Happy New Year Ladies!! I am a long lost WW lifer......been so long that I was at goal, I don't remember when it was but do remember how great I felt. I intend to make 2018 my year again! I would like to join your thread and set some goals.
Goals for January: 1) drop 9 pounds (current weight is 198.6) 2) get 5500+ steps 5 out of 7 days a week 3) join WW again and begin Freestyle 4) increase my fruit and veggies to 2 of each a day
I have fallen so far from my former good eating habits, that every time I eat lately, I feel crappy. Need to get serious as I'm not getting any younger. I hope to become a regular loser here during 2018.

WELCOME JT!! Good to have some fresh blood. As well as some "returning blood." Several of our posters have been to goal and have had um.... well they'll get there again as will you. B/c you know how to do it. Please stick around and get to know us and let us get to know you. This is a really supportive group. Several of our gals are just now returning to the fold after being away for quite a while, and we're all starting to get our "stuff" together.
I hope all of you have a great start to 2018. Since I'm sick as a dog and lost my crown on top of that, this year is ending w/ a dang whimper. But... 2018 WILL BE BETTER. I DECREE!!!!! (and you know how much influence I have with the powers that be).
See y'all tomorrow. Sleep well.
OK so I guess I'll post some goals which I'll borrow from Mary and JT. I used to always get in 10K plus steps but lately not even half that soooooooooooo Get 5K steps in w/ 1 "free day" per week (gonna be hard since I'm not going outside until it warms up on Wednesday). Since I'm on that dang FODMAP diet, my food goal at this point is to keep adding elminated foods every 3 days. Tuesday I'm adding onions. Friday maybe I'll add some legumes and if I can do that I can start on Freestyle.
So good night. God bless. Have a great start to a new year.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!
Welcome, JT. Looking forward to getting to know you. I'm the baby of the group, about to turn 48 in a few weeks. I've been married to DH 30 years coming up in July 2018, yes we were young. We have 2 kids. The boy just turned 18 and a SR and my girl is 13 in 8th grade. Both are swimmers. I am a teacher, so I don't post too much during the week. Although, DS just got a car as well, so I'm really hoping that's going to give some relief with the mom taxi. Originally from MS but moved to TX 20 yrs ago.
Celeste, I've been slowly following the new plan. I still have some leftover snacks that are not WW friendly that I refuse to let go. I bet when I get my butt on that treadmill and start walking, I should shed inches soon. That's what I need in my thighs & stomach. I have a plan.
I keep seeing posts on FB where it's snowing in the area. I am not going out to find out. After picking up A's friend, I dropped them at home & went to the store by myself. It was crazy. I kept thinking it was due to NYs, but it had to be people stocking up on food/water. I'm going to bake a banana cake tomorrow and we'll have our black eye peas & cabbage. I think I have pork chops to go with everything. I'll get the chicken chili ready to go in the crockpot for Tues. I'll put it on low. Oh, I ended up getting turkey b/c I couldn't find ground chicken. Do you have to ask for it? They had everything else ground...but no ground chicken. It should still be good.
I probably put in 4.5 hrs on school work. Not sure if I've mentioned, but I have 25 girls in my BPA group this year. There are NO AISD middle schools as competition for my girls this year. I have not told them, but they are all going straight to the State Leadership Conference. We're going to have a small competition at the school in 3 weeks where a few of the teachers will judge them to give feedback. Out of the 25, only 4 have gone to State and 3 went to Nationals last year. All of these kids are new to it and have no clue the level they'll be against. Anyway, then I worked on the first page of the yearbook. That took over an hr, but it's done. I'll get some of the girls to start working on the other pages when we get back and settled. So, obviously, I'm slowly starting to get back into the teacher brain. I would like to get a few more things finished up tomorrow, but if I don't not going to worry about it.
Z & gf went out to a friend's house here in our neighborhood. Got a text around 9:30 asking if they could come home and watch tv. Of course, I'd rather have them here than out. So, they've been downstairs for awhile watching something not in English. A & her friend are in her room where I keep hearing giggles.
OK, ladies. I'm out. Y'all have a great night.

