Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Super Tuesday! Nothing special in that regard going on around here though. I went to bed at my usual time and slept very well and woke shortly after 6. My coffee was ready and waiting so I got my quiet hour.
We have another balmy day on tap. It is 32 now but with a predicted high of 50. We'll take it!!
DH is calling me to breakfast, so I better go for now. Will do personals later.
BBL. Make a great day!!

Hey all,
Good to read all the posts and catch up with everyone’s news. I love doing that with my morning coffee!
Sue, hooray to easy peeling eggs and glad that new trick worked for you! That’ll make life much easier. Glad you have warmer weather and are still on the mend. I also love your outlook on the Corona virus. I feel much the same way. There are many hysterical people around here and then we have the laughing contingent who says it is all a big scare tactic and don’t believe that it’s any more than another common virus that we may have “already had.” A colleague told me that. Just the same, it is good to be prepared, and like Ann, we could open a grocery store as well especially in the toilet paper, Kleenex and paper towel category. Our guest room has many cases or each – thanks to my DH and he wonders why BJ’s only sends him coupons for the TP, PT and Kleenex. HA! He is their #1 buyer.
Ann, as always you make me smile and I love, love your humor. Cracks me up to hear about Carl and his gadgets. My dad was the father of all gadget KINGS! He bought every gadget coming down the line. One Christmas (knowing he loved gadgets so much), I bought him a donut maker. He opened it and then said “Hold on—I think I already have one!” and he ran to a closet and pulled out the same item!!! Then he gifted all five of us electric carrot peelers with which I nearly sliced my finger off and wound up with carrot peelings all over my ceiling!! LOL We laugh so hard at our memories and he’s been gone 20 years now. I loved him so much. We also had “Coney Island” hot dog steamers, peanut butter machines, yogurt makers, big and small daddy fryers, and every kind of clap on clap off gadget out there from him. Ha ha! So, he and Carl would have been good buddies. And, now I am married to the paper goods king! I told him that if there is a pandemic, we can make a lot of money selling rolls of TP at the back door for $20 a roll.
Pam, your DD’s story about Costco is the same here. I guess in NYC there is not a bottle of hand sanitizer to be found! Also, I loved reading about your night out with Floyd Brown and all the types of music he plays. I will be listening to the link when I get a chance. I love Zydeco music. I am not familiar with Swamp Pop, but I’ll bet I’ll love it. You two are quite the partiers! So good that your friend enjoyed a night all dolled up and having fun, too. It does make us feel young again even if we pay for it the next day. Abbey keeps you on your toes with her games and fun. I am so envious of your picking wildflowers already! Ahhhh….but, we are getting warm weather today close to 60. It is pretty weird here, actually to have this weather. No winter to speak of so far. And, I am sorry about your elderly co-worker passing away, but that luncheon honoring her becomes even more meaningful, I am sure. We are also bringing all our university students home from Italy this week. Many were on semesters abroad and disappointed but better safe than sorry. My friend is also canceling her trip to Italy this spring, and our other friend, a travel agent, said she has not booked many trips and NO cruises in two weeks. Tough for business.
We have a busy week ahead, too. We have a special dinner planned with my very best friend for life from Arizona and her husband on Thursday at a wonderful, small Italian restaurant (Mare e Monti, Ann). Not sure if you have been there, Ann, but it is about as authentic as it gets and the most delicious Italian cuisine from a family “off the boat” from Italy. We are so lucky with our choices of wonderful Italian food here. They don’t have it in Arizona so much, so my friends are thrilled. It’ll be great to see them. They visit often because their daughter is a newspaper reporter in the area.
All for now…better get crackin’. Oh, I weighed in today at WW (I missed the meeting but did stop by quickly) and managed to maintain while on my second round of antibiotics in three weeks. One for bronchitis and one for UTI. Ugh.

OMG Judy....I remember and Carl has owned several of the items you DD had...with the exception of the carrot peeler. He just have been steaming hotdogs when that one was introduced LOL. That is too funny with DH being the king of paper products. You'd make a mint selling them That's a good way to increase your $$ once retired LOL. Judy your special dinner with your friends at that awesome restaurant sound just perfect. Enjoy. Nothing like getting authentic cuisine out Give yourself a HUGE pat on the back for maintaining while on antibiotics. That's not an easy thing to do. You rock Later....

