Hey Phyl! Glad you stopped in to see us! The pattern is a crochet pattern that I just made (almost done) for my granddaughter to be. It is a farily easy pattern and to me looks more difficult than it is to actually make. It used to be free on the internet and I ended up having to pay for it. Good pattern though. Gee, do not worry about making the Russian Santa claus late...I am still not finished with a baby afghan for a baby that could, possibly be born today!
Ended up last night helping Dd #2 with something, so the afghan still needs another 30 minutes to finish the edging.
Ok- enough from me. BBL G

Well Ginny, then it's your fault the baby hasn't made her appearance yet I know, not funny. I know #2 was happy to have your help last evening. You'll get the blanket done. I'm late getting here. I got a message from my friend's dd telling me she's put her mother on comfort care. she did make it there in time to be with her at the end. Now my friend has no urine output so it wont be long although she is a tough woman and God will give her the time she needs. So I havent done any crafting yet today. I sorted thru paperwork to get rid of some no longer needed. Now if I could only find my dh's birth certificate. We had found it back in August and would hate to have to get a replacement because they're expensive.I know it has to be in the house somewhere. He had to take it to get his license renewed and I don't think it's in our safe deposit box because I don't think we took it back but we may have. After that talked to my old nursing school roomate and its sad there too because she's showing signs of dementia and she also has MS and her husband is also in poor health. So now Im going to go cook then get to some crafting.

Hello Crafters Ginny - Thanks for sending the pattern to me The weather here was mild today, in the 50s, but we are supposed to get some rain/snow tomorrow and then they are saying we might get 5-8 inches of snow on Wednesday!!! Of course that was the day my roof examination by the insurance company was supposed to happen, but I called them today to reschedule to next week. Fortunately I have enough groceries that I don't need to go out, since it's looking like I might not be going anywhere this week. I'm hoping the roads are so warm that most of this snow will melt quickly. Take care everyone!

Hi CJ, I'm glad to hear that you wont have to worry about going out when the weather is bad. I'd bet you make sure your car tank is filled too. Sorry you have to put off the appraisal of the roof damage. I dont know if I said the other day or not but I dont think the age of your roof should have anything to do with repair estimate. I could be wrong.Bad thing here (and maybe everywhere) is that there is a mandatory deductible of $750 for wind and hail damage and both of those is what damages all roofs here.
Ok I got dinner cooked and pasta sauce simmering and I'll make lasagna tomorrow. Dh will be happy. He wanted me to make sausage gravy and biscuits and suggested I make the biscuits with the 2 ingredient mix. I told him that would be more like a roll than a biscuit but he said that would be fine. so I made the biscuits already and tried one and they are actually kind of between a biscuit and a roll. Despite the gluten I had one with butter and it was really good.

Busy evening for me- helping Dd #2 get ready for some interviews on Wednesday. They will probably not take place as we are in for another major snow storm.
Dd#1 is still not in labor- hoping that she can give birth and not have to deal with the snow- so either the baby comes before the snow or after. Dd is delivering a mile from our home so she just has to get here.....we will have the grandkids. I finished the afghan- washed it by hand and it is now drying. I love it and it came out well.
Phyl the name of the blanket is Cuddle Me by Kristi Simpson. You will see lots of pics of it on the internet. I loved it, easy to make and came out pretty well. I can email the directions to you if you like.
CJ- glad you will not have to go out for the next few days.
Ruth- sounds like your experiment with the 2 ingredient mix was a huge success! Did you use the same recipe as is used for the bagels? (Which is very good).
Meg, hope you can check in and say hello.
Good night ladies. G

Ginny, did you see that Meg checked in last night. I blabbed after she posted though so it may look like no one else posted after you checked last weeks board.
Yes I did use the exact recipe for the two ingredient...flour and Greek yogurt. Of course I had to add my own baking powder and salt because I dont have self rising flour but other than that it's the same. Baked at 425 for about 15 minutes and they came out beautifully brown. Probably could have used a couple more mintes though because they may have needed to be a tiny bit more baked.
And yes that sure is a beautiful blanket. I never did start one yesterday but will this evening.

DGD #2 was born last night around 11:30, 8 lbs 5 oz. She and mom are doing well. Have DGD and DGS here, who declared it a sleep over party when we got them here. We put the mattresses on the floor together so they can sleep together, which of course makes a PERFECT opportumity to jump on the mattresses! Took a while to get them both asleep. Grandma and grandpa did not get much sleep last night.
Oh dear, DGS is up. He misses his mom.... GInny

We went to see Dd and the baby 2 hours ago- the kds will be with us till late in the day, then we will hand them off to DSIL. The baby is adorable- all pink and chunky cheeked!! Dd looks great too- labor was fast and she is very glad not to be 9 months pregnant any more. Got another major snow storm heading here tomorrow, sounds like they will get Dd and the baby dicharged early in the am before the roads are bad.

Newborns are just so special.
Well the "other side" weighed in. My dd's #2 dd now saw and octopus hat online and she wants one. She and her bf really like hats. They had me make them a pokemon hat and a Nightmare before Christmas one. I'm not sure what nightmare is about but I made it.So now the others will probably chime in and tell me about things they want. I have quite a list but the hat is at least simple and relatively fast. I looked up patterns. One person wants something like $9 or was it $12...anyway a lot for a pattern. another person had the same one free...guess which one I took.
