Connie I don't see how with all your work, quilting and dealing with the rental house you have time to focus on eating right anyway. If it doesn't go over the same 5 lb range and your clothes fit don't worry about it right now. When is your retreat?
Celeste I know it's more of an annoyance than anything but I hate to spend a lot of time on the phone for something that's someone else's fault.I have never gotten into ricotta cheese.I did buy some grated part skim mozzarella cheese today.I will probably use it in a salad I guess.I'm glad you slept well.I slept better last night since I picked up my Temazepam yesterday.
Steph I hope y'all enjoyed the movie.I haven't heard of that one but I don't remember how many years it's been since we have actually gone to a movie.I hope Autumn enjoys her dance classes. It's hard when you have to deal with a MIL who is demanding.Even though your DH sees her on the weekends I guess she wanted someone there for her birthday.I don't blame you for not wanting to go see her if she makes you & the kids feel bad.Kenneth always took care of his dad's needs in the nursing home.I went with him a few times but he would never call and ask me to go up there and do anything for him.I'm glad you like your new dishwasher.
Connie You are so busy I get really tired reading your posts. LOL. You did well eating out for lunch.I hope you get your money back from the appraiser. Will you still be able to get all your windows done Friday or is it just the one window that is causing a problem?
Celeste Congrats on your loss. You won't lose 3 lbs every week like you did your first week so say thank you very much to the scale and keep doing what you have been doing.Losing 1.2 lbs is great.Bounce back was probably the topic for your meeting b/c that's what the weekly is talking about on the online version.Eating a slice of turkey wrapped around a pickle spear is not eating.I'm glad you found good healthy foods that are low in points. That's why I said you don't have to just eat 0 point foods although today I'm eating eggs, chicken and nf plain Greek yogurt(well I will eat the yogurt if I'm still hungry).I did have 3 point microwave popcorn for a snack.Kenneth even liked it.
We went to your least favorite place for lunch...Whataburger. I got the garden salad with grilled chicken and the points have gone down.First I checked the app and it said 4 points.I thought that can't be right so after we came home I checked on my laptop and it said 11 points which is what it was b4 freestyle.I put it in as a favorite and it came up 4 instead of 11 and I only ate 3/4 of it so it was a whopping 3 points w/o the dressing.I love their chicken b/c they are so juicy and tender. We drove to Bastrop in the PU and everything was fine.We left HEB and it started making a noise and was missing out.Kenneth thinks it's the water pump. That won't be cheap and I don't know where we will get the money for that.
Suze I missed you but be safe and have a fun time.
Angie I hope you are having fun.You do know that our clothes shrink in the drawers and the closet don't you?Unfortunately we can't be successful long term by doing exercise alone. We can be successful long term by eating better and not doing an hour a day on the treadmill though.Just a thought.Moderate eating along with little to moderate exercise will do the trick.I did no exercise the first yr I was on WW Online. However I weighed over 300 lbs and it was much easier to lose weight then.
I'm not hungry right now and neither is Kenneth but I think he will have the pork tenderloin and I may throw some chicken in a salad or have a chicken wrap or maybe just throw 2 oz of Chipotle turkey breast in that salad for 1 point instead.I'm already tired of the pork.I need to pick up something tomorrow for me I guess.I couldn't find anything today.

LOUISE in that way you're lucky your extended family lives near you so they can help out w/ doctors' appointments, grocery shopping etc. We don't have a low cost transpo service for seniors around here which stinks. Though we are a good support system for each other. I've taken people into Dallas to see specialists, and I barely know them. I figure when my time comes, someone will do the same for me. hahahaha about your FB explanation. That's it in a nutshell for me too.
And ANGIE we Do know weight loss occurs in the kitchen and fitness occurs in the gym. So you can wind up being an out of shape skinny person or a fit fat person I guess. I know people who fit in both categories. I'm in the 3rd category. Out of shape fat person!! AND PROUD OF IT! And I find that clothes REALLY shrink in the closet by the end of a cruise. I think it's all that salt sea air.
BECKY AMEN on the annoyance especially after a total of 3 hours on the phone (mostly on hold) to 2 different numbers the verdict is "We have no idea why this is happening. Wait a few weeks since it doesn't have to be done now and see if things improve." OH GREAT! I mean these 2 cruises aren't until the fall so I absolutely DO have time but my annoyance was that I COULD NOT get into my reservation. Well... it seems the IT people can't get into it either! THey SEE it but can't get into it to change some info (new credit card). It's like it's there but no one can touch it. Like a UNICORN!! I'm trying to do that "changing things I can change and accepting things I cannot change and knowing the difference between them." I always recognize the difference and the proceed to bang my head against the wall TRYING TO CHANGE/FIX things. I was bummed b/c TJ's now no longer carries FF ricotta! And LF has twice the calories. I'll live w/o it. I only like it to for things like stuffing shells or lasagna or this weird Fiber One thing I do. And hahaha on THANK YOU VERY MUCH to the scale. Right you are!! Oh and the turkey around a pickle is a SNACK. Like when I feel hungry between meals. It's definitely NOT a meal. But boy do I LOVE PICKLES! LOL And wow, big difference between 11 points and 4!!! I have to say someone brought up a salad they had at CHILIS. Quesadilla Explosion Salad. Like someone said, never eat a meal w/ EXPLOSION in the name. 40 POINTS!!!!
I'm kind of sleepy. Not sure why as I THINK I slept well. I bet if I got into bed I'd fall right to sleep at 7:30. Then awaken around midnite and be wide awake.