Happy New Year π
Just got home....fun night with friends. Great dinner....smoked brisket, twice baked potatoes, tossed salad, & scalloped corn. Their daughter / our god daughter & family weβre still home, so great to visit with the, too. Played cards & actually made it past midnight in our time zone. We have been known to call it good once the ball drops in Time Square.
And we are in the deep freeze here .... -23 / windchill of -38. I do not plan to leave the house until we are above zero at least!

Happy New Year and welcome JT.
At the airport waiting to fly back to DFW.
Thinking of my Jan goals and will post later. I'll also have starting weight posted tomorrow. Im working on walking more, but its hard'to make a step goal until the boot comes off, which i think will be soon... the small open area of the incision looks to me like is healing quickly at this point. YAY! Then to get that foot rolling correctly... i will get back to the gym though.
Everyone have a blessed day 1 of 2018! Bbl

Good morning,
Stayed up way too late waiting for the gf to leave. I had to finally text the boy and tell him she had to go. They would have sat downstairs all night. I was concerned about her getting home due to icy roads, but she made it. She only lives about 15 min away. So, I didn't get out of bed until 10:00. Not sure what I'll do today. I have to take A's friend home later today.
Off to finish waking up.

Connie....for the record, I ended up with a net loss of 4# for our challenge...181.6.
Hereβs my dilemma: we leave for vacation in 3 weeks, & will be gone almost a month, during which time I will not be following any DIET plan. Not that I plan to go hog wild, but I do plan to enjoy meals, snacks, & beverages. So....much as I would like to jump on the freestyle program, iβm not sure it makes much sense to do so from a cost perspective. I think I am better off just doing the best I can these next 3 weeks & re-evaluate after the trip. Just putting that in writing helps ... it makes sense to me to do it this way...so that will be my plan.
Would like to get out of the house & walk today but too cold...need to get some stamina built up again.
Liking the FB Alta HR....lots more bells & whistles than my old flex. However, it is not syncing as I expect it to....need to play with it a little & get that straightened out.
Picking away at undecorating....not too exciting. Will watch football later no doubt.
Enjoy the day!

STEPH they usually have ground chicken but it's MUCH easier to find ground turkey and in a chili you can't really taste the difference. I can't.
ANGIE we were in the negative numbers this AM w/ the windchill. Remember... this is freaking Texas. On my FBook page I have a photo of one of the smaller entrances to Frisco Lakes. Frozen solid. And I love to play cards.... any kind of games actually.
SANDY how far is the farm from your home? I am guessing you're keeping it rather than selling? Any chance you'd move in there?
We had some MORE left over ham and grilled cheese sandwiches for brunch. I'll start my sous vide bath in about an hour. I had a TERRIBLE night... coughing constantly. Also fireworks were going off right over the fence until 3AM. I slept for 2 hours. I now have one of those sleep deprivation headaches. Did my breathing machine first thing and I'm coughing up clear copious gunk. But CLEAR is the good part. Sore throat is finally gone so that's good. I can tell from lots of you that this thing takes a long time to go away.

Sandy....yeah on getting another corner cleaned out! I did the same in the dungeon. Got all the Christmas gift bags, boxes, bows, ribbon, etc. sorted / back to the proper shelf. Hauled up a load of trash / recycling... Santaβs elves left a few things behind π
Celeste....hope you can get the crud cleared up & your GI stable before your cruise. When do you leave? Sounds like Bob is doing ok with his chemo....and showing some positive results, too...hope it continues!
Steph....nice that you got a few things done for s hook over break...always more to do, but getting even s little done is helpful. Sounds like the kids enjoyed their NYE with friends over.
Becky...did you get rid of the ice / warm up a little? Poor Scooter trying to do her business with fireworks going off. Jazzy was the same way....so hard to get them out on those nights.
Mary ....this arctic blast is sure widespread. A shock to the system for you gals in TX. Looks like by tomorrow it should be a bit better for all.
Turkey pot pie in the oven....smells so good! Comfort food for us on this frigid night.
