know I DID lose (not enough to be in the running but at first I was gaining). I didn't write mine down. OH WAIT... I do remember. It's the starting weight for me for WW. So I guess I'm about 5 lb down which is OK as I started going up when I went on FODMAP. But that's since December 6, so I guess there's a better record out there somewhere. Anyone know when we started? I'll try and find it.

Well, didn't make it to the stack to get it cleared out. It'll be there tomorrow. Z has been out all day at the GF's. A has 2 friends over and the laughter and giggles makes me smile.
Mary, good to "see" you. I just rejoined WW & will be jumping back onboard.
Connie, that's a good place to start. I've been pushing the water today. I want to try and cut out the Dt Mt Dew. It's going to be hard, but I know it'll help with all the sodium. I've also made a plan to get back on the treadmill. Now that I don't have to take Z to swim practice, I'll have about 45 min some mornings to walk. I'll take advantage of that when they go back to school.
Celeste, I LOVE the one pic of R where he has that huge grin and that little bald head. He's so precious.
Waves to Suze, Louise, Becky, Sandy, Angie.
Last of the leftovers have been eaten. Kitchen closed. I'll make a grocery list tomorrow and hit the store on Friday. Unfortunately, I go back to work on Tuesday. Well, since I've not been productive all day, I'm going to keep it going and continue to be lazy. Don't have too many days like that. Night all.
