Judy praying for safe travels for your family. I'm in favor of ducking out early Enjoy. Your meal was well worth each and every point, Judy. So very happy you got to sit back and fully enjoy Love when that happens. Oil dude still isn't here yet. Ran into 2 'out of heat' customers. Lord knows when he will get here. Luckily our lunch plans are now for later. We will meet up with them at 6 ish which will work better for us also. Pam I am all about NOT RUSHING these days. My mantra...slow and steady Love that you put it off. Kudos on setting up the bill pay. LOL Sue our Clorox wipes reside near the kitchen sink and on both bathrooms on the back of the toilets Out of sight, out of mind with both Carl and I. Ahh to that silver lining. That's a great concept and I'm sure that will work. Sunny out here. Carl just went to walk miss LuLa solo while I wait for oil man to show up. Sheesh....yea I get emergencies, but a phone call from THEM would have been appreciated rather than one from ME where I spent time waiting on the phone! Need to take a few good breaths and calm down. No use getting my draws in a twist over something I have no control over.... Hi Pam Later.....

Well he finally made it. This service guy is top notch and does a great job so I really shouldn't complain. He came in and apologized and quickly got to work.
I've already made hummus for the week. I have issues with tahini so I make my own using sesame oil and sesame seeds. I love it on Joseph's flax and oat pita bread.
Once he's gone I'll decide whether or not we'll hit Hannaford's or not. I have a few things to pick up, but nothing that can't wait.

Hi Judy ~ We were posting at the same time. So nice to hear about your fabulous dinner last night!! I also no longer have any friends from childhood, but do cherish the ones I've had all throughout our marriage and before. I know what you mean about how very special those connections are!
I have started some laundry and feel very accomplished this morning. That yukky stuff is still falling outside. Oh well, it will be gone soon enough.
Does everyone remember that we have to change our clocks Saturday night/Sunday morning??

Ann, I am glad the oil dude showed up. Better late than ever and doing a good job counts for a lot. I used to make my own hummus but now I love some "homemade" hummus from an Egyptian market near me. He makes the best hummus, tabbouli, etc. and like you, I love the Joseph's pita breads - all of them. In fact, due to my overabundance of food delivered this week, I now have FOUR packages of them (three in the freezer.) lol
Sue, glad you have a free haircut/color thanks to your DH. Very thoughtful! You and I are on the same posting wavelength for sure. Thank you again for reminding me about "springing" ahead with the clocks. They may call it springing ahead, but all week I am "lagging behind" after this getting up earlier and losing an hour's sleep. Funny that it is the big box stores cleared out of all necessities. That's a great observation by your work kitchen chef about the incidence of the "regular" flu going down with all the hand-washing and bleaching. A side benefit to this pandemonium.
My book that was poofed away has been downloaded again on my Kindle. The library got in another copy. Lucky me.
All for now. Have a good weekend. I'll try to check in!

I wish I could eat the store hummus. Unfortunately it's the tahini in it that upsets my tummy and gives me 'issues'. No clue why that is. I bet the one you get at that market is delish, Judy. Sure sounds like it. I hate when a good book poofs. Glad the library had another copy LOL to being well stocked in the pita department. Now I know who to hound when I run out Oh and add a few rolls of toilet paper Sue awesome that you have your free beauty treatment thanks to DH Sue I have it marked on my calendar, but thanks for the reminder. Not fond of losing an hour shut eye but I do like when it stays lighter longer. LuLa as well LOL. Donna stopped over for a coffee and we had a great visit with her. She told me that her mom has stopped doing a lot of things and just letting her husband George pick up the slack. I feel badly for both of them. Donna is now living with her partner and they seems to be doing well together. I'm happy for her. She looks content and I attribute that to being away from her controlling mom. I never saw Sheila in that light...I guess she always had her best foot forward when Carl and I were in her company. Time for me to get a move on. Our sunshine has gone to another planet. Hopefully it will come back. Later......

We had a wonderful time with our friends. Unfortunately we didn't get to go to New England Seafood. That is a small place, and being Friday in lent, the line was outside the building! Instead, we went to a tavern here in town. Sandy and I both got a cup of veggie chili and shared a veggie Calzone. She is also a weight watcher doing it online so it made it easy. Roger and Carl both got their fish and chips. I stole ONE FRENCH FRY lol and yes...very tasty. Now I'm ready to get jammified and relax. Sweet dreams

