Now this is how a President and a gentleman behaves . . . something no one in this administration has any concept about.
"John McCain and I were members of different generations, came from completely different backgrounds, and competed at the highest level of politics. But we shared, for all our differences, a fidelity to something higher – the ideals for which generations of Americans and immigrants alike have fought, marched, and sacrificed. We saw our political battles, even, as a privilege, something noble, an opportunity to serve as stewards of those high ideals at home, and to advance them around the world. We saw this country as a place where anything is possible – and citizenship as our patriotic obligation to ensure it forever remains that way.
Few of us have been tested the way John once was, or required to show the kind of courage that he did. But all of us can aspire to the courage to put the greater good above our own. At John’s best, he showed us what that means. And for that, we are all in his debt. Michelle and I send our most heartfelt condolences to Cindy and their family."
The article about the JA not knowing how to color the flag also ran in the Serbian newspapers DH reads. He did a good job though for coloring a Russian flag.

Senator Mc Cain was decent, honorable, and a hero. A statesman who was able to reach across the isle for the good of his countrymen/women. A man willing to admit his shortcomings. He was a proud man and a humble human being. He will be missed. May he rest in peace.

Remember, he said MCcCain wasn't a war hero because he was captured... boggles the mind. Who could ever forget? Had that statement been made by any other candidate back in 2015, it would have doomed their prospects. Sadly, the disparagement continues...

JA has had 5 opportunities in front of cameras today, to make a statement about McCain. He sat with folded arms and a scowl on his face all 5 times. I'm so happy the American Legion, Veterans groups & others are speaking out about their outrage at JA treatment of McCain. Not that it will bother JA in the least!!...

Evidently the pressure got to the WH about the Flag. It is now flying at half-staff, again!...But still, this shouldn't have had to happen in the first place & the gesture & meaning kind of has been lost in the first round slight to McCain by JA. Once the bell is rung, you can't unring it.

I just hope they will remember this when they cast their votes, but most likely it will be business as usual. It didn't bother them enough to not vote for him when he said McCain wasn't a hero. I don't see any of my "Republican friends" taking a stand about it now. They are all very silent.
As for the issue of the flag, Linda's right that it's too late to fix this now. The slight has been made. What really burns me the most about that is this is NOT the JA's house. This is the people's house. It is our house. He is just a guest in it (and in my case an uninvited guest). What arrogance he has. Such a small, petty man-child. Disgusting!

Good Point, Joyce, about it being the WH being the peoples house. I keep forgetting that. Thanks for the reminder.

They are all very silent. "A house divided against itself cannot stand. I believe this government cannot endure permanently half slave and half free. I do not expect the Union to be dissolved - I do not expect the house to fall - but I do expect it will cease to be divided. It will become all one thing or the other." President Lincoln

Just shaking my head in amazement at the callousness of this WH and the Republicans who stand by and do nothing about. Joyce, please don't shake your head too much. We wouldn't want those plugs to fall out. I hope you're feeling better.

How much Kool-Aid do you have to drink to blame a dead man for the reprehensible actions of your petty tyrant in charge? Senator Inhofe shame on you!

Gen Micheal Hayden tweeted out a picture of the WH flag flying at full staff yesterday. He said, remember this picture when the President accuses others of disrespecting veterans, like he usually does at his rallies.
I think you can add John Sinunnu (Sp?) to the list with Inhofe drinking Kool-Aid. He was on CNN saying that CNN & Washington Post are using McCain's death as a means to go after JA. He really slammed CNN while on CNN...LOL I just thought, then take your crap to FOX & do your spinning there.
Gosh, another cool morning here. Fall is just right around the corner. I hate to wish time to go faster than it does, but I sure wish the midterm election was over & Mueller could get his report finished. I think everyone is on edge & tired of the roller coaster ride. Tempers are really starting to flare on the political talk shows with guests on the panels. Cumo & Santorum got into it last night. I didn't see the show, but saw a clip on the internet. I think the whole world is cranky, thanks to JA.

I think the whole world is cranky, thanks to JA. From your lips to God's ears Linda. You're right that the whole world is just sick and tired of this entire mess. We are all ready for it to just end. If the country backs the Rs and puts a Republican Congress back in control, I think I will be ready to just throw in the towel and give up on the world, and my feelings have nothing to do with actual party but everything to do with the JA in the WH. I really don't care if Democrats, Independents, or even Republicans win elections if they are patriots who genuinely have the good of the country at heart; but, I no longer see any patriotism in this Republican party. All I see is worship of a tyrannical, infantile, ego that doesn't even know the correct color order of the American flag. It all just makes me feel sick and disgusted. I have started limiting myself to 30 minutes to an hour's worth of news each day, and reading CNN's home page, but just a few articles there. Anything else is just more than I can stand. This JA is just an abomination on the entire world, and I really believe he would gladly sell us all out for a nickel. He is a sociopath, and I really believe that. If something doesn't give somewhere, the whole country is just going to implode. Do I sound discouraged? It's one of those days.

JA warns of violence if GOP loses Midterms!....WOW, that is just mind boggling to hear a President advocate violence. But of course, nothing is surprising about this Fake President. He spoke of all this to Evangelicals last night. Fear Mongering. The Evangelicals will be eating this up. I thought politics & religion were to be separate. Jerry Falwell, Jr. is telling JA to get rid of Sessions, too. Aren't they suppose to lose their tax exemptions status if politics are preached from the pulpit?
I am so sick of people saying one thing, then back tracking because it didn't play well with the public & so, they come out say "I didn't mean that" ...it was the press who misrepresented me!...Sorrys anymore really don't mean much anymore do they!!!....one person in mind today, Kelly Ward!
