Suze....enjoy the quiet day...makes up for some of the hectic ones!
Celeste....just decided to get the gym out of way early. Weโll only get there twice this week since we take off for the dgks on Eed. Counting on them for some steps / activity. And youโre right...even a short walk is good!
Did my wt lifting for the day. We loaded a queen box spring / mattress set into the pickup to take to DS. It is one of the sets we replaced in Jan, so they will put it in their guest room. The set they had belonged to DDILs parents....but they recently bought s condo & need it back...so this worked great for all.
Need to run a couple of errands ... then off to basketball semi final games

Celeste I think it would be better not to have any 0 point meals.Add something like bacon or something with points with your eggs.Don't eat high point foods just to have points.Maybe add a few carby type foods with meals but not too high in carbs where it bothers you.
I'm one to talk today. So far I just have 9 points today.
Breakfast-2 scrambled eggs on a sandwich thin with 1 slice of Velveeta melted on top of the eggs so basically a homemade egg McMuffin,2 cups of coffee with SF creamer(5 SP)
Lunch-3/4 of a Wendy's large chili with 4 saltines(4 SP)
Dinner will either be pork tenderloin with carrots and a small salad or a bigger salad with grilled chicken tenders, evoo and ff Italian dressing.
I will have 2 Dannon L&F Greek vanilla or toasted coconut vanilla yogurts mixed in somewhere for a total of 4 SP.
Snack will be a protein bar plus whatever I need to get in a decent amount of points b/c my body seems to need the points or I get too hungry.
Good for you on your walk.
I did 20 minutes on my recumbent bike b4 we left for Bastrop and my Charge 2 gave me 100% peak for the w/o but that normally only happens when I do it shortly after breakfast.I will do at least 20 more min this afternoon and maybe a few min tonight.I walked enough in HEB and WM today where my knee doesn't want to walk outside this afternoon although it's beautiful out there.

CELESTE- sounds like you are doing simply filling without realizing it. Imagine subtracting those 7 or 8 points from your weeklies or fit points. Just a different perspective on eating healthy, but still following the program.
DH is bored to death being off today. He is outside installing a new motion sensitive flood light at the back door. And he thinks he won't have any trouble retiring. ๐
I just confirmed my noon appointment with the window/siding lady at the rental for tomorrow. Hope after all of this snow melt that the driveway isn't a muddy mess.
We had our friend, the structural engineer, go install crack monitors in the basement. He said we need to leave them for 3 months before we will know if the settlement is getting worse or staying the same. Was hoping to know quicker than that.
BECKY- how awful about those package bombs. I cannot imagine what someone would get out of doing something like that. I can't imagine not being wracked with guilt over doing that to an innocent victim. And for that boy to be so young...devastating to think of the unfulfilled potential. Senseless!

I just told both kids they are not allowed to get packages at the door unless we say it's ok. Grant it, we have cameras around our house now, but I'm freakin paranoid now. None of these are in my neighborhood, but the 2nd one (1st this morning) was not too far from the school...about 10 minutes.
Autumn & I ended up going to lunch & I had eggs, bacon & pancakes. Funny, Celeste, no....double sided tape is for Z's swim pages to go in for the "swim yearbook" a parent puts together.

Connie it is horrible about those package bombs.I can't imagine anyone doing that to innocent neighborhoods.
Steph that makes 3 package bombs in 10 days in Austin now.I saw where a 75 yo woman was injured along with someone else at the 2nd one today.I am not even ordering anything right now and not picking up any packages.I don't know what's wrong with people now and with the Austin rodeo plus SXSW in town it would be scary.

Hello all. Hope everyone is doing well. Sounds like everyone had a busy day.
I'm in favor of picking a time zone whether it be DLST or ST, but pick it and stick to it. I hate that it's so dark again in the morning and by 7 tonight it was dark. I know I'm not alone in this. I have been so sleepy all day today and everyone around me was the same.
So, we are preparing for another nor'easter with the prediction of 12" of snow for tomorrow. I can't handle more snow....will it ever come to an end? I am so ready for spring. I feel like that's all I have been saying now for months. Of course, work isn't cancelled and we get to play the game of getting there and back home. I did bring work home with me just in case it's bad first thing in the morning as the prediction is for the snow to start around midnight. We shall see.
Okay, ladies, happy Tuesday. Enjoy the day.

JT I hope they are wrong with predicting that much snow.We hear geese outside flying back up north.I think they will be in for a rude awakening.Stay safe and warm.

Becky, I read somewhere it may be race related, although, they're not ruling anything out. The gentleman who died 2 weeks ago was black. The 17 yr old this morning was black & the one this afternoon was hispanic. Really do hope they catch whoever this is before someone else gets hurt. I don't expect anything to happen around here, but you never know. Our cameras go live as soon as anyone is in range and go straight to DH's phone.
Had taco salad for dinner. Interesting that both kids & DH made a comment about my plate. I did not use tortillas. Put a ton of lettus on my plate & filled it with meat, tomatoes, avocado & a few chips. Z says "Why do you have a huge taco?" Then the other 2 chimed in about my plate. I didn't even eat it all.
OK, here's a funny...at least I think it is...yesterday when A & I were at HEB & I took a pic of the orange crush, she asked me why and I told her a friend who lives in the area around Papaw Billy wanted one and couldn't find it. I explained there is no HEB in the area and she looked at me and asked, "Where do they get their groceries? What do they do?" I laughed so hard and out loud walking around the corner that the wine lady looked at me crazy. My kids have no idea there are other stores out there.
Well, the girl has made a cake again. I'll have one piece tonight & then no more.

