SUZE glad you made the turn. Pull me around with you like we're playing WHIP on an ice rink. I'm almost there. I mean I actually WANT to do this so that's HUGE for me. Now it's a matter of the "spirit is willing but the flesh is weak."
CONNIE how did I miss SUZE 0 pt chicken/bean stew? I need to find it. OK FOUND IT!! LOL. Yeah this Freestyle should be great for filling, satisfying meals. All things I love. Protein, beans, veggies. Yeah I know you have chronic sinusitis. I have chronic bronchitis. I'm hoping this is NOT a flare up. I'm not happy w/ chronic ANYTHING dang it.
LOUISE you guys are like us in Dallas. NOT snow drivers. I think you're even less so. But personally I won't drive if there is snow or ice on the streets. I know my limitations and I'm not used to it.
TERRY I also have a CPAP. I bought one on my own for travel. It has a humidifier (I need to have that) but it's footprint is smaller b/c it's stacked. I like it a lot but I just bought it on my own. I also buy extra of everything so I only have to disinfect once a month. I'm lazy and I figure my time is worth the cost of extra masks, tubes etc. Though I DO NOT think that the masks should cost well over $100! That's nuts. Has SKinnytaste done the new points conversions on her recipes? Or have you done it? I have both her cookbooks and I'll have to go thru and pencil in the new points for my favorite recipes.
JT glad you're home safe and sound. You're a braver soul than I am, braving that kind of driving conditions. I'd be peeing in my panties! And don't you know? They aren't weather forecasters. THey're weather GUESSERS!! LOL
I had NO Idea that corn (canned) was 0!! I input it and it's 0. Did y'all know that? I misread it and thought only baby corn. If it had chicken thighs OR steak OR taters it would be about perfect.
I'm really starting to think that what I have is the flu. I went to the bank and then to Krogers and I started sweating in the store as if I were breaking a fever (as I said, I can't ever seem to "mount a fever.") The back of my hair is wet! I'm going to jump in the shower in a few. But right now I feel out of steam. And I have to get my sous vide ready for my pork tenderloin. Then I'm going to make french fries in my new air fryer. 1 tsp oil for 4 servings and they're supposed to taste and feel like real french fries, rather than kind of mealy like oven fries. I'll let y'all know.

OH WOW YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. Hungry Girl did recompute her recipe for Tuscan CHicken stew and it's 0 freestyle instead of 5 SP. I'm jazzed. Yup... today I'll figure out how to incorporate onions into my dinner so that on Friday I can try to add cannellini or pinto beans in. WOOOHOOOOO www.hungry-girl.com/recipes/tuscan-chicken-stew.pdf

Celeste I'm glad Meredith doesn't have morning sickness.I hope that is making for an easier time for her.It seems like a lot of people didn't click with regular SP but once I got it down it seems to be the best for me.When I don't track the new 0 point foods I tend to eat more so by tracking my chicken, beans and yogurt it gives me a sense of how much I am actually eating to fullness without feeling stuffed if that makes sense.
Louise stay warm.
Terry you will get there and I don't blame you for not wanting to do the TM. It hurts my knee to get on it.
Congrats on your loss Sandy.
I'm sorry you feel bad Connie.Take it easy and take care of yourself.
Angie it's good that you enjoyed the gym.You will go more often if you do.Since Curves closed I'm not much of a gym goer but it will help if you continue to eat well.
Celeste I hope you get over your coughing soon.Between that and your tummy I know it's rough.Wishing Bob good luck on his 2nd IV treatment.
Suze I am glad your foot is getting better. It has been quite awhile.
Terry we both had Aetna Medicare Advantage plan last year.Although DH didn't have to use it I did and I wasn't happy with it at all.Since we have an advantage plan we can't use Medicare for anything.I'm glad Medicare will pay for the sleep study. We changed to United Healthcare Medicare Advantage Plan and from what I have heard it is so much better. In 2 years I can get on my retirement insurance and I'm looking forward to that.I'm glad you enjoyed WA.
That is too cold for me JT.I hope you stay warm and safe.
Celeste you are right.Corn has 0 points. If you like peas it also has 0 points.
I heard on the local noon news that romaine lettuce has killed 1 person and several people are sick in 17 states I think. So I threw out my romaine. It's causing e.coli. They said it was best not to eat any until they find out exactly what is happening. It hasn't made me sick yet but I'm not taking a chance.

If on a can of corn or peas the first ingredient is sugar, it has points.

