Good Morning!!!
The munchies continued yesterday. I did do a 2 mile WATP last evening. Thanks for the support. This is the 4th sibling he lost. One died as a baby. He had a brother pass quite awhile ago to lung cancer and he never smoked. Now he has lost 2 sisters in less than 10 years due to cancer but both were smokers. All so young.
Amy: Hope you get everything straightened out with WW.
Yetta: Sounds like a busy weekend. It amazing how our muscles get sore when we use muscles we do not use all the time or in that capacity.
Waving to all and Happy Walking!!!
Miles: WATP/Exercise miles: 191 miles and Fitbit miles: 277.61 miles

Good Morning!!!
I am having a bad week. Stress at work, the death, oldest DS flying in Saturday evening, and then my youngest DS graduation next week with his 2 Masters degrees from Columbia University. Also have a Birthday party Sunday afternoon. I did march in place for 2 miles while watching the Voice.
Waving to all and hoping everyone is well.

Kelly I am sorry you are going through so much right now. Be sure to take care of yourself.
I push mowed and cut the hedge late yesterday afternoon. 1 and half hours. So I am counting those as miles, I just didn’t feel like doing the elliptical after that, I was worn out. Have weedeating to do today. The lawn has suffered because of the attention I have been giving the veggie gardens.
Waves to all that follow

Thanks for all the well wishes, everyone. Had a great trip with my sisters and got a lot of walking in BUT my cold actually worsened. I got laryngitis! You don't need the other gory details, so I'll just add my 16.5 miles.
58 is 'way too young, no question!
Amy, hope you get squared away with WW.
Cait, I enjoyed the first season of Homefires on Netflix. Looking forward to when the new season shows up.
Yetta, that gardening exercise kind of sneaks up on you! Be careful.
Ruth, I will check out Louise Hay. I always need some inspiration!
144.5/250 miles 1583 stairs 280 stretching (0 during sister-trip) 😕

I was busy yesterday and did not get time to post. Big gain but no surprise since my eating has been poor the past 2 weeks. I did add 2 miles of WATPs on Wednesday and Thursday.
Yetta: Lawn work is definitely good exercise.
Carol: I sure hope you feel better soon.
Waving to all. Happy Walking and sending skinny vibes!!

Good Afternoon Walkers!
I apologize for being absent. Just busy with work, vegging out and not feeling motivated. Same old problems with evening eating after dinner and staying up late watching TV. I feel really yucky, heavy and unhappy with myself.
But this am we walked along the river road 2 miles and after lunch I made beans & rice for our fridge stash and while it was cooking I set up & did our old Nordic Track (legs only) while reading 30 mins = 1.5 Miles. I haven't done NT in years. It was just in a corner of the guest room gathering dust. I've been thinking of doing it for a few days. It's definitely more effort than marching in place. Gotta be good for me.
Aiming for green zone of pts and JGTB.
We return to SoCal next Saturday. Have been home 1 month. We've actually been more productive here than usual but I still have a lot of office work to do.
KELLY - sending prayers for your DH and family. Commiserating with you in the snacking. Congrats and good wishes for your DS grad & 2 Masters! Wow!
YETTA - how nice you did the flowers for Mom & Dad. I sent Mom a card & flowers for Mother's Day and we had a nice phone chat the other day. You are so right about the night eating. I just haven't been willing to stop :-(
CAROL - glad you enjoyed the sister trip. Hope the virus resolves soon.
AMY - I hope you get the WW subscription fixed easily. GFY with the TM & Whoo hoo for you with the 3.4 lbs lost @ WW.
RUTH - my Mom liked Hay House and I went with her to some seminars in the past.
Waving at everyone! Have a great day!

I did get the WW squared away. But I did not get a letter from a doctor to be 165 goal. But I need not worry because that is some time in the future. I will weigh Saturdays. I go with Russ's niece. I gained but feel positive. i am a vegetarian. I ate fish at Russ's birthday party. but I felt really bad after that. I am going to bring vegetarian chile to dinners with russ family to heat up there. I did that Thursday night. I get the vegetarian chile from nutrisystem. I have trouble with how hot chile is. But their's goes down well. It is preeicy but I can budget it because my grocery budget is lower. I have to add exercise in. I had trouble with sleep and it left me too tired to walk on the treadmill or ride the bike inside. i walk outside too but it iw getting too hot. My asthma outside is bad. I am giving myself 42 points a day when I track. What I eatcomes to 43 points but 1563 calories a day. I give me weekly 28 a week. It works for me when I follow it. I have 6 days till I weigh in. Saturday I did not do well. Thus I changed my plan to et my favorite foods. i do not like to cook. So only the toaster and microwaveve will be used. I hope this finally works.

Good Morning Walkers! Yesterday 3.5 Miles between walk & Nordic Track, green zone of pts & JGTB. It's been a while since I've done that. Got some office work done also. Aiming for the same Today. I'm marching in place out on the deck as I'm posting this. It's a cool 39F out but sunny and gorgeous. Happy Mother's Day to Mothers and their children I'll call Mom today. Flowers should be delivered today. AMY - Glad the WW is straightened out and you're continuing to work on your healthy eating plan. Waving at everyone! Have a great day! Cait

Cait, as a cross-country skier, I am all in favor of Nordic Track! GFY! I used to use a x-c machine at the gym, which I called "the sweating machine," for obvious reasons!
Amy, keep working til you find just the combo that's right for you.
DH and I walked on a tour of restored historic homes today, so I got in 4 miles and at least 100 stairs. I'm also adding my 100 "laundry stairs."

