We are walkers, joggers, bicyclists, and some do other exercise. We set goals and keep track by miles. You can set your goal for any amount, count your miles any way you wish. The goal is consistency with exercise.
We started Jan. 20, 2003 on the WW Challenge Central Board as "250 Miles by June 1" & we've done 38 five-month walking challenges, including the one we finished Jan. 1, 2018.
The group challenge is to average about 2 miles a day, 13 miles a week, or 50 miles a month; if you do it, in 5 months you will have walked 250 miles, and if you have stuck with the challenge and a healthy eating program for that 5 months, you will see wonderful changes in your health, fitness, and size!
Some people will finish well before the target date & will go for more or another 250 miles, but others will go at a slower pace, and new members will join along the way, so each member is welcome to set her/his own personal goal and target date. The new group challenge which started Jan. 1, 2018, is "250 Miles by June 1, 2018."

Good Morning Walkers!
Thanks for the new month start KELLY!
I couldn’t find the May thread, but clicked on KELLYs name and then on her “posts” and found it that way.
KELLY - I think the problem with finding the thread is that you put it under “Challenges,” and before it was under “Fitness,” but if everyone finds it, I don’t think it matters. I left a message at the end of April thread saying how to find us.
Yesterday green zone of pts, walked 3.8 miles, ate 1 serving salt/oil popcorn with evening snack, did JGTB, so I got 3 out of 4 of my HHs. The salt and oil are risky for me - they get my compulsive eating urges stimulated - I did start fantasizing about eating more snack foods, but didn’t do it, thank you God.
For April I had 15 days in my green zone of pts, got 37.8 miles of exercise. That was better than 19.1 Miles in March, and 21.5 miles in Feb.
I’m at 136.2 miles for the challenge as of yesterday, so I won’t make the 250, but for May I can do better than previous months.
This am I walked 2 miles in the neighborhood. It was heavy fog/mist when I started, but in the last 3/4 miles it turned to a downpour.
KELLY - good job with the WATP last night. I just haven’t been able to make myself exercise at night in a long time.
Waving at everyone! Have a great day!
Cait

Woo hoo! Grades are submitted and my "out of the office" automatic response is set up. Phew! Hopefully the unhappy students will forget about complaining in a couple of weeks! Happy May Day, everyone! No neighborhood kids brought me May baskets this year I guess since my next-door neighbor boy is in college now he's given it up! Debbie -- your streak is a-mazing! I am duly impressed! Kelly -- sounds like you're purring along. Did you hear about your work proposal? I haven't been keeping up Amy -- a plan is always a good thing, and it's fun to treat sometimes, too. Cait -- your lunch with your HS buddies sounds like a lot of fun! I am also impressed with your 4-mile walk! Your back must be feeling better. Catching up: Sunday, walked for 3 miles; Monday, AquaFit and walking for 3 miles; Tuesday, 3 miles walking. I also stretched yesterday and today. I slacked off just after my eye surgeries, so I need to get back at it! 298/250 45/50 stretching sessions 3748 stairs Leaving tomorrow for our "sistertrip." I'm glad my phone keeps track of my steps so I can ballpark how much walking I do. One sister has had one ankle fused and the other replaced, so her walking is obviously affected.

Good Morning!!!
Oops, so sorry I started us under the wrong thread. Thanks, Cait for giving instructions on how to find us. I had a pretty good day yesterday other than eating a small sliver of Birthday cake at work. I added 3 miles of WATP. Finally warmer weather here.
Cait: You are doing well with the activity. You had a slow start. I usually do the exercise in the am, but did not feel up to it Monday morning so had to get some miles in after work.
Carol: Great job with all the activity and getting the grades done. Yes, I got the job it is a little bit of a pay cut do to they classify in a different paygrade but should make most of it up in gas savings my cutting my commute in half or a little more. My last day at the current job is June 1st. I had to stay on for 4 weeks since the job is for the same company. I gave them an extra week so I could train everyone on what they should have known how to do all along.
Waving to all. Happy Walking!!

Good Morning!!
I had a good day yesterday. I added a 3-mile WATP. My coworker was told they do not plan on replacing me at all. Unless they have a plan to help or drastically change the responsibilities she is going to have a tough time.
Amy: I hope the simply filling plan works better for you.
Waving to all. Happy Walking!!

Good Evening Walkers!
Yesterday no exercise, green zone of pts, kept evening snack at 0 pts non-trigger foods, did JGTB.
This am 2 mi walk in the neighborhood, then work, then left work early to walk with a friend 1.2 mi along the bluff above the beach, to the Art Museum, then a glass of wine on the patio overlooking the beach, then back, and home for dinner. So far yellow zone of pts for the day. Only 2 pts above my green zone.
KELLY - GFY with the WATP.
CAROL - enjoy the sister trip! Yes my back seems better and I’m slowly adding other exercise to my walking.
AMY - hope you can get consistent with an eating plan that works for you.
Waving at everyone! Have a great day!
Cait

Good Morning!
I had a good day yesterday. I added 3 miles of WATP. My coworker told me they most likely will not replace me but that's not 100%. She said they really are hoping I change my mind. She told our direct supervisor that she may if you just give her what was promised when she started over 2 years ago. I find it funny that they just assume I will change my mind but have not really addressed my leaving other than making sure I train the people that are needed to be trained. Never hey can we talk about this.
We are having a little Cinco de Mayo potluck at work today.
Cait: Great job with the walking and only getting into the yellow zone.
Amy: Try and remember that our bodies do need some healthy fats in our diets.
Waving to all. Happy Walking!!
