I echo the sentiments about management--it can be so frustrating!
Tracking is known to be effective, but I am extra lazy about it. GFY for being diligent, Cait, and GFY Ruth, for keeping after it!
Sounds like people are on track! Yetta, "not much" is still better than eating a cheeseburger!
Ruth, I'm planning to retire in 2020 at the latest--have to count the months. Counting....counting....36 months! Gotta get DH to Medicare! Maybe I can cut back to part time before that.π€ There's so much to figure out!
Now, to catch up: yesterday I got in 1.25 miles of campus walking and 15 minutes stretching. Today I walked up 110 stairs, stretched for 15 minutes, went to AquaFit (2 miles) and swam a few laps. I'm counting 1 mile for the laps because I swam 20 minutes. To actually swim a mile takes me about 50 minutes!

i have not done well with eating. Returning to simply filing today again. I developed a budget wise plan and filling plan. 6 meals. i feel better to do simply filling. Then I can do WATP treadmill and bike incorporating it in my steps and maybe I can get miles in on the exercise again. It is a stationary bike. i am lucky to have the equipment. Vegetarian budget wise simply filling.

Good morning, quick post before yoga. I pulled my back a little yesterday, it was sort of giving me trouble before that, my left foot hurts like it is burnt so I am pretty sure that is a back nerve thing.
Cait, GFY with the healthy snacks in the car. For some reason when I travel I feel the need for candy...
Carol, I get the medicare thing completely!!!! We will be a little short and have to buy insurance for a bit.
Amy, simply filling would be great.

Good Morning!!!
I had a better day yesterday it was not quite as hectic. My eating was better but I did have a cocktail when the DH and I went out for supper to support the make a wish foundation. I added 2 miles of exercise. I need to get back to my morning short 10-15 minute DVD to get me moving.
Thanks for the support regarding management. Part of the problem in a medical office is the management is nonclinical other than our new Clinical Coordinator who just started last week and is completely new to our Company so he knows nothing. I know in my college courses I have taken for HealthCare management it advises that it is very important to KNOW what your staff has to do to complete their job and the time it actually takes to do such.
You ladies are lucky I have 19 years to retire unless they increase the retirement age again.
Cait: Good job on your green zone, JGTB, the PT session, and choosing the broccoli and hummus over the junk food.
Ruth: Ouch, hope the back improves. Sounds nerve related with the burning.
Carol: Great job with the exercise. You are right there is so much to consider when you are close to retirement. Whatever you do get a good supplemental plan in addition to Medicare.
Amy: Hope you can figure out a plan that works well for you as far as what and how you are eating. Good job getting the different exercise in.
Waving to all. Happy Walking!!

Good Morning Walkers!
Yesterday 3 mi am doing PT & 3 mi evening marching in place while watching TV. Green zone of pts and I did JGTB. Evening snack was only my planned 3 pts popcorn 1 tsp pumpkin seeds & fruit. Feels so good.
This am I did the sitting and standing part of PT - half hour I will count as 1 mile. The floor part takes about 45 mins so I will compromise and do that another time. DH is up now so I'm having coffee with him. Then to work.
I'm a little sore from yesterday's PT but not bad.
RUTH - hope the back pain resolves soon
KELLY - one of these days you'll be such a good supervisor.
CAROL - GFY walking, stairs, stretching, Aquafit. Such a good balanced activity plan. GFY planning for retirement.
AMY - I'm glad you're not giving up, persevering, back to simply filling and modest exercise plan. You've done well with SF.
Waving at everyone! Have a great day!

Adding 2 miles. We took my Great Aunt out for lunch for her 96th birthday today. Nothing fancy, Cracker Barrel. She is in a rest home (not well enough to be in assisted living) she still lived at home until a little over a year ago. I just canβt imagine being 96. I have known very few people over 90. Great Grand Mother was 102 though (my aunts mother)
Cait, GFY on sticking with your planned nightly snack and getting back to your PT for your hips.
Amy, I still do the very old points system (back from 1999) So glad that you are getting back to simply filling which worked for you in the past.
Carol, I am kind of planning on retirement. I am only 58. They offered early retirement a few years back to a lot of employees but I turned it down. I reached 40 years of service last fall and I still love my job and they still need me, so that is good. I still track but more in my head than on paper. If I start to gain, I go online to Loseit.com and track there for a couple weeks. Potion sizes have always been my problem, so I have to be honest with myself.
Ruth, hope the back pain is better, that does sound like nerve pain so be careful.
Kelly, great on being consistent with your 2 or more miles a day. Wish some of that would rub off on me.
27/250 Bye for now.

Hey Cait. I also drink tab water but I do have a brita pitcher that I have used for a number of years. Too much wasted plastic even if you recycle. Water is my drink of choice so I can be picky about the taste. Never drank cokes or sweet tea, very little coffee.

I'm a tap water girl, too! The thought of all those plastic bottles makes me cringe! We found some good dishwasher-friendly "go cups" that are good for coffee or whatever, so we take those in to coffee houses on the road, too. Sometimes, surprise, surprise, the coffee is free if you bring in your own "go cup."
Ruth, careful with your back/foot!
My mom lived to be 100.5, Yetta, so I need to plan on a loooonnnggg retirement!
AquaFit today, and I'll walk tomorrow.
Have a good Memorial DAy, everyone!

Good Morning!!!
I did a 2 mile DVD last evening. Work was not too bad. Back to my usual office today, but have to be there an hour early for a meeting. I usually drink tap water which is my filtered well water that tested better than local drinking water. I have a few plastic bottles but refill to take to work. I recycle though. The water at work is gross. I do need to drink more been a little lax lately.
Waving to the whole gang. TGIF!! Have a great day.

Good morning. I have well water.... it is irony... I use bottled water, the 6 gallons that gets delivered to my house. I bought a brita filter for the camper so I don['t have to use gallon jugs in there.
My foot feels better but my back is sore. I was going to go outdoor climbing today but I am happy that was cancelled, I think I will also skip indoor climbing too.
Kelly, it is reallly frustrating but you will get thru it at work. Everything that happens to us in life makes us stronger people, you will carry this with you as a supervisor and it will add to your skills.
Cait, I'm always so impressed with your dedication to working out!!!
Yetta, wow 96 and going out to lunch is FANTASTIC!!! Good for her!!
Carol, I'm with youu... planning on hanging around for awhile and being healthy
Amy, sorry the simply filling didn't work out.

Good Morning!!!
Sorry to be MIA but working on a computer all week I like to take a break from sitting in front of one on the weekends. It was a nice weekend and actually was able to relax some too. I got in some DVDs, stepping in place, and a short walk on Sunday which was basically a day of rest.
My coworker and I actually had a nice meeting with the new Clinical Coordinator and the Practice Manager on Friday. I let them know what we all actually do and advised it is too much for one person to do alone. Moving forward one of the medical assistants will help when we are off or helping room patients in the other office.
Amy: Hope you got some sleep and the WW meeting went well.
Ruth: Our well was irony but our water system took care of it so no bad taste. Hope the back is feeling better.
Waving to all and sending skinny vibes. Happy Walking!!