Good Afternoon Walkers!
Still struggling with my staying up late and eating - stayed up last night and ate DH's popcorn but at least it was in my orange zone of pts, not higher. Goo news is I did 3.5 miles on Sat & 6 miles on Sunday so I finished last week with 12.5 miles for the week despite 4 days of 0 exercise. If it weren't for that goal of averaging 2 miles per day, 13 miles per week, 50 miles per month, I probably wouldn't get any exercise at all. I have 34.5 miles for the month so far, 113.1 for the 5 month challenge that started March 1 and ends Aug 1, and 216.7 miles for the year.
Last night I marched in place 1 hour = 3 miles and am aiming for my green zone of pts, preferably 30 pts or fewer, and JGTB around 10 pm but no later than 11 pm.
I've noticed that a major trigger for me is OPE and OPD - "Other People Eating" and "Other People Drinking." I've tried the past few nights to not have an evening snack, but DH has one, and I have a lot of difficulty ignoring it and just sticking with my prayers & my mindfulness that tell me I'm full and I don't need more food. And then he goes to bed and my other major triggers kick in - habit eating and staying up late and eating.
I'm trying to get a lot of work done before we leave this Saturday for SoCal for a month or so. My brother will be visiting SoCal next week from FL.
My sis had knee replacement today and so far so good. She had previous injuries, scar tissue, and plate & screws in that knee, as well as arthritis, so it was supposed to be a complicated surgery, but the doc said it went well.
CAROL - I've always wanted to XC ski but never got around to it and now not sure it's a good idea to try after 2 hip replacements, but that NT is definitely a sweating machine for me. It's an old wooden NT. I may need to put something on the floor under it.
Waving at everyone! Have a great day!

Wow, I've been out of it too, seems like. I went to AquaFit Monday and Wednesday (4) and will go again this afternoon, so I'll add 6 miles altogether. No stairs or stretching to speak of. 154.5/250 1783 stairs 280 stretching Since it has been two weeks of coughing and "full head" for me, I went to the PA yesterday. Fever? no. Headache? no. Sinus problems? no. After a good look and listen, he said my lungs sound pretty good (really???), and it's probably allergies! I've been taking the same allergy pill (generic Claritin) for so long it's probably not working, so he prescribed a nasal spray, suggested I change to Allegra, and suggested a good cough medicine so I can sleep. Good news all around! I was starting to wonder why no one else around me was catching it!

Carol I have asthma and figuring out what to do is hard. Cait I do 10000 steps as a goal and work to get that. But this week 5000. I finally figured out a plan to eat. I printed it with portions and points and added calories. And put it in plastic. I feel this is balanced and emphasizes protein and less fat.but includes 2 tablespoons of peanut butter. I added back tunafish. protein from chocolate smoothies too from WW. I am budgeting them in.If I start eating this way I;ll get back to 10000 steps by helping it with treadmill.

Good Morning!!!
Sorry to be MIA. I was busy with family and in NJ and NYC on Monday and Tuesday for my youngest DS graduation from the Teachers College at Columbia University. I also received sad news a good friend passed away early Monday am unexpectedly. She was only 48. She had been involved in a hit and run on Mother's day and said she was ok. Her husband found her unresponsive Monday morning when he woke up. Viewing is later today. My DH also had a pacemaker placed yesterday due to a slow heartbeat. Going into work for a few hours today. My eating has been on the run not the best but not terrible either. Miles a little lower than usual.
Amy: Glad you are working out your daily intake and getting the exercise in.
Cait: Good job getting in those miles. Sorry about the late night eating. I have been doing better with that.
Ruth: Great job with your miles.
Carol: Hope you are starting to feel better. Allergies are really bad this year.
Waving to all. Happy Walking.
Miles: WATP/Exercise miles: 208 miles and Fitbit miles: 304.64

Good Morning Walkers! We left this am for 13 hour drive from home in N CA to alt home in SoCal. We had an unusually productive month at home. Good For Us! I marched in place 1 hr = 3 Miles last night while watching tv, have 12 miles for the week so far, did Nordic Track a few days for 20 mins = 1 mile, plus marching, and green zone of pts past 2 days. It only took all month to get back on track with eating but at least I got there. At least I'm still working it. Night eating was not a problem the past 2 nights thank you God. KELLY - so sorry about your friend. That's shocking. Tragic. And having that sadness amid the joy re DS grad and the stress re DH pacemaker. Sheesh. Hang in there GF. AMY - glad you're finding your balance re food and exercise. The more routine and structured my eating the better I do with planned meals and snack. I have balance of beans, whole grains, vegs, fruit and a little nuts. RUTH - GFY keeping up the exercise despite your busy schedule CAROL - GFY with the aquafit along with other exercise. Glad you have a new approach to the allergies. I also have an allergy regimen of long standing recommended by my doctor - OTC phenylephrine HCl 10 mg decongestant each am & OTC loratadine 10 mg each pm. If I have flareup I take an extra. I used to use the nasal spray but haven't in a long time. I do use OTC saline nasal spray am & pm. Just drove past beautiful Mt Shasta Waving at everyone! Have a great day! Cait
