Saw a FB post a Democrat friend had posted this morning. She posted about how shamefully the JA behaved about Senator McCain's death. Someone I don't know, a Republican JA follower who is a "friend" of my friend responded very belligerently about the fact that the JA was doing an excellent job, and there was no reason he needed to respond differently, and that if my friend couldn't see that the JA was doing an excellent job then the two of them could no longer be friends. She said all this in multiple very belligerent comments. Geez! This lady was absolutely rabid! This is the kind of people this JA is playing to, and he is whipping them into a frenzy. All my friend responded was well then goodbye. But this lady just couldn't let it go, and continued to rant and rave with no response from anyone. These people are really scary! They no longer recognize any boundaries on spreading their hate filled messages, and they seemingly have no rational thought at all.

Joyce, this is exactly the reason I left FB a couple weeks ago. I just unfriended everyone including family, took down my Little Free Library page & deactivated my account. I decided, with the midterms being so close, things would get ugly, Russian inference on FB, Political crap being spread with no check to see if it was true or not, etc. I don't do Twitter or Instagram either. Just done with it all. I decided if anyone wanted to "chat" with me, do it the old fashioned way....call me or come see me. I don't even mind texting. But FB, totally done with!
Chuck Todd quipped on his show yesterday, he wouldn't want to miss work today, since today is the last day Mueller will probably do anything until after the elections. Some unwritten rule about indictments so close to elections. Of course, that didn't seem stop stop Comey with his statement about Hilary in 2016. Chuck Todd seems to think something big is coming down today. I wonder, but would be surprised if it did. But then, again, its Friday & seems Fridays always bring something interesting...LOL

and they seemingly have no rational thought at all. It's not seemingly, Joyce. They really are irrational and illogical. Trying to have a reasonable and thoughtful conversation is a waste of time and air. Either they've been brainwashed or were like that all along and we just didn't see it. Their behavior and personalities are exactly like the one they worship. I know I've said this before but this is how members of a cult behave. I believe this is what we're dealing with now. A cult. Because it's not reasonable behavior that's for sure. Someone put it like this. "When you say something against their belief, their eyes pierce your body like bullets and their words will strike you down like a sword." I have to keep them out of my real life and my viral life. Their toxic. Who needs that?

if you are so power hungry to think you will be President someday, you will sell your soul to the devil despite your rigid religious beliefs. Linda, have you noticed these rigid religious beliefs are only directed at other people and not the believer? They're very good at pointing out the speck in another person's eye. And yet, they don't even notice the plank in their own eye even if it's so damn big they trip on the thing when they walk. They are religious. Not spiritual. They are judgmental, angry, mean spirited, hateful, greedy, and most of the time obnoxious. Look at them. Listen to them. Do you ever have this, "I want what they have" feeling when you see or hear them? Me neither. If they have the 'fruits of the spirit' I'll pass. Not a big fan of rotten fruit. lol.

Pat, your comments about a cult seem right on target. These followers DO seem like a cult, and it is frightening. I also like the comments about the difference between being religious and being spiritual. There's a very big difference between the two, and my experience is that those who go around shouting from the rafters how "religious" they are never seem to be spiritual. When one is truly spiritual your actions show "Love your neighbor as yourself." I definitely don't see this in Pence or any of the JA's followers.

I definitely don't see this in Pence or any of the JA's followers. They seem to be more of the noisy gong or clanging cymbal type. IMHO. In one of the newer translations of the love chapter it reads in part, "love is patient, love is kind, and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant." If truth isn't truth these days it makes perfect sense that love isn't love either.

Whoa! September 1st! How did that happen so quickly?
So all this about not making any announcements in the 60 days leading up to the mid-terms, I wonder if that will hold true. Certainly as Linda pointed out it didn't stop Comey from coming out with his announcement about Hillary's emails which later proved to be nothing. If he'd followed that unwritten rule, if he'd even followed proper protocol at all, we might not be in this mess today. So will Mueller follow it? Should he follow it? Would it make any difference? If he came out and made some big announcement not in the JA's favor, it might just stir his followers up even more to get to the polls while some people might be complacent and not go, or just be so utterly disgusted with the whole political situation (if they are not already) that they just give up and don't bother to vote. And since the investigation is not political but a matter of justice and justice is supposed to be blind, then should the amount of time before the election be considered anyway?
Like most of you I am worried about the mid-terms. I am concerned that a lot of people who oppose the JA and the way Congress has just totally abdicated to him are just so tired and discouraged that they have given up and won't even bother showing up at the polls either for the mid-terms or in 2020. Who can blame them? It's just constant bombardment. Why is it considered news every time the JA holds a rally? That's not news. When CNN and MSNBC give him all that coverage for something that really is not news at all but just propaganda, they are simply aiding and abetting him. I don't watch it. I wish everyone would not watch it. Why give him the attention he so clearly craves?

