Good Morning Challengers
Yesterday I did all 6 of my main HHs, ate above my ๐ zone of pts. I had 3 meals, 0 snack, used 20 pts. We walked 2.2 mi after Sis left.
Jan HH Challenge: - Evening: Snack on Inspo; Read quotes, whys and goals ๐
My โKISSโ HHs (Keep it Simple and Specific) yesterday: - Do at least 10 mins of PT: N - Avoid salted snacks: ๐ - No โsecondsโ with snack: N - No eating out of a container: ๐ - Limit phone after 9 pm: ๐ - JGTB (Just Go To Bed) around 10 - 11 pm: ๐
Our walk yesterday was in the rain. I spent the rest of the day trying to finish a book before my library loan expired - made progress but alas, didnโt finish.
KELLY - GFY with the 2 mi WATP. Do you do them online or DVDs? Birthday wishes for Ricky to you today. Iโm so glad you have the happy thoughts for him today for his Ravens. ๐ค๐ And Iโm so glad you can be there for Leroy. Having all these appts would be draining for someone alone.
Be well, and take care, for ourselves and for each other.

Good Morning!!
Added 2 miles yesterday while watching a movie last night.
Leroy's appointments yesterday went well.
Orthopedic appointment this morning was a waste of time should not have been scheduled that soon. Leroy even questioned it with the staff member that told him to still come twice.
Go to see the Retina Dr after lunch.
Cait: Great job on a good day. Were you able to renew the loan?
Waving to all!! Happy Walking!!

Good Morning Challengers
Yesterday I did all 6 of my main HHs, ate in my ๐ zone of pts. I had 3 meals, 0 snack, used 22 pts. We walked 2.2 mi before lunch. I did 13 mins of PT exercises before dinner ๐ฅณ.
Jan HH Challenge: - Evening: Snack on Inspo; Read quotes, whys and goals N
My โKISSโ HHs (Keep it Simple and Specific) yesterday: - Do at least 10 mins of PT: ๐ - Avoid salted snacks: ๐ - No โsecondsโ with snack: ๐ - No eating out of a container: ๐ - Limit phone after 9 pm: ๐ - JGTB (Just Go To Bed) around 10 - 11 pm: ๐
Last week I had 15.1 miles and did 30 mins of PT in 2 sessions ๐ฅณ.
It was a beautiful day for our walk yesterday. I had my semiannual rheumatologist appt and work in the am, so we walked before lunch.
KELLY - GFY with the 2 mi. Sorry you had that wasted time with the ortho appt - I can imagine how that feels, with so many things you have to do ๐ง๐ฃ๐ค. And itโs hard on Leroy getting out to these appts. No, I couldnโt renew my book loan - Iโm on the wait list. Trying to remember where I was in the plot so when I get it back Iโll still be up to speed. I have had a suspicion about who the murderer is and it seems to be going in that direction.
Be well, and take care, for ourselves and for each other.

WEDNESDAY! CAIT -- you must have an e-book that you can't renew. Our library has gone "fine-free" for book-books, at least that's how they advertise it. My librarian friend says that's not really true; once a book goes to collection (about 20 days after the due date), the patron is fined the cost of the book or the cost of sending it to collection ($10.00). (I had asked her if books were just disappearing.) Anyway, it's nice if I need a few days to finish a book-book. Good job getting back to your HHs! KELLY -- how frustrating to have wasted time going to the "too soon" appointment. Nice photos of Ricky on FB; I know you miss him! Good job with your WATP workout. Friday we are leaving for a short trip to Bentonville, Arkansas, to the Crystal Bridges Art Museum. There is an exhibit of Annie Leibovitz photography that we want to catch before it leaves. I had poo-poohed this museum for a long time because of my stereotype of Walmart and Arkansas (it was founded by Alice Walton), but it really is quite remarkable! crystalbridges.org/If you ever find yourself near NW Arkansas, this museum is well worth a visit. I finally was able to swim laps yesterday, for the first time in about 2 weeks. I thought I had forgotten my goggles & music, so I bought a new pair of goggles and swam with just my thoughts, like I had done for probably 40-45 years. Of course, after my shower as I was packing my stuff to leave I found my old goggles and music. Sheesh! Oh, well, now I have a spare pair of goggles. Water class Sunday, laps yesterday, dance video and bands today, and 3 stretch times. 105/250 miles 45/75 stretching Stretching: 2018:141; 2019:192; 2020:182; 2021:190; 2022:195; 2023:191 Jan: 15/31