JT- ugh on the snow already!
When DH and I walked Shasta, I saw a bluebird. I have never seen one before, except in pictures. DH said he hasn't seen one around here before either, and he is big on bird identification. He HAS seen Indigo Buntings near the coal mines when he did construction work. I'd love to see one of those in person.

CONNIE to a large extent I think I AM doing SF, not on purpose, and having about 8-10 extra points on top of it. I never really looked at it that way.
Becky my range would be 13 to 28 points and I'm not hitting 13 on very many days right now but I'm eating plenty of food. But there is no point in hell to eat more points just to be eating them. I ran it thru MFP and I'm at 1260 calories. ANd I'm in PERFECT balance w/ every macro for nutritional information, except 10 grams OVER on fiber (though my gut wouldn't know that b/c I'm living on miralax... I think the beans are the stuff w/ the fiber and I'm trying to add more veggies). I'm also a little low on fat to be honest but I'm not about to eat a slug of olive oil. In other words my diet is perfectly healthy and I'm getting in almost ALL my healthy fat, sufficient carbs, and proteins. I don't think it's mentally healthy to eat to get in some artificial POINTS thingy. It's too easy for me to obsess about some magical points number and ignore what's healthy. As I said I had some filet mignon yesterday and for whatever reason the beef totally turned me off. YUCK. And I'm a red meat eater. AMEN on the exercise for health. THough I HATE it, my BP and heart rate prefer it when I do some regular exercise.

CONNIE in the grand scheme of things, 3 months isn't that long to wait. You've had that party house since we've "known" each other and mostly it's been unrented and sporadically being updated. 3 months considering the alternative is a PIECE OF GERMAN CHOCOLATE CAKE.
STEPH my DD is in England or France but I emailed her just in case she didn't know about it so when she comes home she can be extra vigilant. If it's racially related or not, it pays to be careful in this day and age. LOL on your family being so obsessed w/ your plate of food (BTW Taco salad sounds great.... i may make one tomorrow!!!) ROFLMAO @ where do I get my groceries. I KNOW WHAT SHE MEANS!!! I want an HEB so badly (though my DD wants a kroger's).
JT your heating bills must be astronomically high! Kind of like our A/C bills some summers.
I hope I sleep even half as well tonight as I did last night. B/c I'm not going to take another Klonipin. I don't want to go down that road. Night all.

Went to bed at 11:30pm and wide awake at 3am. Welcome to a not so successful turn around from midnights....at least so far. But I am off for 3 weeks, so I have time to get situated.
Right now my mind is racing with all of the things I need to do before I leave for my quilt retreat Sunday. Current dilemma: What to take for the "snack table". Every lady is sort of expected to bring snacks for hungry quilters to graze on throughout the retreat. Usually the table is full of home made banana bread, brownies, cookies, Hershey's miniatures, bags of chips. Basically, a wasteland of bad choices. I'm considering making ziplock snack bags of pretzels, Good Thin crackers, popchips, and individual size bags of microwave popcorn. That will help me survive savory. Maybe I'll have some rice crispy treats to help me with "sweet". ( Although, that is such a slippery slope, I'd be better off not even to GO there! But I'm trying to be realistic and manage my environment better.) anybody else have any snacky go-tos that don't require refrigeration? I would totally do veggies with dip if the stuff didn't sit out all hours. In fact, they have a "community fridge". Maybe I'll take a veggie tray and post a sign that it is part of the "snack table". That would help me so much! I should also boil some eggs to take. And maybe take some turkey bacon and 45 calorie bread for breakfasts. It's awful that I need to do so much planning around food....but if I don't, it will be a disaster for me.

Morning ~ Down 1.8 this week, Iโll take it. Thank goodness for APโsโฆ. although I donโt usually use them, glad I had them this time. Plan for trip is to walk as much as I can (which should not be a problem), track as best I can, gear toward protein and veggies, and maintain. Itโs funny, ever since I started talking about a steak I have this image in my head of a nice juicy steak with a side of fresh, steamed broccoli. Rather that image was a hot guy with nice abs, lol. I appreciate the Wal-mart WW list โ it gave me some ideas that Iโve not been thinking of. And my next goal when I get home is to revamp a quick grab-at-home breakfast for the days Iโm hungry. Some sort of sausage in a 1pt wrap I think, or of course egg salad. I was looking at and calculating SPโs for a couple recipes from an old Core cookbook, and it was odd that bread crumbs are listed as 3sp for ยผ cup if I remember correctly, but โfreshโ breadcrumbs are 1. Donโt really get that. Whole wheat are 2. Ok so the package bombs are nowhere near where I live, but it was a very eerie feeling when, after hearing about the bombs, I received 2 boxes (shoes); one in the mail and one on my porch. I thought, omg, thatโs just what those people were doing. Just an odd feeling. CONNIE very cool on the bluebird. I see Jays but I canโt remember when I saw a bluebird. A few years back I saw a painted bunting for the first time and was in awe โ it was beautiful! I had to run and look it up since I had never seen one before. And kudos on thinking ahead about the snacks. My challenge is airports. Really not much to choose from in the way of healthy snacks, and many poor food distractions. CELESTE โ I want a Kroger. A nice one! Need to get a few things done but trust me, I am already mentally checked out!
