The pricing is terrible. Terrible enough to just offend me and make me angry they are even doing this.

For all we know they could be buying a competitor with the intent to keep it running as a separate business. For sure there is no way they would convince existing WW members to pay double or more the monthly fee.

Wow that Kurbo thing is so weird? Why would they acquire them? Especially with the name recognition NOOM has made for themselves like DotRen said. I agree lavonm it is long over due.

A box that is $5.95 in a meeting is about $1.25 more online.

Back on April 15th, I received an email from WW with the subject āIntroducing Kurbo by WW: Make weight loss fun for kids and teens!ā Body of email: As a WW member, youāre on a wellness journey, and now you can bring your family along with you. Introducing WWās newest offering: Kurbo, a simple, proven program designed especially for kids and teens to help them lose weight, eat better, get active, and build healthy habits for life. And from now until April 30, 2019, WW members can use the promo code WWKurbo for 20% off a Kurbo mobile subscription plan plus one-on-one coaching for kids and teens.* Why your family will love Kurbo: ā¢ Kids can track in seconds with the super-simple app. ā¢ Games, tips and a green/yellow/red light system make it fun! ā¢ Coaches provide expert support and take pressure off parentsāno more food police. Pricing is 85.00 a month. my.kurbo.com/plans?j=1648462&sfmc_sub=53634455&l=19_HTML&u=17924670&mid=7003004&jb=29

I think if WW wants to work with kids/teens then it needs to be done very carefully and quite frankly is beyond their level of expertise. If Kubo specialises in working with that age group, then maybe itās a good thing that for once, WW havenāt misaligned their ambitions with their capabilities.

But for anyone not near a āstudioā who wants to pick up product, at least they could buy reasonable quantities, spend less than $75, and skip the WW shipping fee if they have Amazon Prime. The fact that the prices are higher on Amazon, however, is just yet another underscore of how greedy the companyās outlook is. Their greed will be their downfallāeventually.

I figured the price hike was due to "free" shipping. In this case, it's not free but it sounds good if you don't know any different. I personally wouldn't order since I can walk into a studio & buy there but a lot of people don't have that option.

Our Library friends group sells used books on Amazon; Iām completely involved with that. So I can tell you that Amazon exacts hefty fees and percentages for 3rd party sellers. So it is more than likely WW is covering the added fees they pay to Amazon in order to net the same as they do sales in the studios.

Another of Mindys bright ideas? Partnerships? Kind of explains the current problems with WW...No idea where there going anymore or what they want to be. my.kurbo.com/plans?j=1648462&sfmc_sub=53634455&l=19_HTML&u=17924670&mid=7003004&jb=29

debsback, interesting and amazing. As we know, WWās attempts at patterning with other companies always seem to fail miserably. It will be interesting to see if this one is different.
