How about a strawberry shake, milk, ice and strawberry. Also, liver once a week! I used to make a shake out of Alba 77 and a "slice" of WW ice cream.

I was a couple of iterations later than this - but there were a lot of similarities. In those days, the WW diet was available in the cookbooks. I didn't join WW, I just bought the cookbook and followed the diet. I do remember my first meetings - in a hospitality suite in a Holiday Inn. My leader had lost 100 pounds.

I have WW ckbk from 1972. Maybe I should look it over again and go back to basics 😆, but that exchange plan was like a juggling act!

I remember going to meetings in the mid-80s. It was a morning meeting before work, and the ladies there would argue about whether they eat their daily "bread slices" at breakfast or would they need to have one at breakfast and one at lunch. When we finished with that, we would finish by discussing when they could eat their fruit cocktail. My head used to explode, and I would leave there craving a Big Mac.
Needless to say, that was a failed WW experience.

I absolutely still eat my tuna with mustard, and it's a rarity for me to use mayo...some of those old habits stuck, even if I never stuck with the program!

I haven't done a major exploration of the WW site in ages. Since there have NOT been any improvements to WebConnect, the only thing there that I use is the tracker.
Perhaps it's time for a foray...

I've always done Tuna with mustard or just Olive Oil, only because I hate Mayo!
I found several of my MIL's WW materials from the 60's-70's when we were cleaning out her house. I kept them just for fun. I should make some recipes and see what the points are.
I also work as a WW receptionist. Last night I gave a 70 year old man a free tote bag and a free glow box because he box $40 of product. He said he was going to give the glow box to his 11 year old grand daughter for Christmas.
Everybody agreed that a 11 year old is the perfect target audience for the glow box! That's a sad statement about WW

But I like mustard better! I do egg salad as well, LOL! Wow, if I could quit eating sweets now...come on, Weight Watchers, inspire me!

I don't think I would like tuna with regular mustard anymore but I really do like the spicy brown mustard with it.I think my first attempt with WW was probably in the early 1970's.I lost 80 lbs and made LT.I have not been able to find a meeting close enough since then.

This thread is bringing up lots of memories. I definitely remember the weekly liver. Thanks for making me smile this morning.

I also feel that they are ignoring the people who got them to where they are The people who "got them where they are" would be 60+ years old. Unless you're AARP, that's not a sustainable business model. Although there could be some APs in it for you when you chase them off your lawn.

Tuna with mustard? I've been around a long time (I remember "slicing" WW ice cream for a dairy serving!) but this is a new one for me. I do have some of those "cards" with weird recipes. "Crown Roast of Frankfurters" was one of the stars of that scary show! OMG the crown roast of frankfurters. Someone brought those cards into the meeting and our leader had them up on the table. Mackerelly, anyone?
