Hereās the WW theme for October: This month, weāre digging into a hot topic: How what you eat and drink affects not just your weight loss but also your healthāand how you feel. Thereās so much to unpack (lots of eye-openers!), but letās start small. This week, take a moment to complete the two steps above before you eat. Theyāll help you become more in tune with your eating patterns. āGet to Know Your Eating Patterns.ā www.weightwatchers.com/us/m/cms/article/get-know-your-eating-patternsAnd the recipe cards:

Good Morning!!
I added 7 miles Fri- Sun. I had 3 days of overeating with snacks. Meals planned for today. Not sure what caused the want to snack.
Our visit with my sister was nice. She actually appropriately answered a few questions. It was nice to hear her voice.
Amy: Sorry about your tripping. Hope your foot is feeling better. Sorry about all your leaders quitting. Our studio is now in a hotel conference room and only has meetings on Wed and Sat.
Cait: Great job on your continued streak with your HHs and miles. Good job getting in your PT exercises, too. As far as the Moderna vaccine 3rd, people with immune compromised systems and cancer patients are eligible for the 3rd dose. The booster for 3rd dose of Moderna should be coming soon. My husband had the Moderana.
Carol: Good job on your walking. Hope you enjoy your beach trip.
Waving to all. Happy walking!!

Good Morning Challengers
Yesterday I did all 6 of my main HHs, stayed in my š zone of pts.
My āKISSā HHs (Keep it Simple and Specific) - Avoid salted snacks: š - JGTB: š
1 microhabit: - āNo seconds with snackā: š
Yesterday we walked 3.6 mi for breakfast. I did my floor PT 25 mins. I spent time out on the patio, DH watched baseball. I got a little work done.
Beck Tip of the day: Monday Motivation: Thereās a difference between things that areĀ really hardĀ and things that are impossible. If you feel daunted by the prospect of losing and maintaining weight, remind yourself that it is a matter of learning and practicing (over and over again) necessary skills. Itās hard, but itās so worth it! Whatās one thing youāre doing this week to support your efforts? KELLY - So nice your Sis was able to talk with you a bit. GFY 7 mi Fri - Sun and getting back to planned meals. Yes that snacking āI wantā can take over if it gets a foothold š§. For me itās an old habit that is easy to go back to. It was my main āgo-toā treatment for any uncomfortable or unsettled feelings, from boredom to sadness to celebration, post-event letdown, anxiety, fear, resentment, entitlement.
Be well and take care, for ourselves, and for each other.

MONDAY, MONDAY!
KELLY -- I'm glad you had a nice visit with your sister.{{{hugs}}} Good job getting all those miles in, in spite of your not-so-great eating choices. I tried a couple of times to read an article about the difference between a "3rd shot" and a "booster." I finally had to give up! I'm scheduled for my Pfizer booster this week.
AMY -- I know you enjoyed actually going to WW; I hope you can find an in-person site that is convenient.
CAIT -- You're doing so, so well with your HHs! (applause). I'm glad you're having good results from your PT.
Well, the walk about did me in! I think I'll limit my walking on this trip. Moseying on the sand sounds like a better idea! I went to water classes Sunday and today, and I stretched.

Yesterday we walked 2.1 mi before breakfast.
We had wind, thunder, lightning and some rain last night. Pretty unusual here. Itās beautiful out this am.
Beck Tip of the day: Tuesday Reality Check: The next time you know you have a stressful situation coming up (like a doctorās appointment for yourself or a loved one), ask yourself: how will I get through this without eating? Make a plan in advance for the ways you will deal with stress andĀ anxietyĀ so you donāt end up turning to food.Ā AMY - Hope your foot heals fast
KELLY - GFY OP and 3 mi. Yes Iām really feeling good with this consistent healthy eating. Trying to focus on one day at a time.
CAROL - Thanks for the šš. Iām grateful Iāve been able to stick to my plan. I feel so much better when I do. The PT makes a difference for my knees. Sorry the walk was too hard on your back but itās great you have the water workouts that you enjoy. The trip sounds like it will be great fun.
Be well and take care, for ourselves, and for each other.

Beck Tip of the day: Wednesday Sabotage: Gaining control of my eating/losing weightĀ shouldnātĀ be this hard. Response: Itās supposed to get hard from time to time. It gets (temporarily) harder for everyone. Remember how hard it used to be?Ā ItāsĀ easier today than it was a year ago, and it will be a lot easier a year from today, as long as I keep practicing my skills and donāt give up.Ā Ā CAROL - you inspire me with the stretching š
KELLY - GFY 3 mi and OP
