BECKY the beauty of the No S is its simplicity. And if it doesn't fit on your ONE plate at mealtime, it's not OK. So I could have the salad by putting it on my dinner plate, but then there's only so much room and trust me, my meal plates are, while not overflowing, full to the edges. LOL
I am having so much trouble getting my steps in b/c it's really uncomfortable out there. I walk the 6 houses down to the lake, make the turn around at the bottom of the cul de sac, walk back up the 6 houses on the other side of the street and then back home, and I feel totally overheated. At this point I need 5,000 more steps to get in my 9K and walking around a 1700 SF house w/ furniture in it isn't going to cut it. I can see I'll be doing a lot of my walking between 9 and 10PM tonight. And there is no respite from the 90's in sight.. just getting hotter and hotter. I guess pool walking? But my FB doesn't track pool steps. Also tomorrow is an ozone alert and they say people w/ respiratory problems should stay in doors. So that leaves the TTT (teeny tiny track) or treadmill. whaaaaaaaaaaa is there someone here who could wear my FB and get in steps FOR ME?

SANDY- I'm jealous over the tomatoes, too. We can't plant here till Mother's Day due to risk of frost. So we have to wait till July for fresh tomatoes. Yum!

Angie I guess we are police show junkies.I haven't seen designated survivor though.I will watch new episodes of Law & Order SVU but I don't watch the marathons on it like I do the others.I need a fun day like you had today. It sounds like you enjoyed it.
Celeste No S just wouldn't be simple for me since I snack. It might just be an apple or a protein bar or sf dark chocolate pudding but I still need a snack.I also eat at different hours than you but you seem to be doing very well on it.I also include berries and yogurt with lunch and dinner and that can't be put on a plate.Breakfast I could definitely do No S but not after dinner. We split a pork chop and had Birdseye mashed cauliflower. It is so good.Kenneth keeps asking where the cauliflower is b/c it tastes like mashed taters. It is hard to get steps in especially if we don't happen to be going into Elgin for grocery shopping or something.I don't know what kind of exercise I can do tomorrow b/c I don't like to walk on our country road before grocery shopping and we need to go to HEB in the morning.I won't walk when it's hot and I just tried out the recumbent bike and my knees still hurt too bad to do it although they feel some better. At least it doesn't hurt getting on & off the toilet today. With my knees there's no way I'm wearing your or anyone else's FB tomorrow.
Kenneth said it looks like none of his tomato plants will make it.He thinks a worm or something got in them and even though he's put something on them without rain even though he waters them it doesn't look like they will survive.I'll keep on buying my grape tomatoes and he doesn't eat tomatoes unless they are homegrown.

No tomatoes here either. Most people don't plant until after Memorial Day and we see tomatoes in August-September. This year with the 4 tornadoes last week, so many people won't be planting. They will be worrying about getting their condemned houses demolished and rebuilt.
Celeste sorry it's so hot there. It was a comfortable 70 or so today, but the forecast is for 90 on Saturday and 65 and rain on Sunday. It would be nice if we had some consistent weather.
Connie, hope you got some more quilting done. I can't imagine being able to quilt in 4 hour stretches. I wouldn't be able to sit for that long.
Okay, night all. I am yawning my head off and it's not even 9 pm yet!!

CELESTE since I am afraid your sweetness would melt, I'll do your steps.
I was literally dozing off in the chair while getting a manicure. Visited a bit in town, mowed my lawn, put up my new flag mount and a new birdhouse. I have a load of laundry in and LULU is chomping at the bit to go for a walk. I don't want to, but I will.

I had 2 tomatoes. i went out b/c of what Sandy said and there were 2 beautiful plump cherry tomatoes. I had them and the only problem... they were HOT!! DOH. But I also have several little zucchini and tons of zucch blooms. I planted mine at the end of March and took my chances w/ frost but now I wonder if I planted them TOO LATE. I anticipate a bigger 2nd crop in Sept/Oct/Nov. Anyway the plants LOOK great. CONNIE by July my tom. plants look dead and leggy. I used to pull them up by July until last season when my son said to let them be and keep watering and see if I got an early fall crop and boy was HE right. My cup runneth over. Just later than I anticipated. BECKY OK fine, you don't have to wear my FB. Suze said she would wear mine, so we're good. And glad your knees are somewhat better. JT I couldn't be more excited for the possibility of no cast if it were my own arm!! So I had to get in about 3K + steps to reach 9K. So I started walking up the street and then I started slowly jogging down the street. Well apparently my FB wasn't used to this b/c I got a screen that all of a sudden was counting how fast I was going and my heartrate and then it just gave me a screen that said WTF DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING? ?? And I couldn't get back to my regular screen. I'm PRETTY sure I was on pace for a 6 min mile. For about 3 feet or so. Now I'm all sweaty. But my Aussie 3 Min Miracle Hair is still gorgeous! Good night all. PS: SUZE when you didn't show I decided to wait until tomorrow for the meatloaf to give you plenty of time to get here. Instead we went for Shabu Shabu. LOVE that place. And now they recognize us so that means we go there too often! LOL Getting ready for bed. Buenos nachos.

