Stopped on a whim at nail salon, my fav gal is free and I'm getting a pedicure. Need a manicure but will not get one here (and Jenny doesn't do dips). Between warts and surgery its been 4-ever since I've gotten a pedi. Calgon take me away.... Do you know we have staff that dont know of that advertisement? Whippersnappers...
I'll catch up later...another busy day.

Celeste I just go by a local Austin TV channel for mold counts. They do have a website.www.kxan.com and look under weather then go to allergies. This morning it was in the 3000's.It's gone down according to their website to 2345(medium).I wish Meredith's doctor would at least have a nurse call her.I am glad Christopher is doing a little better. To me ground chicken or turkey for that matter is white after it's fried but your chili does sound good.

Hi all. Hope everyone is doing okay. Celeste hope the sneezing has gone away. Glad to hear Meredith and Chris are feeling better. So sorry they haven't heard from the doctor for her.
Connie, hope you were able to work on your quilt and you have a good week off.
Suze, good on the pedi. Sounds like you enjoyed it.
Angie, the schools here get out between June 22nd and 29th. One of the towns still hasn't gone back to school from last weeks' storm. It's still a mess here. We still have people with no power too.
Waving to all. Happy Wednesday!!

JT....people still without power...oh my! I canโt imagine. That is really late to get out....but Iโm guessing they start after Labor Day & get off for lots of holidays that we donโt here.
Becky....sorry to hear your knees are giving you so much trouble. Have you tried the Celebrex in the past? Wondered why you werenโt planning to give it a try now....?
Suze....whippersnappers indeed! Hurray for a pedi...iโm going tomorrow & canโt wait. My heels feel like sandpaper....the really coarse stuff!
Celeste....glad the kids are doing better! Hope they continue to improve! Your chili sounded good!
Changed out dinner plans. Ended up going to a reception that served some light snacks...so opted to just use up some leftovers.
Super muggy here tonight....ugh. Had the heat on last night, AC tonight. Crazy!

Thanks Angie. The problem is both are hurting bad now.I can walk fairly well in the house but getting up and down from the recliner or especially the toilet since it's lower just really hurts.I tried the Celebrex before the shots were approved and it did nothing.I'm hoping this is just temporary b/c it wasn't hurting this bad before the shots are even yesterday afternoon.I probably won't ride the bike in the morning b/c I'm going to Walmart while Kenneth gets a haircut at Great Clips.I was lucky to get in 10,300 steps today since most of them were in the house and only 30 min on the bike. That is crazy heat on last night and AC on today although that's been known to happen in TX.I didn't turn on the AC until after lunch today since it was cloudy this morning and we were gone for awhile.I hope you enjoyed the reception.
stayed under points today recumbent bike-30 min plus getting steps in the house in addition to HEB 10,300 steps so far.Probably not many more b/c I've already taken an Aleve PM and I'm hoping it will knock me out.
G'night all.
JT What a mess.I can't imagine people without power for that long.

LOL SUZE. Does Calgon even exist today? BECKY we weren't bad on mold (I found a count) but grasses were "very high". I'm going to take another shower before bed to see if I can get any pollen off me. This weekend I'll ask Bob to change out the HVAC filters. Or I may do it myself. It's lugging the ladder inside w/o messing up my car... yeah yeah I could move the car. This white chicken chili was AMAZING. It uses chicken breasts cooked in the crock pot until they're all shreddy. Bob and I both had trouble NOT having 2nd but we did it. I'm STILL very low on veggies since we're not having a salad pre-dinner. I may have that and just not count it as a 2nd plate. I def. need the fiber, so I sprinkled ground flax seed over my chili. JT don't you go to the ortho tomorrow? Hoping you'll be cast free SOON. OH WOW ANGIE! Heat last night? What is HEAT? I mean you turned what on I"m so confused ROFLMAO. I've had the A/C on all month and part of last month IIRC. Well I'm off to the shower, then I'll have meal 3 (sandwich and small salad and a halo). Night goils.

Never did quilt yesterday. Took a nap instead. Went to see Book Club at the movies. A bit predictable in places, but I laughed out loud multiple times. I can tell it's one of those movies that I will watch over and over when it hits TV.
We had a hum dinger of a thunderstorm last night. Lots of thunder and lightning and an inch of rain.....And I slept thru the whole thing. Did wake up when DH's alarm went off. Got up with a massive sinus headache. Have taken Allegra D and ibuprofen and am hoping it subsides quickly.
Plan for today is to get upstairs and quilt. Would love to make big progress today and tomorrow. We are going on a weekend fishing trip, so will accomplish nothing Friday-Sunday.

