My FB said I got 8 hrs 15 min of sleep, but I seriously doubt that. I was awake several times during the day. Got my best sleep from 3:30pm to 5:30pm. Oh, did I mention I'm supposed to get up at 3:30pm? Can't believe I fell back asleep! Missed my treadmill time and time to dog walk. But I needed the sleep more. Have congestion and drainage. I seem to be allergic to my workplace. There is so much dust there! Blowing thru the heating ducts.
I'm feeling very groggy and sluggish still. Not looking forward to that 12 hour shift at work.
Sounds like most of us are struggling right now. I read a good article on MFP about the stages of our motivation. I'll see if there is a way I can share it.

BECKY, Nom Nom Paleo calls it Mexican Beef but you can add whatever you want if you have other things in your guisada. It can also be made w/ the same EXACT ingredients in the slow cooker. I think I added a while bell pepper chopped fairly large (not diced). nomnompaleo.com/post/76137606724/pressure-cooker-mexican-beefUse soy instead of fish sauce, and that's the only non Paleo change). SANDY isn't it unbelievable how tender the beef gets and how the flavors meld so well? UGH CONNIE another addition to the infirmary. it's getting crowded in this sick bed. I'm actually really motivated and jazzed to start. I've got this damn FODMAP thing that's messing me up w/ such limited F&V's and no legumes. I mean no broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, brussels sprouts, broccolini, asparagus, onions and peppers!!!!!! And that happens to be a list of my favorite veggies. Tonight I had a baked him. I had NO idea I bought a spiral ham. I HATE them b/c they're always dry IMHO. I baked it all wrapped up in foil to keep the moisture in. It was "meh". Hopefully it sill make better soup or something (though there's a crying need for beans). I'd say a sandwich but the GF bread is so incredibly dry I'd have to use half cup of mayo per half sandwich!! LOL And it totally did NOT satisfy my craving for ham.

Yep, CELESTE, you've got my mo pegged. And yes, I probably can do some upper body & core, now that I can get around better. I'm feeling a little chest congestion/tightness coming on. Pass the Vicks please so I can avoid the crud. Thx for the suggestion-I have salmon in the pantry and always like a salmon patty...I'll make some next week.
CONNIE feel better. Time for sleep, tired and sore.

Hello Ladies, This is Terry from El Paso. I used to post on this board. May I join you again? It has been a crazy year for me. I lost 17 pounds at the beginning of the year. Felt good and confident I could lose more. Then at the end of May my Dad fell and had a compression fracture. My crazy step-mother demanded that I had to go to Louisiana to take care of him because she couldn't. She had had knee surgery and wasn't following Doctor's orders and having problems. She is a mental case also. So all summer I flew back and forth between home and there. Of course with the stress and all my eating was awful. I gained back what I had lost and more. My DH Pete retired in June and we had planned to travel and spend more time at our condo in Angel Fire, NM. Well that didn't happen. He was real supportive of me but it did cause some tension. Dad is doing fine now and we are finally spending more time in New Mexico. In fact we came up mid December and will be here till New Years Eve. Being a small village and limited restaurants I always try to plan meals to cook. Sometimes it works sometimes not. Anyway I know I need to get back on plan. I have maintained my online membership but haven't been good about tracking. Plan to go to some meetings when I get home. That is part of the problem that we are in and out of town so much to try to attend meetings. I hope that if I can at least go to a few I can get into the new program and continue it when we are up here. Weather here in Northern New Mexico has been crazy this year--no snow. The only snow on the mountain is mostly man made. I guess people have still come as planned because the village is packed. This summer was also difficult for me because I lost 2 of my cats. Cammie was 17 1/2. She had developed some problems and we had to put her to sleep. Then my boy Simba got sick. They said it was a bladder blockage. He was doing good and was to come home and that morning when they went in he was having trouble breathing. They tried to revive him but couldn't. He was only 7 years old. So now I have the two boys George and Bonkers. I had a great guy that takes care of them when I am gone. He is a Vet Tech from my Vet. He even goes over in the evening and sits and plays with them. I went back and read some of the post on this thread. It sounds like everyone has been busy. Sandy sorry about your Mom. Hope everyone who has been sick gets better. Suze hope your foot heals. Seems you have had a hard time with it. Mary, good to hear from you. Well, this is long enough. Hi to all and I hope to get to know all of you again.

Thanks for the link Celeste. I'm looking for something to cook in the IP. I first thought about beans but I have never used a pressure cooker and not sure about a good recipe for that either.
Connie feel better soon.

TERRY!! Once in a very blue moon I see you on FB. I'm not very regular on there. Anyway. Sorry about your kitties. I lost my whippet Petey earlier this year and I'm still not "over it." And egads on the elder care. Hard enough to take care of a child, but when the child is your parent....Good luck to you.
BECKY I like the way SANDY did the guisada and after it was cooked added a can of sliced potatoes. I always forget to use canned potatoes. Or canned anything except tomato products.
I slept poorly even though I had taken an entire klonipin. So tonight back to plain old OTC unisom. I've been very thirsty today too. probably this dang coughing and mouth breathing. Yesterday I turned the corner, and today I turned back so hard and then some. I'm a sick-o. Night all.

Quick wave before heading to bed... got in town around 6:30, went to prayer service for family friend, then home & unpacked.
Get well vibes for all of you who are still under the weather.
Hi, Terry! Good to hear from you!
Calling it a night....will catch up tomorrow.

Made a "Spicy Chicken Chili" recipe from Drizzle Me Skinny that is 0 SP Celeste, I don't think you can eat it because it has cooked onions and 3 different cooked peppers along with garlic, but it makes a LOT of chili (use a 6 qt) Crock Pot or Instant Pot - kept half and gave my neighbors the other half
Found a new soup recipe on FB that was posted on one of the WW pages I like. It is from paleohacks and is called "Crockpot Chicken and Cauliflower Rice Soup" Has chicken breasts, bay leaves, chopped carrots, chopped celery, vegetable broth, salt, pepper, turmeric, raw cauliflower uncooked and riced I bought everything I don't have today and plan to make it tomorrow - requires 6 hours in CP/slow cooker Was thinking about adding a chopped onion too
There was another recipe that I made with white beans and I used HEB rotisserie chicken that was really good. Think I will send you 2 of the recipes by email. I have not converted the one with cauliflower rice to a file that can be emailed at this time.
Have a good night and stay warm!

Welcome back, Terry. I also lost 17 pounds by July this year and managed to put it all back on. Most of it since October. Holiday eating totally did me in. I'm trying to get my act together. I think it will be somewhat easier now that the holidays are behind us. Amazing how quickly we can undo our progress.
We have been really busy tonight at work. Need to get back to it.

Mary....thanks for recipes! We are still working on leftovers here .... ham & turkey...but will be ready to try some new things once we get them.
Went to bed early, woke up only once....feel ready to take on the day. We will go to the funeral this morning....longtime church friend. He was 97, a WW2 vet who was shot down but survived. We would take him tomatoes & salsa in the summer & enjoyed visiting with him. The past few months were hard for him health wise, and he was ready to go....but it is still sad for his family.
Will probably start taking down a few decorations this afternoon....but no hurry as I like to enjoy them for a bit since preChristmas was too hectic to do so.
