hmmmmmmm SANDY. Taco quiche? I bet Bob would be all over that like white on rice.
Bunco was fun as heck but I was a monumental loser. So my streak (or 2 wins in a row... some streak) was BROKEN. And it was hotter'n HAIL in that room. We were all complaining. I still need 2K steps for my 9K so I'll be walking Neighborhood 4 in a few minutes. UGH it's so muggy.

CELESTE- I had already decided to ignore DHs requirements for the work. I mean, these people do this every day. I figured the standard job would be perfectly adequate. When I calmed down enough to tell DH that I was not going to ask the guy to alter his quote, DH said the standard job would be fine. ๐ Still waiting to hear back from the other lady for a final number, but I'm pretty sure I know who I'm going to hire.
My mom went to the orthopedist today and he took the leg brace off. She then went to physical therapy and was told they were happy with the strength in her leg and knee, but that her hips were weak and needed strengthening. She is supposed to continue using one arm crutch until her hips are stronger. She has exercises to do at home for that. Eventually, she can move down to a cane, and then to no assistance if she can regain strength. She has had bad hips for years. I always assumed she would need a hip replacement. She is pleased with the news they gave her today.
ok, I'm really sleepy. Hoping to sleep thru the night. Wish me luck.

CELESTE yes, LULU does say it all with her eyes. My last phone was/is a Galaxy S7 and i love it. I've had it 1 1/2 years and since it was way more than I said I'd EVER pay for a phone it better last for a looong time.
SANDY I'm jealous! I want to stay home and do hot, sweaty yard work! I have a bunch of little projects ready for the weekend...hang bird feeder, bird house, build block bed, trim vine sprouts, reinforce fence with staples, install security light, spray fungicide, cut/install new porch lattice..... the list goes on. Thats a Cute pic of KM.
Did a Wallys run tonight and bought bulbs for Robbie's kitchen fixtures, and I need to replace a switch on her swag light. I also got in 35m on elliptical and some crunches. My headache is back with a vengeance but I guess that's just my new normal. ๐
sleep well all.

SUZE- Is this headache sinus related? Stress? Migraine? Hope you can sleep it off.
Finished yesterday with 11,300 steps. And that was after forgetting to wear it on Shasta's walk. Although I haven't been "dieting", I have gotten in my steps. I've been following the Mediterranean diet, but yesterday had sweets (a serving of rice pudding and a bowl of frosted mini wheats). All things in moderation, right?
Have been feeling very hormonal. Slept till 4:30am and then woke and started thinking about all I need to do this week. Have GOT to color my hair. Dark roots with smatterings of silver aren't doing it for me. This morning before I go see the financial guy I want to pay bills, balance checkbook, and finalize quilting designs for the customer quilt I've been stressing over. I need to call the gal about the dive equipment I sent off to be worked on. 2 weeks ago she said she would check on it, but I never heard back from her.

SANDY- Enjoy patio time! KM is so cute in that dress.
Turned in a mound of paperwork to the financial guy and he said it will be end of June before he is ready to meet with us for his analysis. Apparently, he is a bit backlogged right now. Then I filed my paperwork at the County Courthouse for the lein release from the second mortgage. I finalized designs for that quilt. Should go up and start working on it this afternoon.
Got a call from the window lady about the siding a few minutes ago. She wanted to meet me and Joe back at the house again along with her crew foreman because she said it wasn't possible to do what we were asking. More likely, they don't WANT to do what I'm asking. So I thanked her for her time and said I just didn't wish to pursue it further. Truth is, I'm tired of dealing with her. I'll use the other company who knows what they are doing. Funny that they never once mentioned it wasn't possible!
Next on the To Do list....get hold of the dive shop.

hahaha CONNIE about DH saying the standard job was fine. That's so something my ex would have done. And I GUESS that's good news about your mom. But the weird thing is, I've asked a bunch of old ladies here ( ) who've had knee replacements, and there are PLENTY of them well into their 70's, even approaching 80, so I don't get the "too old". And no wonder you couldn't sleep w/ all those little and medium "honey do's" to mull over. I think it's best that you're going to have that window company in the rear view mirror. SUZE I like Galaxy fine, but not mine. I actually think you get a LOT more bang for your buck w/ Galaxy v Apple. But mine is a 5 (or maybe a 4) and it's acting up. But Virgin Mobile doesn't sell anything but iphones now so I was stuck as I don't get the buying of used phones and "unlocked" etc crap. Bob always buys used phones. And used cars. I think Dave Ramsey told him to! HAHAHA And uh... you know what? Memorial Day weekend is here. Why don't you come over to my house for the weekend and we can do hot and sweaty yard work HERE (I will supervise!) Ahhh SANDY I was wondering when school was out. Lately when I walk down to the end of my street I can hear young voices and jet skis out on the lake even during the week. WHAT. A. NIGHT. I've never previously awakened in the middle of the night w/ a dang allergy attack! Sneezing and coughing and drowning in my own secretions. From about 4AM until 8AM when I fell back to sleep for a fitful hour. I'm still sneezing and coughing and blowing and I have a headache but it's lack of sleep (and allergies). Usually I don't have allergies at night b/c I have a CPAP so my air is filtered. And I just changed out the filter a few days ago. Brutal. A---------CHOOOOOOO.

