Our freezer decided to DIE on us yesterday. We went out to replace it and the new one is coming on Friday. That being said, we are cooking up a storm here...Why the heck it couldn't have happened when the temperature was below 0 is a mystery LOL...Just call us Betty and Bobby Crocker!!!!!!!! Vent over

Audrey- I have no right to complain about anything after what you went through. That is just ridiculous. I am so sorry you went through all of that.

Why don't stores (lowes, home depot, etc) carry appliances in-store anymore? Our dryer has been having issues. It will dry 1 load great then the next takes 3-4 cycles. It's about 10 years old so I said let's get a new one. Lowes: 7-10 days; Home Depot: 7-10 days; BestBuy: we're closed for Easter but you can pick it up Monday! That's the 2nd time we've bought an appliance from BB because they actually carry stock in-store! Thank you BB.

DotRen, our Lowe's and Home Depot don't carry much stock either. And, several of my friends ordered machines and when they were delivered, they were damaged and they had to start over with ordering. It's not unusual for it to take 3-4 weeks before they get a machine installed correctly. I'm glad BB had what you needed.

DotRen , linda72 , After my WW meeting I went to Lowe’s to pick up a 2’ square piece of plywood to place under the mini refrigerator; sitting on the carpeting (which is plush), the door binds. So I shopped Lowe’s web site this morning, found what I needed, discovered they had it in stock, and even noted the “Aisle and Bin” number to pick it up. I went to the lumber department and looked and looked for Aisle 52 without success. I found Aisle 49 and Aisle 53, but no Aisle 52. I found pre-cut plywood in other sizes, but not what I needed. I searched and searched for an employee to help me. Nada. I went to the front of the store and asked two employees before the 2nd one had a clue and directed me to exactly the same spot I had already visited. Finally I spotted a disabled employee in a motorized wheelcheer whizzing by and stopped him. He took me to the same place I had been and located the item—above eye level and marked as Aisle 49 instead of Aisle 52. I mentioned my frustration and his reply was that they have a CEO trying to drive them into bankruptcy. I can believe it. The store I visited had zero customer service; nobody could be bothered to smile, greet customers, offer assitance, etc. Most were more interested in chit chatting with each other than doing whatever jobs they were being paid to perform. I think I am done with Lowe’s. There is a Home Depot in the same general neighborhood and it has at least SOME semblance of customer servie. Anyway, given my experience and the employee’s comment, it doesn’t surprise me that Lowe’s doesn’t carry appliances in stock. They are probably barely managing to make payroll.

zazzles , I know the feeling. My husband is Lowes loyal, but lately it's just a big hassle to find anything there. IF you can find an employee, they're usually stumped as well. Funny thing: Home Depot is right across the road from them lol.

my testing coordinator who is 'supposed' to know all of the rules about state testing.... was going to give me an 'illegal' dictionary to use with my students today (I had 2 students). I had already gotten 2 dictionaries b/c I knew that the ones I could use and the ones I had were correct.- no thesaurus in the back- "oh' she said 'right'. DOH.
Irregularity to the max. Enough said.

I posted a photo of Trader Joe’s tzaziki avocado dip on a Facebook weight watchers group. It is 25 cal for 2 tablespoons. A lady asked me to post the nutritional information so she could figure out points. Then later she asked me to post the ingredients. Then she told me it had to be the 2% yogurt that pushed up the points to one. Seriously was she that worried about a one point dip? I told her that was so I counted calories instead of points. By the way I think it is delicious and I had it with 1 ounce of mini cheddar Triscuits that are 28 for an ounce.

People who have never met a special needs child in their life telling me how to do my job! Testing, paperwork, regulations, laws, etc. All from someone in a nice comfy office looking at numbers, costs and other figures.
They are not looking at lives, faces, children who still need toilet trained at 12, children experimenting puberty and not understanding what is happening. Living human beings with stress, mental health issues, poverty, hunger, unstable homes.
I'm trying to keeping them safe, love them and give them the best education possible, but the 20 pound heads want data that doesn't determine anything.
Sorry for the rant

thank you for your support.
Now I'm going to add computers that don't work. We are supposed to update a google doc with the kids working on testing and mine won't let me add a number to it!