Ha ha - too funny, Ann. I actually used to love that "Coney Island" hot dog steamer. Oh, I forgot the sandwich press, the onion choppers, etc. Everything was electric. :-) I am someone who loves good knives and do it all that way these days. My dear old dad never found a gadget he did not love. :-)
I had a great lunch today for a birthday celebration at Joey's in Worcester. I had a wonderful chicken salad wrap and only ate half. I'll have the rest later on. I love chicken salad and this was nice white, tender meat with not too much mayo.
What a day it is - it had to be close to 60 and sunny and warm. Love it.
Remember to vote everyone!

Hi All ~ I just finished reading all your posts and feel very caught up.
Ann ~ Hope your good weather stayed around. I love it when I am able to track for the entire day ahead of time - AND stick to it!!
Pam ~ Wow! about your DD's Costco! I haven't been to Costco, but will be going soon. We'll see how they are stocked?? In this morning's paper, both Meijer and Kroger said they had plenty of the "in demand" supplies, and more "coming down the pike". There are only two of us and our needs are very simple.
Judy ~ I agree about preparedness for the upcoming whatever. I am not going to begin stockpiling stuff. I do think I would seriously consider not traveling, especially to areas that have had active cases of corona virus.
I stopped at Meijer this afternoon to pick up the birthday cake I ordered for my work partner and some flowers - and the gal in front of me had a cart FULL of cases of bottled water and Gatorade. So much so that she didn't have enough money and had to ask the clerk to take some of it off her bill. Geez ..... I think this is obsessive!
I have now been sitting on hold for almost a half hour with our (new) mortgage company. They sent me a letter in January telling me they did not have proof of our insurance (through the HOA) so I called and had it sent to them. Then I received a second letter a month later, so called again. This time I got the name and phone number of our insurance carrier - called them and they sent the document. I also called the mortgage company and the young lady stayed on the line with me until she actually received (and recorded) our information. Fortunately I took notes of the dates because yesterday I received yet another letter demanding insurance information. I called them and finally got someone after waiting and waiting..... seems they are looking for 2019 insurance confirmation (because they took over our loan 11-1-19), but the letter doesn't mention that. I have called our HOA insurance agent and they are going to send the necessary information (hopefully!!). Yikes! This is the third afternoon I have devoted to THEM (and I don't even know them). Thanks for letting me vent.
DH is home now so that should brighten up my day!!

Sue, how frustrating to have to prove that you have insurance over and over. I hate those glitches and it is so maddening and such a waste of time. I am glad you straightened it out - hopefully for the last time! I remember your telling us about it earlier. I have similar experiences with health insurance and medical stuff -don't we all?!!
I do agree that it is obsessive to have so much water that you can't pay for it. Yikes. We have a good stockpile of canned goods but like Ann, we generally have that. I have basement shelves for things like tomato sauce and beans, etc. We will not starve for sure. I also have a fair amount of ground beef and chicken in the freezer individually packaged as well and I forgot to mention that my DH loves to buy water. Our water is safe to drink but it tastes like pool water lately so we have taken to buying gallons of Poland Springs and also I like the Pellegrino bottled water to drink. We have tons of both thanks to another of DH's obsessions. LOL I think Carl and my DH have that in common but my DH sticks to paper goods and water - way too much of both!
Have a good rest of the day. I have a Hello Fresh order arriving tonight compliments of my DD. We will do it for this week only due to the salt content - I will leave out the packets of seasonings to keep it low sodium.
TTFN...

sue that is SO VERY ANNOYING. Sorry you have to put up with all this 'stuff' once again. Praying that this time it STAYS FIXED. ((hugs)) Happy that DH came home in time to brighten up the rest of your day. Happy to report that I stuck to what I pre-planned and tracked! I also got in two really good hood walks one before and one after voting. There were no lines at the town hall...just as I expected. We don't get a decent turn out of voters in our area. I guess people would rather b----h than move and voice their opinion. Just my take on it! Judy I nearly spit my water out We also have water stockpiled in every closet you can find. I have the zero water pitcher...two of them actually. One one the counter and one in the fridge Our water is not fit to drink period. I also never drank the water in Worcester either...guess it's just a 'me thing'...it always has a bleach smell to me. Carl also has a spice fetish LOL.....I'm not going to 'go there' with that one! Suffice to say that some of the spices I have never heard of nor do I know what they are used for! I've probably tasted them as he does a lot of grilling and a lot of rubbing LOL but no clue what he uses. Time for me to sit and relax now. I'm all jammified and just listening to it pour! So happy it waited until I'm all tucked in for the night. Mother Nature was good. Sweet dreams all.

