I have commented before that both JD and Ron were really sick in December with "the flu". I've wondered for a while if they both had covid. My friend's daughter was in Wuhan last December and was quite ill upon her return. She chalked it up to a severe flu case. Now of course we all think it must have been Covid.

Any of them consider getting an antibody test? If they donate blood they automatically do one. I would want to know.

The health department closed one of the gyms in our city for not following the COVID rules. Glad to see some enforcement.

Not as far as I know. The person in question is in Michigan and I am not in direct contact with her, just her mom.

The NYT has a "where are you in the vaccine line?" calculator. I am too clueless to post links, but I have 72K people ahead of me in my county (pop. 390K) if I don't check the health conditions box, and 10K ahead of me if I do. They count autoimmune disorders and UC would qualify.
There's a link on the GDT, and you can probably google it easily. That's how DH found it.

lani, I'm behind 273,000 in my county because I don't have a health condition. My husband is behind 60,600 in our county because he has emphysema.

17,100 in my county for me (asthma) ; 288,400 for Ron; 133,600 for JD classifying him as a teacher because of where he works.

lani, DH found that and calculated for both of us. I think we are right next to each other in line. I don't remember at this point how many thousands are ahead of us.

My local paper has an article that says Pfizer cannot supply any additional doses of the vaccine until June or July because other countries bought up the supply. The US will get the 100 million doses it purchased earlier this year. Since it is a two dose vaccine that means 50 million people will get vaccinated. "The current population of the United States of America is 331,838,624 as of Sunday, December 6, 2020,"

bbbearsmom, It was short sighted to refuse to purchase more Maybe the other 2 vaccines will be more available.

Because I am not politically literate how does the executive order affect that?

Jennifer, I don't think he can force pfizer to breech the contract with other countries that they've already pre-sold to, but it might be able to force them to increase production.