Hi Challengers, I would like to rejoin you--having dropped out because I couldn't do a good job with personals. However, I REALLY need this! Carol, I went through the museum site and checked out her photos. Thanks, it was fun looking! Cait, Great job with consistency!!! Kelly, It's wonderful to see all of you forging onward day after day!!! For me yesterday: 14,605 Steps. No yoga stretches
Clair, the Therapy Dog, has had a difficult TPLO surgery on her back right leg with a PT regime to last 6 months. We are on day 69. She is to be kept in a crate or pen, on a short leash at all times when she is out of her pen, no jumping, no stairs, no playing no...... PT includes walks three times a day and a number of other exercises to build up her leg and to keep it from atrophying. She is not kept in a cage! She has a palatial accomodations and is treated lovingly like the princess she is.
For Clair yesterday: Three walks, a smidgeon of PT due to the flooded basement (skipping the particulars). I did some rethinking and shortened her walks since often she is too tired to do the PT and needs three hours to rest between walks. So I shortened the walks and put the PT exercises on the list to do just BEFORE the walking and now success will be mine!
So, if I am welcome to be back I will post my dailies and Clair's also, especially since we are doing the walking together. Tomorrow I will post that I got my stretches done! So far for Clair today: One walk, 4 PTs X 2 (so those are done!!!), fun game of Palace Ball.

Hi, Michelle! Welcome back! I immediately had to google "TPLO surgery in dogs," and even though I don't understand it, I am hopeful that she will be back to her active princess-self before too long! Don't worry about keeping up with the personals; you have plenty on your plate as it is!

Youโre definitely WELCOME BACK, {{Michelle}} Donโt fret about personals. I often just post for daily accountability, and awareness, because thatโs what I need for me. I catch up on personals when I have a chance.
CAROL - Yes a library e-book. Ebooks are almost all I read nowadays. GFY with the water class, Lap swim, dance video & band WO and stretching. Too funny about the goggles and music. Sounds like something I might do. ๐

Good Morning!!
I added a 2 mile WATP. Ended the day with less than 7000 steps. I sat a lot and read. Needed it.
Michelle: Welcome back!! You and Clair are more than welcome. No need to do personals.
Carol: Enjoy your trip to Arkansas. Awesome job on your workouts. Glad you were able to do your swimming laps.
Cait: Good job with meeting all your HHs. I am sure it felt good. Bummer about the book, I have had that happen and could put it on hold. Hope you will be able to catch up quickly when you a can loan it again.
Waving to all!! Happy Walking!!

Good Morning Challengers, Thanks for the warm welcomes back!
Cait, The pyramid theory of eating is interesting, thanks for posting it.
Carol, Your post about swimming in silence brings back fond memories of days gone by
Kelly, The amount of miles accumulated is astounding.
Yesterday: 10,157 Steps and Yoga = 100%. Clair, 3 PT walks, 4 PT exercises X 2 = 100% I decided to eat my dinner AFTER I got Yoga done. So now I either get to go to bed hungry or get my stretches done. Right now I am just doing my minimum ones and may just stay that way since they are like PT and must be done daily at this point in my senior life. Today is Clair's PT appointment. I manufactured a hill on the deck since none are handy so we took a video of her using this piece of PT equipment consisting of to Pylo boxes put together and two ramps. I'll see today if this will do for the hill PTs. One walk and one set of PTs done so far today. Hooray!!!

Good Morning Challengers
Yesterday I did all 6 of my main HHs, ate in my ๐ zone of pts. I had 3 meals, 1 snack, used 24 pts. It was raining, so we waited and walked 2.2 mi after breakfast. I did 12 mins of PT exercises before dinner ๐ฅณ.

This am weโre on our way to the desert to spend the weekend with Bro, SIL, and Sis, a 2+ hr drive. Grateful we can be together, especially after losing our cousin. Our 3 full first cousins on our Momโs side were all younger than us, and now only one is living. We have 2 half first cousins on our Dadโs side, but we donโt know them well.
MICHELLE - Yay, you and Clair, ๐ฏ๐ฏ! You both have pretty demanding routines - itโs impressive you get it all in.
KELLY - GFY with the 2 mi. I love that you and Leroy can catch up on Christmas get-together, now that things have somewhat stabilized. Your weekend events are like life - the sadness, joy, memories, new lives, gratitude, celebrating what has passed, and what is to come. ๐ค๐
Be well, and take care, for ourselves and for each other.

Good Evening Challengers!
Cait, Thanks for posting that wonderful picture---74 degrees is perfect weather. Great job getting your miles in.
Kelly, Your consistency is awesome!
Yesterday - Thursday 13,582 Steps and Yoga = 100% for me. Clair can't get everything in on the days she has appointments so she did get her three walks and 4PT X 1. This is tell a 100% day for her since the traveling on and on is a real challenge.
Today - Friday 10,572 Steps and Yoga = 100% for me. Clair and the gang (Sam and Buttercup) had appointments for shots today so she got 3 walks and 4PT x 1.5 = 100%
The physical therapist released her to do Therapy Work at the university on the 2/15 since she just has to walk about five minutes, lays down on her rug and then is swarmed my students who love her to pieces. Now I just have to get the surgeon to agree when she goes for xrays on 2/14. This is very doable now so I am not anticipating a problem. Therapy work is her life she loves people so much that it truly is incredible to see how much she cares for them instantly and how much they care for her right back. It's been may months since she has been able to do her job so this is exciting!

Good Morning Challengers Yesterday I did all 6 of my main HHs, ate in my ๐ zone of pts. I had 3 meals, 1 snack, used 26 pts.