I think lately, CNN & MSNBC are not showing the rallies of JA. Just using some highlights if JA makes some outlandish statement about the press or something or other. It makes me mad if my tax $$ are being used for these rallies. That really PO's me off!!
I did watch the funeral service for McCain today. Very moving words from those who eulogized him. Megan McCain, no holds barred on her comments directed towards JA. I wonder how Ivanka & Jared felt,( I was surprised they were invited) when Megan, Bush & Obama had words directed at JA without using his name...I hope they squirmed, but I doubt they did....Of course, JA, was tweeting during the whole time of the service. He just can't help himself!...Shameful!!
As for the midterms, it does makes me nervous.
I see Susan Collins had pre approved Kavanaugh for SC justice. From the response to my email to Heidi Heidkamp , I think she is leaning towards voting for Kavanaugh as well. UGH! So goes that vote!.. Also the the Republicans holding back thousands & thousands of reports on Kavanaugh from the Democrats is just wrong. But wrong means nothing anymore!
It was also nice to see to ex Presidents give eulogies that went above & beyond grade school grammar & thoughts.

I didn't watch the funeral, but did hear bits and pieces. Both President Obama and President Bush from the snippets I heard were thoughtful and gracious, and showed us how a President should behave. Way to go Meghan! From what I heard of her comments she didn't hold back, and I wanted to give her a standing ovation. I understand her father knew the kind of eulogy she would give, and she said not just what she felt but what he felt as well. What the majority of us feel. I liked President Obama's comment about how they might differ on policy they never doubted each other's patriotism, and at the end of the day they both knew they were on the same team. Unfortunately that doesn't exist any more. For this administration there is no Team America, only Team Trump. 😢

I wish everyone would not watch it. Why give him the attention he so clearly craves? It is one of the things that sickens me the most. There are no more political TV shows. It's the JA show 24/7. Why do they do it? Probably for the ad's which means money. I'm not interested in every little stupid thing this jerk has to say. He's not a president. He's a jerk, a traitor, a pervert, an ego maniacal pathetic, unqualified pawn. I often wonder why they do it too. If he hates the media so much why don't they just stay away? Rallies? Who cares? He might say he hates them but he'd have a hissy fit if they ignored him. He never has anything important to say except how wonderful he is. I don't know if I ever mentioned this before, lol, but hate put that thing in the WH and hate is what comes out of the WH. Hate in - hate out. I was surprised to see any member of that despicable clan at Senator McCains service. Obviously, the McCain family took the high ground. It's what decent people do.

What a despicable little prick Donnie Jr is. Boy, this apple doesn't fall far from the family tree. I hope, he gets indicted even before JA. Jr. wrote aka exploited an op ed in an Iowa paper about Mollie Tibbits death & Mollies dad responded to Donnie Jr's article with one of his own. www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/dont-use-mollie-tibbetts-death-to-promote-racism-says-dad_us_5b8b45dfe4b0511db3d94eb1I read that Lindsey Graham asked Cindy McCain to invite Ivanka & Jared to the funeral even tho John McCain had expressed his wish JA not attend. What's with Graham & this sudden love of JA? If Ivanka & Jared had any class, they would have declined the invite in respect towards the McCain family. But of course JA & his family have no class what so ever!

Linda, thanks for sharing that article. My heart breaks for Mollie's family. How horrible it must be for them to not only suffer her loss, but to have to see despicable people like the Trumps using her death to try and fortify their own ugly political agenda. The JA, I really believe, is a sociopath and it seems that Jr must be as well. To utilize another's grief for your gain is too despicable for words, and could only be done by someone who is incapable of having any real feelings, any empathy with anyone.
As for Lindsey Graham, he is so two-faced it is disgusting! I can't imagine what John McCain saw in him to consider him a friend. I wonder what he would think now? Maybe Meghan will tell us. She seems to be a chip off the old block and not afraid to express how she feels. I wonder if she will follow her father's footsteps into politics, or continue to speak from the sidelines. The Republican party would be smart to embrace her, as she seems to have a lot to offer. It's not just the Democrats who need an infusion of new blood.
As for Ivanka and Jared, they have been brought up to truly believe that they are somehow special and above everyone else. For them everyone else is beneath them, and simply there to be used, then tossed aside. The entire family has my contempt.
Say what you will about the Clintons, the Bushes, the Reagans, the Carters, the Kennedys, etc. Each family made plenty of mistakes, but they raised good children who seem to know that they owe something to the world rather than thinking the world owes everything to them.

Well said, Joyce. True too! Lest ye forget...he's not a real president. He's a Russian plant. Um, I mean pawn. lol. It pains me to put that thing in the same category as the five families you mentioned. Nope. No can do. I can't get this children's song out of my head now. One of these things is not like the other ones. Linda, Lindsay Graham had the nerve to pester a grieving widow to invite two of his friends to her late husbands memorial service? Did he think she'd argue about it with him? I didn't think this obnoxious piece of sh!t could stoop any lower and yet he always manages to do so. Can he get his nose up the JA's ass any deeper? He makes me gag too. An excellent example of deplorable. He stinks so much my cat litter box smells like roses compared to him! PU!