JT- I'm quilting with a longarm machine so I'm standing the whole time. After lunch I took a nap. Then I quilted again from 3:30 until 6pm when DH got home. After supper and walking the dog, I went back up and worked from 8pm to midnight. And I'm still not to the halfway point. (But I'm close!) Would love to get all the blocks done tomorrow so that borders are all that's left. Not sure if I can work at it that long. It tends to cause my shoulder to act up. But I'm so glad to be making progress!
Step counts are pitiful when I quilt. But I guess standing is still better than sitting.

GOOD MORNING everyone.
CONNIE I think standing for 4 hours is harder than walking around for 4 hours. Standing is rough on the back (and other joints).
I slept well. If I had a bladder that held more than 4 oz I'd probably have slept VERY well. Luckily the book I'm reading is only "meh" so while it keeps me interested, I'm definitely not riveted.
Yesterday and last night were SO much better allergy wise. I have no idea why b/c the pollen levels were still high but I'm grateful. Nothing I HAVE to do today. In fact this has been a LOVELy week w/ nothing I HAD to do. Love those weeks.

Celeste...your post could have been mine! Meh book, sleep ok except for the bladder, nothing pressing to do today, allergies seem better...ha! Itโs all good!
Sunny & humid this morning. Pool cover is off .... fella comes this afternoon to start the pump, etc....yay!!!
JT...hope the cast is soon history!
Connie....happy quilting! One of the gals I had lunch with yesterday is a quilter. They winter near Austin....and she was delighted to find a shop there where she can do her own longarm quilting....there are several machines for rent / hr. She took classes & is thrilled to be able to wilt her own work.
Waves to the bunch ... need to get moving here...bbl

Well, I probably went to bed at 1am. Got up to pee when DHs alarm went off at 5am, then went back to bed until 11! Can't remember the last time I slept that long. Cuts into the time I'm supposed to be quilting, tho.
Joe has been complaining that our milk keeps souring. I've stuck a thermometer in the fridge to see if the digital temp is correct. I sure hope this fridge isn't going out. It's only a few years old. And sadly, Samsung is the only company I know of that makes a French door top and bottom style. DH has sworn not to own another Samsung appliance, but the style of this fridge is ideal due to the placement of our kitchen island. With a single door/drawer, it's a tight squeeze between the fridge/island.
Ok, I think I'm going to eat a big salad and then go quilt.

haha ANGIE. My brain misunderstood your post to be that your friend SUMMERED in Austin and I was thinking "Is she INSANE?"
CONNIE if you slept that long (I'm envious) you needed it. And do you mean a French door on top and freezer on the bottom that pulls out? B/c that's what I have and mine is an LG and I'm over the moon with all my LG appliances. Washer, dryer and fridge.
I was going to pool jog but my lungs are very tight and I realized there's an air quality alert for ozone and people w/ COPD (me) should try to stay indoors. Hopefully after dark it gets better? B/c that's when I'll take a long walk.
We went for shabu shabu last night so tonight will be the meatloaf I planned on. For some reason meatloaf doesn't sound like what I want. Maybe a patty melt? I dunno.

Hi all โ Happy Thursday before the Friday before the long weekend. JT I hope you lose the cast as well โ keep us posted. CONNIE I really donโt know what is causing these headaches. I woke up with a doozey this morning, along with my heart racing. I am just drained. I did go for a massage at lunch to see if that might help a bit โ it did while she was in the process of the massage. My gosh, I need to have those more often. I also adjusted my desk and monitor height to see if that would help. I could feel myself rolling all over the place in bed last night, which doesnโt help. CELESTE I have to admit even the simplicity of NoS has been lost on me the past few days. But it is easy to get back on track with it. LMAO on your evening jog. I have used that Aussie product before and it IS really nice. I donโt know about over there, but there is all sorts of things flying around in the air. Something is blooming and flying! My energy level is zip, and I need to figure out what I have to do to recharge. At least my toes and nails are freshly polished and looking good.

Connie I don't know how you can stand that long at a time.My knees & back would be killing me.I hope you don't have to replace your fridge.
Celeste They are saying the air quality will be bad here all weekend.
Suze I hope your headache gets better.I'm with you on the energy level.Nada and I've got a headache in the back of my head.I'm out or Zyrtec so I may have to go to Wally tomorrow for some.
I took a short walk this morning b/c I have tried the bike and my knees still aren't quite ready for it.We spent more time than I would have liked in HEB and Tractor Supply and we were both hungry so we stopped to eat BBQ.I had smoked turkey & pinto beans. At least I got in my steps.

SUZE I'm still voting on hormones and stress, at least partially for your H/A. AND the racing heart? That's why I sought help for my hormones in the first place about 30 years ago. My heart would wake me up in the middle of the night, pounding and skipping beats etc. And the last time this happened a few months ago I was overdue for my pellets. Also the air quality is just terrible now. I sound like I have advanced tuberculosis again (after a great day yesterday). My energy level has been zip since about... oh... 1980. BECKY I need 5K MORE STEPS and every time I go outside my coughing is so much worse. I planted one of my perennial hibiscus and had to come inside. King John of Harbin (aka Bob) is planting the other one for me. My neighbor has these and they grow HUGE blossoms. OK so the sweet mini peppers and the meatloaf are in the oven. I may just micro a potato and we can share it w/ some garlic bread. I'm not in the mood to peel or even scrub a bunch of new potatoes. I have to admit I've never been in a Tractor Supply store. I have been in a Feed Store. Does that count?
