hpeterson1951 You are so caring and conscientious. I may have mentioned the child in our grandson's kindergarten class who had missed 20 days at another school before she arrived in his class. Well, she missed three days before spring break which was last week and has not returned to class. I bought her flash cards for her mommy to help her count but they are probably lost. She is a child capable of learning but what chance does she have if this is her start?

Thank you all for your kind words.
Jamescat1- Stories like that just break my heart. I have several like that right now. I just got a message last night from a grandma that a child is being left alone, not getting the medical help he needs, ran away, it's a mess. I think I need o call Children and Youth Services. I just wish I could do more. It can really tear you up inside.
And then people who have never been in this position make crazy rules!

Went to my local Target last night. I don't know why I bother. It's an absolute mess and there are more empty shelves than full. I have yet to run in there to get what I need. I have a corporate retail background and if the purchasers/allocators don't know how to order/replenish, they need to hire some that do!! Grrrr....

Add to that the fact that Target entered the retail grocery business quite a few years ago but doesn’t understand the concept that a store has to carry staples—even if they don’t sell well—if they want to build a loyal customer base of grocery shoppers. I tried to give them my business, but finding that I couldn’t fill a basic shopping list without having to visit another regular grocery store meant that I don’t bother to even think of them for a grocery run.

Pillows! I need a pillow that is like sleeping on a brick. I find a good one, then the next time I buy the same pillow, they change it. I tried tempurpedic for a while, but even those are softer now (not to mention $$$!) I found one I really liked at Kohls, but now they're softer/less fill. So I read amazon reviews and I see "hard as a rock" -yeah! But not, like, at all -it flops when you pick it up = not hard. Geesh.

So I read amazon reviews and I see "hard as a rock" -yeah! But not, like, at all -it flops when you pick it up = not hard. Geesh. I love feather/down pillows. As a child I slept on one filled with feathers/down that my grandmother had brought with her from Europe. Apparently she thought they were so worth it that she smashed them down into a tight package and brought them with her when she emigrated. So of course those pillows are long gone. And of course I have been on a quest to find that perfect pillow that is the exact replica of my pillow of childhood. Fat chance. I have been through countless pillows and none---NONE---even come close. The perfect pillow has to be punchable but able to retain its shape after punching. Squashable, punchable, and able to conform perfectly to my needs. So I now have a paltry imitation of my beloved pillow, an overpriced lump of down/feathers that flattens like a pancake every night. The hunt continues....

My only suggestion is the next time you find one you love, buy extra & store them. It's a bit expensive initially but makes life so much easier down the road. I do that with shoes, purses, etc. My DH just shakes his head at my 'stash' closet but it works for me.

I really need to because I've always had "neck headaches" (if that makes sense) when I don't have my head at the right level sleeping.

I had a small leather case, intended for sunglasses, that I bought at Wilson’s House of Leather. I used it to carry my blood testing supplies, insulin and pen needles. I had it for years and then lost it one day. I went to Wilson’s and they no longer carried cases like that. I finally found the case being sold on Amazon; although the zippers were opposite of what I was used to, it was exactly what I needed. I bought six!

DotRen google best pillow for neck headaches. Where I stayed in AZ they had 8 kinds of pillows and for me, a side pillow which was rectangular shaped, worked best.

Bought some sugar free chocolates so I could have a lo-cal sweet treat occasionally.
The serving size is two pieces. I had one yesterday- Rick had 4! He ate 1/2 the bag!
I get things to help me with portion control and he says "Those are good" and eats the whole thing in one sitting!
I love him but sometimes he drives me nuts!!!