OH yeah BECKY I'm looking forward to working peas and corn into my diet. Honestly I think being off all those FODMAPS for well over a month has allowed my gut to be less inflamed. I think almost everything on the list was bothering me a month or 2 ago but now I'll really listen to my body, but I'm hopeful it won't be a big deal and either very few offenders or I'll find I can eat most things. And if you remember out of the last 3 times I had romaine, I got very sick twice w/ cramps and pain and bathroom visits. I wonder if I had ecoli or if it was the lettuce itself. It's VERY low in FODMAP but as they say, just b/c it's not on the list doesn't mean it WON'T be a problem, and just b/c it IS on a list doesn't mean it's a problem. If not on the list, it's just not one of the "usual suspects." But I've been avoiding romaine for a while now.
LOUISE thanks for that. I wasn't aware but makes sense. And I could easily "abuse" corn so I'll be careful. I think that sugar as the #1 ingredient, would mostly apply to creamed corn. I have a couple of cans of regular corn (I think one is Green Giant and one is Kroger) and they don't have sugar at all. (I just went and checked). But I'll make sure to look in the future. I HATE how so many companies put sugar and/or garlic and/or onions in PLAIN tomato sauce. I just want the SAUCE people, it's tomato sauce, not spaghetti sauce. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Bob is home from his Keytruda and so far so good. Not sure if all these possible hideous side effects happen right away but I think some of them can happen down the road. He swears that after 1 IV, one of his tumors has shrunk by 25%. Hope so.

CELESTE sounds like flu to me. My foot has definately made the turn. And, I figure like you said I should give Freestyle a good shot.
I too, will need to be careful on carbs I can go overboard with, so I'm watching portions and being mindful of how "satisfied" feels. Stew is simmering... looks good.

JT...looks pretty nasty in your part of the country. Glad you were able to get home ... most likely you will be there awhile! Stay safe & warm!
Suze....great, specific goals!! When we met with the trainer yesterday, he asked about our goals. We both said βto get in better shapeβ. Didnβt fly with him....needed to be more specific.... which was a good start as far as I was concerned. It told me he took his job seriously.
Celeste....ha ha on I must be sick if I enjoyed the gym! Amazed me too! But what I am really sick of is hauling this excess lard around. So, off we went again today....a good workout. Hope Bob does as well with this treatment as the last one.
Becky....you mean I have to watch what I eat in addition to the gym?!? Always a catch...lol
Time to find my jammies & settle into my chair under a blankie...thinking an early bedtime may be in order.

On Freestyle the good part is you don't have to eat all 23 points if you don't want to.OTOH WW doesn't recommend making a whole meal out of 0 point foods unless you run out of points then you can make a whole meal out of 0 point foods and still be within your points.Remember you can rollover up to 4 points a day for the weekend or a good meal out.I have my FP set to come out first if I go over my points so the rollover points going into my weeklies didn't do me any good.
Or as WW always says "Let your weight be your guide."
LOL Angie.Unfortunately we do have to be somewhat mindful of what we eat even if we workout.
Celeste when I first tried the FODMAP diet I wasn't able to eat blackberries.A few months ago I tried them and I had no problems but after eating them a few days I had to give them up again. So I know now there are some foods I will have to do without.I hope you will be able to add most of your foods back in your menus.

SUZE I think you could easily do low carb on Freestyle. Probably be more of a high pro low carb than high fat. But give me soups and stews and I can DO This thing. Soon. And though I guess it's "what's in a name" type of thing. I DO think I have a mild flu. They say if you get the shot and you do get the flu it shouldn't be as severe. Otherwise this is the worst cold ever (or maybe it's gone into bronchitis. If I'm not better by Monday I'll call the doctor. I need to be better by the cruise.
And ANGIE I get the excess lard crap. Enough is enough. Which is why I'm actually psyched to start "Freestylin' it". And let me paraphrase you... you mean I have to exercise as well as watch what I eat?
BECKY very interesting about the berries. Sounds like it's maybe a once in a blue moon kind of thing might work. But why test it?
So the sous vide pork tenderloin was SOOOOOOOOOOOO tender and SOOOOOOOOOOOOO moist but I'm a goofball. It's supposed to be brown sugar and coffee rubbed (w/ garlic and salt and pepper). Well I'm eating it, enjoying the texture but it tasted a bit bitter to me. DUH.... I forgot the brown sugar. So the coffee, garlic and salt just didn't cut it. Then the air fryer... I thought when I looked at them the fries needed more time. I was right. They were cooked thru but not browned or anything. And I didn't know how to add more time. I threw away my users manual apparently so need to get it online. Sheeeesh. I think I'll like it if I can get the hang of it.