Hey ladies. Talking of tired. I've been trying to read the posts for more than an hour and keep dozing off.
Let's see, I remember, Celeste down 1.2 Way to go....also remember turkey around a pickle-yuck!
New windows for Connie and a promise of a refund. I hope they are more honest with returning the money than they are on the appraisal. Working on a customer quilt and not knowing where to retire to.
Louise new FB. Have fun with it.
Suze, off on her trip to see her sister.
Steph, new dishwasher and dancing.
That's about all I remember. Sorry for those I missed.
Waving good night to all. Happy Thursday.

Celeste That is a bummer on the cruise situation. It's hard to just wait and see if it works itself out I know.I was kidding about the turkey pickle wrap.I knew it was just a snack but really 1.2 is a good loss.Never say "I just lost a lb."I used to have a bad habit of when WW still had it's message boards and this one lady would compliment me and I would say "Thanks but I still have so much to lose." One day she asked me if I could just say thank you and not add the rest of the sentence.Lesson learned. After that I just said "thank you." plus I learned any loss is a loss and maintaining is much better than gaining.I'm beginning to like to eat more of the 0 point foods w/o thinking I will gain too much.I still like to have somewhere around 20 points a day then I have 3 rollover points but then I don't end up using my weeklies usually so I don't know why I feel like I need the extra weeklies.I have been noticing more and more on Connect and Facebook where the longer people are on freestyle they are using their 23 points along with the 0 point foods and as long as all is done in moderation it will work.I found in my case slower is better.
Fitness does happen in the gym b/c I have noticed since Curves closed I don't lose weight as quickly or lose inches like I did when it was open.I'm not going to Taylor 3 days a week to go to theirs and pay $30 plus per month. They are the only ones that still has a Curves open.We have an Anytime Fitness but the main thing I did there was the recumbent bike and I have my own now so there's no need to go now.It was so beautiful this afternoon I had to take a walk.I do find I don't always prefer walking anymore because once I get back on our land my knee goes to hurting.I'm sure it's the uneven lane from the road gate to the house.

BECKY- All the windows are supposed to be installed Friday. It will make such a difference! Will quiet the interstate noise considerably, as well as improve heating/cooling costs.
CELESTE- 65 windows? Good Heavens! Our 3 story house has 31. We replaced them all within a couple of years of moving in because the old ones leaked so much air. Good thing about the rental windows is if the seal ever breaks, this company will repair or replace them for free. Comes with 50 year warranty on frames, 30 years on the glass, free glass breakage protection, and all warranties stay with the house no matter how many times it changes owners.
Was hoping to have time after finishing the customer quilt to make my quilt label and hanging sleeve, but that didn't happen.
Tomorrow is bank, post office and I'm not sure what else. Need to start seriously getting my stuff together for the retreat. I go upstairs to start and end up just playing with fabric. ๐
We got a new dishwasher about 3 years ago and we hate it. It's quiet, but doesn't get the dishes clean. It is a Samsung.
OK, I'm very drowsy. Hope I can sleep past 3 or 4am.

The movie was good. It's a musical about: "Orphaned, penniless but ambitious and with a mind crammed with imagination and fresh ideas, the American Phineas Taylor Barnum will always be remembered as the man with the gift to effortlessly blur the line between reality and fiction. Thirsty for innovation and hungry for success, the son of a tailor will manage to open a wax museum but will soon shift focus to the unique and peculiar, introducing extraordinary, never-seen-before live acts on the circus stage. Some will call Barnum's wide collection of oddities, a freak show; however, when the obsessed for cheers and respectability showman gambles everything on the opera singer Jenny Lind to appeal to a high-brow audience, he will somehow lose sight of the most important aspect of his life: his family. Will Barnum risk it all to be accepted?"...Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, Zendeya, Michelle Williams. I did not know Hugh Jackman could sing. He's pretty good. The opening song is the one Autumn says her dance teacher will use for the spring show.
I totally feel guilty for not going to see her (MIL). But, I get all her clothes, any extra food she wants, set the house up so she can visit a few times a year. I'm the one that goes all bulldog when needed to make sure she has what she needs at the home.
Louise, I missed that you got a new car. A Saturn? We had one when we lived in MS. Loved that car.
Angie, g'kids time. Yeah! We got a KitchenAid. Black. All our other appliances are white. I would love to update our entire kitchen, but that's not happening any time soon.
My brain is beginning to shut down...y'all have a great evening.

