I agree with Mike that they won't admit that Freestyle is a failure.Ā In my 22 years as a member, Freestyle is by far my favorite plan. I attend several meetings a month in various places and there is SO much success, it's really amazing. There is no plan that will please everyone..and I understand that Freestyle isn't for everyone but, I don't expect ww to admit it's a failure, when it clearly is not.

Jennifer that is GREAT! And the reason you are seeing so much success in the meeting rooms is that the ones that are successful on it are the ones that are staying. Why pay and stay if it isn't working for you? Just take a look at any of the FB groups where members are talking about meetings being closed everywhere. I agree it is a great program for a certain subset of people. I have mentioned numerous times a good friend has lost 60+ pounds on it! BUT this program has members fleeing in droves (as shown by the financial reports,) add in all the other nonsense with the changing of everything associated with Weight Watchers, from the company name down to how receptionists are referred to and you have a firestorm of discontent. The board needs to fire Mindy immediately and get someone in there that actually understands what the true intent behind WW is, someone that "gets it." I am honestly shocked she hasn't been booted yet before she completely destroys the company like she did the magazine.

Jennifer, glad to hear that FS is working for you and some others. As DebDoesWW said, members who donāt have success seem to flee much more quickly with FS than they did with earlier programs. It was typical for people who didnāt have success to stick around for six months with other programs, but those who donāt experience decent losses with FS seem to flee after 30 to 60 days. Perhaps thatās a result of recruiting younger people who have less tolerance and patience. The Q1 2109 earnings will be released today and the earnings call to explain them to analysts will take place after the stock markets close today. We will know for sure what direction memberships have taken over the last three months. The bottom-line results will be a bit more difficult to understand as any improvement or slowing in decline will be partially the result of continued cost cutting. I will be curious to see if anything is mentioned about the cessation of publication of WW Magazine without, as nearly as we can figure out, notice to any current subscribers.

Weight watchers has my heart, long ago (and still today) it saved me from myself. It feels to me like Mindy came in with the agenda of turning weight watchers on it's head, and she pretty much did that. Other CEO's have been canned for much less.. (my beloved David Kirchhoff <3) Do you think it's because Oprah brought her in that we are stuck with her?

David Kirchhoff was outstanding and beloved.
I think she was picked because of her reputation with helping a flailing HSN. She used the same strategies at WW that she did at HSN, and that was her mistake. She came in and basically leveled the company without having any understanding whatsoever of the intent and heart associated with it.

Tonight is the Q1 report.
A few years ago WW was in the news as the stock prices went to below $4 a share .. I asked my husband .. how low can stocks go?
I watched them climb to over $100 a share and was kicking myself for not buying any. Not sure how low they will go this time but I wonder if they really drop if it's a good buy? (
See? I still have faith in Weight Watcher's survival :-)

Do you think it's because Oprah brought her in that we are stuck with her? I suspect it has something to do with the deal she negotiated for herself coming in the door. Companies usually hire a president or a CEO, but she came in the door as president and CEO AND with a seat on the board. That gives her a position of much power. I think she was picked because of her reputation with helping a flailing HSN. She used the same strategies at WW that she did at HSN, and that was her mistake. She came in and basically leveled the company without having any understanding whatsoever of the intent and heart associated with it. Her complete background was in retail: the garment industry first, then HSN. She had NO background whatsoever (as far as I could find) rumming a company that was selling primarily services. That accounts for the frying pans and other kitchen stuff that has made the scene in WW locations Tonight is the Q1 report. Apparently membership figures were prereleased yesterday saying that they have 4.5M members, essentially the same as a year ago and pretty much what the predicted at the start of the Quarter. What the analysts didnāt observe is the many, many āfire saleā multi-month memberships that WW has been selling AND the ādonāt quit, weāll give you three months freeā offers when people call to terminate memberships. Those drive up membership figures artifically. Probably a shrewd strategy by WW in order to artifically inflate the membership figures for the financials.

Is there a gag emoji for WW winning the Webby award for their app?

Is there a gag emoji for WW winning the Webby award for their app? Why though? I really like the app and other than a glitch here and there I have 0 problems with it.

There have been many issues with it in recent years.
There are several good free apps you don't have to pay for every month IMHO.

Why though? I really like the app and other than a glitch here and there I have 0 problems with it. The inability to choose whether photos in Connect are shown or hidden by default is a major reason that it is not award-winning. Not to mention the fact that the size of the photos scale up to the size of the screen on which they are being viewed. That may be fine on a smartphone screen, but try looking at it some time on a computer attached to a 21ā LCD screen. Those inappropriate photos can just knock you out of your chair with revulsion.

Well .. i never said I like connect lol (honestly I very rarely go there, when I think of the WW app, it doesn't come to mind) I just use it to track my foods and calculate points for stuff.