Hi!
I'm pretty sure you won't be reading this until Saturday morning, as it is getting rather late, but that's okay. Seems like I have more time to post in the late evening. We had a long day yesterday, but very much enjoyed our dinner out and the play, which was a comedy/farce. Not super good, but entertaining nonetheless.
This morning after Mass and quiet time, I went into the office and took care of a few things for my supervisor. Her trip to visit her daughter in Texas was interrupted by her brother's abrupt downturn in health and subsequent death. I am not sure if she made it all the way to TX and had to come back, or if she hadn't left yet. Her brother was not doing well and today the decision was made to take him off the ventilator. So sad!
I stopped at Walmart for perishables like bread, milk, eggs, yogurt, fruit and butter and a few incidentals. It was nice to be able to make just a quick trip, since we are stocked up on most things. People seem to have calmed down and I didn't notice any empty shelves, thank goodness.
I was able to get lunch and a short nap, then headed over to church to help with a Lenten fish fry dinner. It was fun hanging with some of the other Catholic Daughters and putting together the plates of fish, coleslaw and potato salad. DH was helping with the cooking and then we ate our dinners together before the crowds started arriving to pick up dinners. Afterwards, DH came home while I stayed to attend the Lenten meditation and living rosary put on by the youth group. I didn't realize the rosary would be outdoors and was not dressed for the chilly evening. I was glad to get home, get jammified and relax with a cup of cocoa and a warm lap blanket. I will read a bit before bed.
Tomorrow, DH and I will head to town for 8:00 AM for a Master Gardener plant sale. He wants vegetable plants and I want flowers. At $1 per plant, it will be a great sale, but the early bird catches the worm. At 11:00 I will join the choir to sing for a funeral. The deceased was the young hospice patient I saw a few weeks ago,the daughter of a neighbor, with a sudden Stage IV lung cancer diagnosis. She had made her peace with God and didn't suffer long and that is pretty much the attitude her family is taking. I worked with two of her sisters, so will try to get there early for visitation.
I was up .5 at WI which was not at all surprising. I am trying to eat mindfully and have resolved to start back tracking and exercising. Wish me luck!
Sue - Thanks for the DST reminder! Our legislature will consider a bill to keep DST year round, which would suit me just fine. The changing back to CDT for only 3 1/2 months seems silly to me. You are blessed to have a husband who knows anything about cleaning. Mine will load the dishwasher, but totally ignore the counters that need wiping, lol.
Ann - How nice that you were able to find a substitute place to eat out with a great menu that allowed you and your friend to stay OP. I'm glad Donna is doing well. Too bad about Sheila. Sounds like the oil dude got things done.
Judy - I loved your food stories! What a novel way to get stocked up. Enjoy your time with family and spoil that grandson!

Good morning all. Happy Saturday and don't forget to 'spring ahead' Today I shall continue to plan track hydrate and move. Hopefully the wind won't be as bad as it got yesterday making the outdoor walk more enjoyable. We shall see. Pam sounds like you had a full day yesterday and another one on tap today as well. Enjoy the plant sale today. Being up .5 isn't bad. I know you will have that gone in no time. Waving...and will CBL

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Saturday!! We went to a Girls' District Basketball game last night which we enjoyed very much. DH's VBF is the score-keeper and invited us. It was a 6 p.m. game so we went to supper together afterward. We haven't seen as much of each other recently so it was a great idea!!
Ann ~ We almost forgot about Lent and the lines at seafood places. DH's VBF had suggested Red Lobster for dinner but I remembered going there other years on Friday night during Lent and the line being out the door. So we opted for Mr. B's and DH had perch and I had cod & chips. YUM!!
Pam ~ You were right, I didn't read your post until the morning, but it certainly was nice to open up the Cafe and find you had already been here!! You certainly keepbusy. So sorry for your losses.
I have had breakfast and started some laundry and now am headed out to my first yoga class at my new gym. I am excited to see it and get established there as I think it will be very good for me.
BBL. Make a great day!!

Good Morning all! Sue - I hope you enjoy the yoga class. I really like it and am glad I stuck with it even though I felt so inept at the beginning. I had a wonderful instructor at the time who kept reminding us that we weren't in competition and stressed just trying to get a little better at each class--a little closer to touching our toes, a little further in stretches, a little better at balancing. And I quickly realized that no one other than the instructor was watching me. Everyone else is too busy doing their own thing. Ann - I will adopt your "plan, track, hydrate and move" for today. One day at a time, right? DH and I are back from the plant sale. He found all the tomato, eggplant and pepper plants, both green and hot, that he wanted. I bought some coleus for a shady flower bed, pentas, geranium and one other green striped plant whose name I don't recall. They were in 8 inch pots for $2 each, except the pentas which was $3. A huge bargain compared to Walmart's Bonne Bell plants. Nothing much on the agenda after the funeral at 11:00. I need to get a walk in and listen to more of my book before it gets repossessed by the library. Dinner will be white beans with ham, rice and fresh mustard greens. It looks like we are in for a major warm up, with temps in the 80's this week. I guess we're going to skip spring and go straight to summer. Have a great OP day!