Good morning. I woke up about 1am and was concerned that I couldn't go back to sleep. I tossed and turned for a while, but eventually dropped off. Got up when DHs alarm went off at 5.
Still trying to decide what all Im going to get into today. Am ready for a day of relaxation, but I'm almost in "I can't relax" mode.
Didn't get all my steps the last couple days, but was on my feet almost all day both days. Got 23 flights of stairs on Tuesday and 15 yesterday. So I consider that pretty good.

Good morning,
Experiencing a new 1st today. Z and his gf left for Houston on a day trip earlier. I have prayed the house down like the mad, crazy momma I am. I remember when DH & I went over to AL & my parents made my younger brother go with us. There is no way I'd let A go with them. I'd be throwing up or someone would have to sedate me. It's one of the growing up experiences. Just praying for their safety.
So, to get my mind not going into all the crazy thinking, A has a friend coming over, but 1st we're going to the mall. Then home & I'll figure out next thing to do.
Laundry is going. Need to get myself moving a little more so we can get out the door on time.

haha JT great synopsis.. Now... what's happening with YOU!! LOL
BECKY on the slower is better, I try to remind myself. I gained a pound here, half a pound there etc. I didn't get 50 pounds overweight in only 50 weeks. It was insidious and so I shouldn't expect to lose it in 50 weeks but if I DO that's ok too. LOL And no I wouldn't go to a gym to use a recumbent bike when you have one. But they say building muscle is helpful for keeping weight off b/c muscle burns calories more efficiently. Do you have any light weights at home? I really should move them into the corner here b/c for me out of sight is out of mind. But I have NO upper body strength.
CONNIE my house in Plano felt like it was all windows. It made it very difficult to place furniture b/c I always had to put stuff directly in front of the windows. My big tall headboard on my King bed almost completely obscured 3 or 4 windows and I could barely reach to open or close the blinds. That sucks about your Samsung. They're usually such good appliances but though quiet is nice, it's even NICER when it WORKS.
STEPH I'm waving my magic wand and POOF you will no longer feel guilty. Though I DO feel badly for your mother's situation b/c it's beyond her control, how she acts and how she makes everyone feel when they ARE in her company IS in her control. Bob's mom is still at home (in Plano) but he sees her MAYBE 6 times a year (usually Christmas, Mother's Day, Birthday etc) b/c she's just so negative, MEAN, ornery, she does nothing to HELP herself and when he does come the first hour is "OH... it's so NICE of you to finally find it in your busy week to see me....." And then she has him vacuum, trim trees. And she does have Bob's 60 year old sister living w her (rent free) so she's not totally isolated. Boy do I feel sorry for his sister. Then again her career as a "psychic" and "energy channeller" (she talks to dead people) is not lucrative enough for her to afford rent and food etc. I don't EVEr go to see her (maybe x1/year) b/c life's too short to be around a happiness sucker.
Oh the other thing w/ Bob's mom, if he mentions that we're going on vacation it's NEVER "wow that's so neat". It's always "Oh you have the time to do that. It must be NICE . I sit here and i can't really GO anywhere". YEAH? Well stop getting loaded on sleep/pain/tranq meds and MOVE. So looooooooong story to say I understand your situation and I wish I had it in your power to make you NOT feel guilty. You shouldn't.
As for Z... letting go can be hard Yet satisfying.
SUZE!! Is the waffle in the shape of ARIZONA? The La Quintas here have waffles shaped like Texas.
CONNIE Bob and I saw that the other day and couldn't stop laughing. I said if it were enchiladas instead of waffles it could be Bob!! That kid REALLLLLY needed a nap.
I slept well again! 2 nights in a row. Is this some kind of MIRACLE? LOL

Steph - the one thing about going off to college is that you donโt worry as much cause you donโt know what they are doing. After the first semester I told my dd that college is not spelt party.
I am so glad my dd and both dgds are thru with college. I still pray like heck when they travel.

I admit, I was a major league partier in college. I got average grades. Could have gotten really good grades if I had applied myself. But I wouldn't change much if given the opportunity. What I learned about people and life was at LEAST as valuable as what I learned in class.
Ok, I know this is probably going to be a mistake, but I'm going to take a nap.