CONNIE, as a "pro" what's the word on Xyzal (if I spelled that correctly). It seems it's the only antihistamine I've not tried yet and so far Zyrtec seems the best.... but not all that goood. WOW SANDY I've had green tomatoes (cherry) for a week or 2 but no ripe ones. My zucch and eggplants have some MASSIVE blossoms. They best do something soon b/c it's getting so HOT. Since I'll be gone for 2 weeks in September, then a week in October, I'm pretty sure that's when everything will ripen. Now sure when I drank gallons, but I sure peed gallons last night. However other than very fast potty breaks, I slept very well. No reflux, no allergy attacks, no hyperactive brain. LOVELY. I see that sometime between midnite when I went to bed, and 6 AM when Bob left for work, my new (accidentally ordered) laptop arrived. I've read that when you buy a new laptop/desktop, it takes FOREVER to install all the windows 10 updates (the big reason I hate Windows 10... infernal updates). So I'll plug it in and wait until tomorrow to even touch the dang thing to avoid frustration. Nothing planned today. I think it will be meatloaf, boiled new potatoes, and roasted mini peppers. I did well yesterday on my NO S goal and got my 9000 steps. WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER.

Miracle of miracles, I've actually been upstairs quilting. In 4 hours I've managed to finish one row of blocks and sashings and one row of setting triangles. I'd like to work at least 4 more hours today. It'd be better if I did 8. I'm taking a lunch break, but am desperately needing a nap. At this rate, I'll never be done. There are 6 more rows, 3 rows of setting triangles and borders. Yikes.
On the bright side, the allergy meds really kicked my headache this morning. Usually if I wake up with a headache I have it all day.

Did well on my NoS and activity goals yesterday. Today I am taking 1/2 day off just... because. I'm drained this week. Workout and mani on my schedule, and a meal of meatloaf, boiled new potatoes and roasted mini peppers. On my way, LOL

**Getting out the Limoges china for my dinner guest** CONNIE glad your allergy/sinus meds have kicked in. I hesitate to say this but I'm SO much better than I was yesterday. Then again I've not put my little (OK MEDIUM) nose outside my door. I did pull out the filters for my HVAC and plan on doing it. PRODUCT RECOMMENDATION: Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Shine hair conditioner. My hair feels MAAAAHVELOUS.

PS: My nose IS MEDIUM. I know when you look at my photo/avatar it looks like Jimmy Durante which is why I really should post a different pic. I'm lousy at selfies. I need a Kim Kardashian lesson.
Also when I look at the photo I want to say "CELESTE. WHY THE LONG FACE?" and honestly I have a round chubby (OK FAT) face. So... WHO IS that woman in the photo? haha

Celeste Yesterday Austin was high on mold and low on grass so go figure.I don't know how a pre-dinner salad would count as 2nds but then I'm not doing No S. I would think the veggies would be more important.I get mine in a salad with Foreman grilled chicken tenderloins at lunch.I also like using TJ's EBTB seasoning on it also.
Connie We had a light t-storm yesterday afternoon. It's a little hazy/cloudy and we can smell the rain somewhere but it hasn't made it here.Hope your headache goes away.Enjoy your fishing trip this weekend.
Celeste I like grape tomatoes better than cherry tomatoes so I told Kenneth not to plant any cherry tomatoes this year.He planted 6 regular tomato plants and I know bugs have gotten into 2 and he's not sure any will make.According to Fitbit I went to sleep at 10:00 and woke up at 2:20.I woke up at 1:30 for a potty break but went back to sleep until 5:00.I would be more tired if I had only gotten 4 hrs sleep. What kind of laptop did you accidentally order? It does take forever for Windows 10 to do all it's updating. It reboots several times.
I was surprised to get 10,000 plus steps yesterday with my knees hurting me.I went to Walmart today and walked while Kenneth got a hair cut plus I pulled out my old stepper I used while sitting down and I have gotten 9000 plus so far and I think I still have 4 more hrs to get in 250 steps although I don't set the reminders anymore. My left knee(the better knee)hurts worse today than the bad knee so no recumbent bike today for me.
Suze Enjoy your 1/2 day off.
Okay I watched NCIS last night & now I'm really pi**ed.All 3 shows,NCIS,NCIS NO and NCIS LA all had season cliffhangers. On LA they showed a big bomb go off and Hetty's mouth wide open.Last night someone abducted Vance and had beaten him up.I don't remember much of NO except Pride was being investigated and they are trying to get him fired. The only good season finale was Blue Bloods with Jaime and Eddy getting engaged finally.

Becky ....we watch the same shows & my thoughts were about the same as yours on the season endings. And if I heard/ read correctly, designated survivor is cancelled... but then I think Netflix is picking it up. I donโt watch any series on anything other than network stations...and not much other than those you mentioned.
Celeste....what time is dinner? Can i bring anything ๐ ?
Connie...yeah on getting some quilting done!
Tell Sandy Iโm not speaking to her....unless she ships me some maters !!!! I am soooooooo jealous!!
Just back from fun day with teacher friends....pedis/ lunch/ ice cream/lots of giggles.
Also got my call back from SS....took all my info over the phone ...retro to April...should have the first check by the end of next week. Same for Rick. Wish she had been the agent for Celeste....pleasant & efficient!
Need to get something done since I have played all day...
