Episode 2 of Walker: a bit better, but way too much overuse of "flashbacks" - I hope they get past that soon. ^ this, and when are they going to start with the martial arts already?! At this rate they could have just called the show Joe Blow, Texas Ranger, because the similarities to everything that made Walker, Texas Ranger so fabulous just aren't there, at all.

If you have MBO Max, The Little Things was a big disappointment given the cast, Denzel, Rami Malek and Jared Leto. It was worth watching strictly for Jared Leto's turn, so creepy and scary.

There is a new Netflix movie, The Dig, starring Ralph Fiennes. Anyone seen it? It is based on a true story which I saw recently on TV. The Dig

Long before the series began I read that the only similarity to the original Walker was going to be his name. I had no expectations other than to watch Jared. Iβm pretty much ok with how itβs going, even though only 2 episodes in. I donβt mind the flashbacks either, they get him all tears eyed.

I just caught a trailer for this one on HBO and it looks interesting. "Jenny" from Outlander stars in it, and lots of big name stars: The Nevers

Just started "The Long Song" on PBS. It's about the end of slavery in Jamaica. So far, really enjoying it. Only three episodes.

I enjoyed the Dig also, although it wasn't entirely accurate, specifically the love interest story of Peggy Piggott and Rory Lomax. There are some you tube videos of Sutton Hoo that show some of the treasures they found and they are beautiful pieces of history.

We watched Resident Alien on syfy and it's probably a no. We both like Alan Tudyk but the acting is so bad lol I have just seen the pilot episode so far. Will keep watching to see if it gets better. π€ Actually it was just because of the last 5 minutes that has me curious enough to keep watching.

I'm curious to see what you all think about Resident Alien after a few episodes. It looks dumb, but I haven't seen it.
I guess I need to try it.

So agree on this! My cousin and I normally go to the movies and wanted to see this. So glad we just watched it on HBOMax, cause it isn't worth movie theatre costs.

I watched 4 Sundance movies yesterday, CODA. Hive, Homeroom, and Summer of Soul about the Harlem Cultural Festival of 1969 which occurred the same time as Woodstock. I know Apple has picked up the rights to CODA. They were all excellent. Last night on Prime I saw Blackbird with Susan Sarandon.

I watched some more of Discovery of Witches last night- I have the whole first season recorded.
It is getting much better! But it took 6 episodes to set the background and the story up, which was a little slow for me. Now that it's all put together I think I'll enjoy it.
