Linda thanks for the recommendation of "Line of Duty" find it interesting - for me it is so much about the acting.
I saw a movie on Prime this past week with Annette Benning - she was really fabulous. Now I can't remember the name of it. Will post again when I check for the name

I pulled the plug on Mr. Mayor. I tried, but it was just too stupid. Me too It is hard for me to get into sit coms. I like Blackish because it seems to be more well written but I really don't like many others. |

I think back to the comedies I did like: Cheers, Frasier, Mary Tyler Moore, Rhoda.....and I'm sure there were more. But none in the past few years. I guess The Good Place was supposed to be good, both of my daughters really liked it, so maybe I didn't give it enough of a chance. |

I guess The Good Place was supposed to be good I gave up on that one also. I liked your list of the early sitcoms and I thought they were superior to what we have today. We never watched The Big Bang Theory when it came out (it might have been opposite another show we watched) but I've been taping the reruns. They are on 5 times a day in our area. We have watched many of the episodes and find them hilarious. It helps that we can zip through the 30-minute show, missing the commercials. The characters are well written and I can see now why the show was so popular. I've tried to get into Schitt's Creek (now on reruns here) and I still don't see the humor. Maybe I should give them more time. |

Call me Kat and The Mayor are just bad lol. Caught up on the Rookie yesterday, they're doing a good job with current events BUT no covid? Kind of a weird omission. We watched " 1917" and it was stressful lol - but in a good way. I watched The Turning and I was left with more questions than answers. I hate movies that just sort of trail off and don't actually have an ending Magnum PI is about the same, watchable with some really good moments. The Blacklist is back this coming Friday and I'm kind of getting tired of Elizabeth and her "I love you, I hate you" back and forth.

getting tired of Elizabeth I agree 100%. That story line is getting old, plus, her character is a very inept FBI agent. I love James Slater but I bet he is tired of this show too! |

jamescat1, DH and I watched "Lupin" last night on Netflix. It was very good and now I want to know when season 2 will happen. Season 1 left us hanging!
