I bet it would make a lot of people happy if they updated the app and site to be able to import recipes from a link, like MFP and other sites have had for years. 100% I've been wanting this for years. I would also like the ability to rate and review recipes.

When I was a WW employee, if we announced there was going to be a program change, members would quit coming to the meetings. Some never came back.

On the age thing - I would be very surprised if the points for a food were based upon height, age, or weight. What would make sense is that those things factor into how many points you get. I do think that WW wants to tie us more to their program and not make it easy to follow WW just by using a points calculator from a web site. I doubt that people will have to specifically have a SmartPhone. However, I could see requiring internet access to fully use the plan. I confess that even though I have a smartphone I very rarely use the app. And, I use my smartphone all the time. I just find it easier to use WW on my computer. I use the app and the computer. I prefer the PC, and I do find it annoying that they can be very different! I can't track water intake on the PC as I do on the app. You can't set a lot of your settings on the PC either... I never have found a way to post on Connect on the PC (just on the app). Speaking of Connect... I don't like it. I find it clumsy, difficult to find the types of posts I'm looking for... I just don't like it. I do use it a bit -- but there is a reason I'm here! I feel like I can not only discover topics of interest easily but also get to be a part of a community more than on Connect, too. I just don't much like it!

I've seen many people say they are going to quit if things change. That sure seems counterintuitive to me! After all you are here to either lose weight or learn to eat in a healthy manner. If you quit because of changes you are just "cutting off your nose to spite your face." If WW does make the system more tech oriented they should support non-tech savvy users with classes on the tech or even a helper in the meeting who can do it for them... They may have run the demographics and the cost of those non-tech users may cost more to keep than to lose...

If WW does make the system more tech oriented they should support non-tech savvy users with classes on the tech If WW is going to make the system more tech oriented, they have only to look what happened when communities tried to implement Non-Traditional Instruction last year. 1. They realized that many, many households did not have a computer, so they distributed devices to everyone. 2. After everyone had a device, they realized that not everyone had access to a wifi hot-spot. 3. After hot-spots were set up in more places, they realized that non-tech-savvy users had no clue what to do with the devices after they got connected. All this before the first student could log on to the first lesson with the first teacher. Why abandon paper tracking?

The issue is ww plainly said in their financial report they want the millenials not the old members. Guess they v will have to realize the old members gave some money they can take elsewhere.

I'm almost 69, still working, use a computer 7 days a week and own a smartphone. Still prefer having the program available to me in a booklet and I like paper tracking. Just personal preference.

maryaw1028, squid, I'm tech-hesitant and it just adds a level of anxiety to the situation when I have to figure out how to do things on my smart phone. It gets better as I do it more but I'm still not real comfortable getting my info on the phone.

A member approached my leader a few weeks ago complaining that they took away the ability to pay as you go with a check at the scale. My leader felt terrible, apologized up and down. I've been going to WW over 20 years and this lady is at every meeting, sitting in the back knitting. Never used an app, always tracks on paper. I think it's awful to abandon those loyal old-fashioned members. Don't know if this means anything or not -- but I made Lifetime about 3 weeks ago. When I went into a WW location for my next meeting I brought up my QR code (like I did before Lifetime) to check in and they got upset saying I shouldn't have a QR code once I was on Lifetime. They even called support who basically said "don't worry about it." I just renewed Lifetime for the first time since getting on it and the QR code is still there. Wonder if that has something to do with the plan changes? I have been back at Lifetime status for about a year. I did not get a number (used to have membership numbers) nor is there anything on my phone to be scanned in at the meetings. At least I do not think so, I have not looked lately. The guide (receptionist) just looks me up on her tablet. So, maybe the QR code for Lifetime members is something new.

lizzy, shragae, About Connect - I wish I could fully access it on my computer. When I want to do something there I do it on phone or iPad. I do have an external keyboard for them so it is easy to do. One reason I rarely go to Connect is that you can't search by word. You can search by hashtag but many things are discussed but not hashtagged. So if I am looking for specific topics there is not really an easy way to find them. ladymajky, I think there is one difference between WW and some people (particularly parents) who were forced into distance stuff. Many people can't afford home internet or a computer or smartphone and so on. But with WW it is different. I would expect that your average WW member can afford some form of internet access or else they wouldn't be WW members since it is a paid program. I do understand some people enjoying tracking on paper. While I don't track on paper I do track a lot of stats in a spreadsheet. So I understand that. And if you want to track on paper I think people can. They just need to use an app or the website to calculate their points.

I do not have an issue with using the app and quite like the ease of use, but I do understand that some people like to do things on paper (even millennials). I still use a paper personal planner even though a lot of people keep their appointments and to-dos using their phones/tablets. There is just something about putting it to paper for some of us.

I don't think Connect was designed to be accessed on a computer. Has to be a mobile device.

I can access connect on my computer, but it's clunky to navigate.
