Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well today I'm not on plan/track at all, but I'm not beating myself up about. I know I'll get back there soon. I did go out today and buy a lot of fresh vegetables and fruits, so I'll be eating them for several days. That will stop me from eating too much junk.

Doing a little meal prep today. I had quite a bit of zucchini and yellow squash, so I chopped all that with some onions, garlic and a couple of roma tomatoes and sauteed it. That will be a couple days of side dishes for turkey patties w/gravy for lunches.
My rough plan for the week: Lunches:
turkey patty w/gravy; squash M(dinner)T-W lunches
grilled garlic lime chicken; rotel, black bean and corn cauliflower rice (T-F-S lunches)
Dinners:
M:
hamburger steaks w/brown gravy and potatoes
(my meal prep turkey patties w/gravy and squash) T:
pulled bbq pork on buns for them, cole slaw on the side
W:
chipped beef w/biscuits (light bread for me)
T:
slow cooker chicken w/gravy and rice(for them, probably as-is for me); salad
F:
pinto beans w/sausage and cornbread
S:
Cowboy meal casserole (theskinnyishdish)

DotRen - I've found meal planning has helped me too. Even when I have to make changes to my plan at least I had an outline/idea of what I needed to eat for the week. Your meals sound interesting and varied, hope you enjoy them all I'm still off track, but eating lots of fruits and vegetables, so hopefully that's helping me. Hope everyone else is doing well on their plans.

DotRen, Great job on that meal plan! I bet it will be super helpful! Hi, I'm Irisinnia, and I'm a food-aholic. I have been on plan for two days... It's tough getting back in the groove. And there were some doughnuts yesterday, but I didn't eat one, because, thankfully, DH got them from the doughnut shop I don't like. Not that I wouldn't have eaten them before, but much easier to say no.

I'm trying to be a bit more diligent about it to keep myself on plan and possibly keep a better budget for groceries lol. I've started using the curbside pickup for Kroger, HEB and Walmart more so I don't do as much impulse buying. The downside is that I miss some good in-store mark down and clearance stuff.

Hello Everyone irisinnia - I'm a food-aholic too Doughnuts are one of my biggest temptations. I'm glad you're back on plan DotRen- That's a good idea to avoid the impulse buying. I don't think I could do it though, even though it would be good for me to stay out of the stores. I love to go in a grocery store, it's like a big toy store for me - crazy, but true. When I used to travel more one of the first things I always did in a new town was walk through the grocery store to see what different kind of foods they have. It's kind of sad that I use(d) food for so much of my enjoyment. sunrose - I hope you and your family are doing alright. I'm still thinking of you all. I'm way off track, and hoping I can get myself back there eventually. Hope everyone else is doing better than I am.

I have another batch of yogurt incubating this morning lol. I really am liking the home made over store bought. Just milk and cultures (I used a little Fage greek today, will see how that comes out)and then I picked up several jars of baby food fruit purees to flavor it as I eat it. 10 hours for it to "cook", then 2 hours straining it to make about a quart of Greek/thick yogurt for the price of 6 cups of milk - can't beat that savings!

cj59, Make good choices when you can, you'll find your way back. Glad I'm not the only food-aholic. DotRen, How cool that you're making your own yogurt! I'm not much of a yogurt person myself, but I love making things from scratch, so I get excited about anything creative in the food/beverage department. I am going down a rabbit hole of gardening at the moment. Thought I'd give it a try with the simple stuff. We have grown tomatoes before, because we got them for free at a home and garden show, and we gave peppers a go one year, both went well. So my BFF wanted to start and I said I'll join you! I got a tomato, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, and I thought, why not try to grow beans and strawberries from seedlings so I have those getting started too. A little late in the season, but I'm thinking about keeping them in pots so I can move them inside in the winter. Anyway, seemed like a great excuse to eat more veggies! And I'll have a little project on my hands. I love projects! On the downside, I did some unplanned pre-snacking today on the snacks I bought for my trip tomorrow. Oops! Back on plan ASAP!

irisinnia, I like it because the stuff I make is not nearly as tart/tangy as the store bought stuff Good luck on the gardening! I have a black thumb -the plants know it and just give up lol

DotRen I only like the yoplait whips, which I think do more harm than good for my diet. lol But a milder flavor sounds very appealing. I have a black thumb too! Though I claim to have graduated to a red thumb, like threat level red. I am finally figuring out that all plants are different and all environments are different, so I research the heck out of it then come up with a plan. I only started doing this last year when a lady at the grocery store told me to ice my orchid I was buying. It’s still growing strong! So I’m a new convert.