Good evening!
So nice to visit with all of you today! DH was already gone when I got up to take Jude to a 7:30 AM physical therapy appointment, so he doesn't miss too much school. By the time DH got home, I was gone to attend hospice team meeting and then pick up an Rx refill at Walmart. Not much else going on here today, though we did have a lovely visit with a woman who is helping DH with the book on our little village, giving the black perspective. At least that's what he wanted. Two interviews later and he doesn't have too much to work with, but has spent hours as Mrs. Carrie LOVES to talk. Today, she got to tell us about working for Ira Gershwin's wife when she lived in CA. The list of neighbors was star-studded and included Lucille Ball. Mrs. Carrie is quite a lady! Unfortunately, she didn't have much to add to DH's efforts.
I have pork chops and gravy, brown rice and peas simmering for dinner. We will avoid the Super Tuesday hype and watch Seven Days in Utopia with Robert Duvall, one of my favorite actors, on Prime instead. I'll let you know if it's any good.
I agree the stock-piling of stuff is getting downright crazy. I just want enough on hand to be able to avoid trips to Walmart if/when the virus hits here. We live in the country and could possibly miss it if we stay away from crowds.
Dinner bell is ringing!

Good morning all. Another good sleeping night We had horrible wind and rain last night. The flying monkeys were out and about LOL. Today looks like it will be a day like yesterday with more wind. Right now it's windy and hopefully that will die down. Nothing written in stone today...will just play it by ear. Enjoy a peaceful and OP March 4th and I'll pop in later.

Good Morning, WW Friends ~ Happy Hump Day!! I cannot believe this week is half over! We have grey, dreary out the window but the temp is 34 and promises to go to mid-40's. This will be our coolest day this week (I'll take it). I have packed up the birthday surprise for my work partner and will be going to school a little early to get there and set up ahead of her. This will be a fun-filled day (at least she made my b'day that way). I got over my snit at the mortgage company (almost). I didn't hear from anyone via email yesterday so when I get home this afternoon I will begin with our condo (HOA) insurance company and find out if they sent it and if it was received?? I do not want to invest any more time in this. Thanks to you all for letting me vent Today I am scheduled to meet VBF at WW for a WI (late as we avoided a snow storm last week). I hope to be down and encouraged enough to come home and keep on going. I need a substantial loss before summer begins and now is the time to start. BBL. Make a great day!!

Sue always feel free to vent away. We may not always have the answers, but we do all listen Here's hoping that you will have a happy ending. I'm sure you will make your work partners bday just as special as she made yours Enjoy a nice cheerful day. Our sun is coming in and out. For some reason I'm feeling cold today and that's inside the house! I put on an extra sweater. Before I venture out, I need to warm up. Enjoy your meeting tonight the you VBF and I hope the tin box is in your favor. Later...........

Hi!
It's a gray, dreary day here with rain predicted all day and all night. At least it's 63, so not cold and rainy, just rainy. The weather pretty much matches my mood. I have not been careful with my eating or tracking or exercising, so my weight loss has stagnated. I have only myself to blame. Gotta find my mojo and get going again before the scale starts creeping up.
Little Abby was honored at school yesterday with a Virtue Award for faithfulness. We called her last night to congratulate her and she seemed pleased. She said she was surprised when they called her name. Another honoree was my niece's granddaughter, so our family was well-represented.
Ann - we are blessed with great-tasting water which is tested annually to ensure there are no problems. We also have 2 large rain barrels filled with rain water I use for plants. In a pinch, we could use it after boiling or treating it with chlorine (16 drops per gallon per Girl Scout guidelines). We only have water problems during extended post-hurricane power outages, so I see no need to buy tons of water. I did notice the Walmart supply was low when we shopped there last.
Sue - I hope your insurance woes are over, but if not, feel free to vent. Enjoy your outing with VBF and I'm sending you vibes for a good WI.
Judy - Swamp pop is very popular here as it is good dance music. Check out Van Broussard, Foret Tradition, Don Rich, T.K. Hulin or Warren Storm on YouTube or Pandora for good examples.
Not much on the agenda other than choir practice at 5:30, so I need to push myself to get some household tasks done. Have a great OP day!