It's almost afternoon here. This day is going by much too quickly. I've already cleaned bathrooms swept the floors and dusted. Not enough laundry to bother with so I'll leave that. My veggie bean soup is in the crock pot and already been on one short hood walk. Pam sounds like you and DH scored some great plan deals. I've always admired folks with a green thumb. I'm not much into gardening except to walk or drive by and take in the beauty. I hear you on listening to the book before it poofs away. Also sorry for you loss. Your dinner sounds good. We don't have many 'spring days' either. We do enjoy them when they come. I aim for PTMH (plan track move and hydrate) every day. Some days I ace and other I fall behind. Oh well...such is life. Sue I hope you enjoy our yoga class. A win win enjoying the basketball game and getting together with your friends for a meal after. Bet it was fun to play catch up. Time for me to get a move on.

Pam ~ Thanks for the encouragement about the yoga class. I was able to do most of the poses, plus our instructor offered options and definitely was not judging anyone. Though I had attended Silver Sneakers Yoga, this was much more in every way! This was a "Yoga Flow" class and not terribly strenuous. I was surprised how much less balance I have, so it will be good for me to start re-establishing it. The stretching was wonderful for me!
I really did enjoy the class and plan to go most Saturdays. This coming Tuesday there is a "Fit & Fabulous Level 1" that I want to try since we don't have school on Tuesday due to the election. Then I won't get to it again until Spring Break the first week of April. There are 3 levels of F&F so as I get better (ha-ha) I can move up. There is a Pilates class on Sunday morning that I may look into as well soon.
We have beautiful sunshine today and 35 dg but with a predicted high in the mid-40's. Tomorrow they are promising almost 60, so maybe I'll get out for a walk?? My back feels so much better since the yoga that I don't cringe at the thought of walking.
I have this whole day free since DH is out at his VBF's house putting rear brakes on his truck so nothing is going on until he gets home later. May be a good day to get my book out. I haven't picked it up in so long that I will have to remind myself what it is about.
Ann ~ I was glad that you related to my DH's suggestion to keep a can of Clorox wipes out & handy in the bathroom. I guess "out of sight, out of mind" was his problem too. Whatever .... it is working. Hope you get a good walk in today.
BBL.

So happy you enjoyed the yoga class Sue. I'm sure you'll be moving right along at your own pace. Nice the instructor is non judgmental. Your DH and I are on the same Clorox page. I even caught Carl using them after he left the bathroom. I took a walk. I must say that sunshine is very deceiving. The wind makes it feel much colder. I too am going to open the kindle and listen to meditation music via Alexa. Enjoy the rest of your day.

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Sunday! Also, happy Daylight Saving Time! Did everyone remember to change their clocks? We did ours last night - except I forgot the one in the hallway that runs our thermostat, so the furnace didn't kick up at the expected time this morning <LOL> Ah, well, everything else is done. I even changed the time on the Casio watch I bought for school a while back. It is a real bear to set as I really don't understand it but I did it during the day yesterday and got it over with.
Great news at our house, DH called me in the middle of the afternoon and his brake job was ALL DONE! It has been our experience that things like that usually take much longer than anticipated - but this was the exception. They got it done quickly and easily! That left plenty of time to play with the Boxer contingent, including the six remaining puppies which are near 2 months old. Then he got done in time to spend some extra time with me. Yay!!
Ann ~ Glad you slept well. I did as well and woke refreshed. Night before last, I stayed up later than usual and felt a bit tired all day yesterday but made it without napping. If I find a corned beef I think I will cook it in my Instant Pot. But since we usually go to DH's VBF's restaurant for St. Patty's Day we eat it there, bring home leftovers, and the next week their cook makes Corned Beef & Cabbage soup with all the leftovers, and we have that and then we're about done.
We have 40 dg already this morning but it only feels like 35. I am still looking forward to that warm up this afternoon. We even have some warmer days coming this week (though there will be rain). We'll take the warm-up no matter what comes with it.
Today we have had blueberry oatmeal for breakfast and will be going out for lunch. We are planning to have salads tonight with Tyson Herbed Chicken strips and Bolthouse dressing. I have tracked my breakfast and dinner and have plenty of SP leftover.
I have been folding and packing away polar fleece tops today as I don't plan to wear them again this year. I will do it in stages, freeing up that room for capris when the time comes. I am so glad I have ample blue plastic totes downstairs to put all these in - out of sight, out of mind (in a good way).
BBL. Make a great day!!