The day has gotten away from me. Had an impromptu road trip / lunch out with friends we stayed with in FL & MO who are back โup northโ for a bit. A fun couple to spend time with.
Celeste....bless you! Ugh on the major allergy attack. โโTis the season I guess. My nose is drippy, eyes itchy....and thatโs with Zyrtec & Flonase on board. Ah well...sure beats snow for me!
Connie....I think you are wise to go with the other company. The window lady sounds difficult to work with. Sounds like your mom is progressing....yeah!
Suze....that is quite a list for the weekend! Good to have a plan , though. I do much better when I put it on a list & check it off.
Sandy....my dd finished school yesterday, but DDIL goes until June 8....but she also started later & enjoys more breaks during the year.
Waves to Steph & JT ~~
Todayโs mission is to start deep cleaning a room at a time. Such fun....but I really meant to do this about a year ago when we finished all the updating with painting & carpeting. Didnโt happen then but iโm Kind of in the mood to get it done before all the summer fun gets going. Todayโs room is a little bathroom....better get back to it.

Celeste Kenneth calls himself a low tech redneck. He won't even touch my smartphone.
I ended up with 11,860 steps yesterday but I will be lucky to get in 9000 today.I must have overdone on the bike yesterday.I do 20 min @a time 3 times a day and didn't feel like I was pushing.Last night it started getting stiff & I just thought it was b/c we were having another short t-storm.Evidently not. Both knees have been hurting so bad when I get up or sit down.I did 30 min this morning on what I thought would be a lower resistance program but it hurts even more.I had planned on walking this morning but we had a thick fog.Maybe I should have walked instead of cycling.I have iced both of them.I used an expensive essential oil cream on them I bought from a friend that never helped me but it's been helping DH so I tried it...nothing.I have used Aspercreme and sprayed on Bio-Freeze plus taken 2-8 hr Tylenol Arthritis.I'm not going to resort to the Celebrex.I'm getting up every hr since 1:00 getting in 250 steps but like I said it's the getting up then sitting back down that hurts. It even hurts when I go to the bathroom.
Connie I'm glad you told DH the standard job would be fine. You have been the one doing all the calling and getting quotes.I'm glad your mom got her brace off.I hope the exercises help her knee and hips.
Suze Scooter is just like Lu with those eyes. She knows she can get anything she wants with those eyes.Good for you on going to the gym and I hope your headaches go away.
Hope you feel better soon Celeste.Mold is in the high category here.
Have fun Angie.I'm glad you enjoyed lunch with friends. We had a light t-storm yesterday afternoon but the rain is unfortunately out of the forecast for awhile & hot weather is back in.

BECKY do you have a good website for mold count? Pollen.com doesn't have mold count figures. LOL on the low tech redneck! Sorry your knees are giving you fits! We're falling apart! LOL
ANGIE good for you on that deep cleaning. I SHOULD do that (not going to) esp since I don't have that many rooms. My housekeepers do what I call a "medium cleaning". More than just dust and vacuum. They do remove couch cushions and sometimes even tip the sofas forward to vacuum under them. But they don't move knick knacks when they dust. And I def. wouldn't call it a deep cleaning. I wonder if a reallllly deep cleaning would help my allergies. PS: I DOOOOO like deep cleaning bathrooms. Very satisfying.
I've got "creamy white chicken chili" in the crock pot. At the end you add 4 oz cream cheese and 1/4 cup FF half and half or cream. I went to 2 stores to get cilantro and neither had a leaf of it. I wonder if there is a world wide cilantro shortage or if there's some e. coli/salmonella issue on cilantro again. I sure don't want food poisoning.
Speaking of which mY DD, despite repeated calls, has NOT heard a word on her test. And at this point it's rather useless, since she's actually improving. Christopher is home and slept thru the night for the first time in 8 nights. So while he's still a long way from well, he's a lot better.
