Hello! cj59, Great job getting those healthy checks in! Especially after a tough day. I find junk food makes me crave more junk food. Do you agree? sunrose49, Happy (belated) Birthday!!! You're even going on healthy hikes on your birthday? You're amazing, and you can tell everyone I said so DotRen, Congrats on staying on plan! It's one day, one meal, one decision at a time! Crazy weather! I live in a warmer area as well, but we've been pummeled with rain this week, so none of the crazy allergies...yet. wwlurker, Perfect goals! We've all been in the red (some of us on day 2 of the week lol) so don't worry. 10 is actually pretty manageable if you stick to the goals! Good luck! Today was ... not great. I am doing pretty well with the plan but I have been in a funk where somehow the days are all exhausting and super short. I just feel like I need to come up for air, and the food is an easy place to turn for that "feel better" moment. I am going to try to carve out some "me time" tomorrow and see if that helps. Maybe I should make a little post it in the kitchen that says, "You don't need food, you just need to relax". lol

Good morning everyone! sunrose49 , happy belated birthday! DotRen , it's all relative with weather and temperature, isn't it? I went to New Orleans at the end of October and people were commenting that it "felt like fall" in the mornings. To us, it felt like heat stroke! This morning it was -24 Celsius (which the internet tells me is -11 Fahrenheit). I'm so sick of the cold. We can't do anything outside right now. cj59 , my day yesterday went off the rails a little bit too. I had an unhealthy and ill-planned supper, which made me continue to eat when I shouldn't have. It wasn't as bad as it has been, but I can do better with better planning. Today is day 7 for me. I'm in the hole and that's going to have to be ok. I'm just going to try to minimize the damage tonight. Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning
wwlurker, I'm impressed that you are tracking so well! I need to start doing that.
cj59, good for you getting a walk in. Will you let me know when the next Beck review starts. I keep checking that board, but not sure if I am looking in the right place.
isiinnia, I like the note idea. I use to have a picture on my frig. of before. Maybe I need to put a now on it instead.
dotren, thanks for the Birthday wishes. How is the job going for your son so far?
Thanks everyone for the Birthday wishes. It was a great day. I was way to lazy yesterday. I need to get moving today.

Good morning! wwlurker, it really is. I have a friend in Newfoundland and our usual lows are their summer highs a lot of the time lol. irisinnia, rain here as well (Texas coast, just below Houston) and it's supposed to be around 72-73 here today. I always use our pecan tree as a guide. It's the first to lose it's leaves and the last to bloom. Until it does, those seasons aren't really here yet. sunrose49, he's doing well. They are short handed, so he's actually getting some overtime lol. He was supposed to be part time (as in 39 hours a week)but one of the teachers quit so he's now full time +. I would still rather he work closer to home, but it's a job and he seems to be ok with it (I won't say enjoying it -it sounds like the owner is almost as bad as his previous employer as far as not getting things done for the employees).

Hello Everyone irisinnia - I do think that eating junk food and other high calorie food just makes you crave it more. I guess the solution is really to cut it out completely, if possible. I hope you can get some of your "me" time in. wwlurker - I hope your overall week will be good for your weigh-in. Going over the weekly points doesn't always cause a problem. sunrose - The New GDT board, where I'm doing the Beck Review, started it a few weeks ago. It's under the Forum for "Diets and Weight Loss plans". I know that there is also a review on this board. I started it once but got off track so I never finished with the group here. DotRen - That is a nice temperature you're supposed to have today. We used to get 70s a lot in the late spring, but now it seems like it goes from 50s/60s straight up to 80s. I really don't know how I'm doing. I feel like every aspect of my life is off track I have trouble with my sleep, my eating, and my life in general. I'm just trying to stick with the Beck review even though I feel like I could quit. I'm still trying to get in some fruits, vegetables, and dairy each day along with my walking and water - so at least it's not a total bust. I wish it was easy to just reset everything in my life, I'm having trouble finding my way to get there. Just have to keep trying. Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Good morning
dotren, that's great your son was able to get more hours. I need to clean too.
cj59, I'm sorry you are having a hard time. I totally understand. Do you think it is the winter weather? It usually is for me. I can't wait till spring. Thanks for the Beck info I'll check it out.
Waving to all
I really need to clean and move this darn body today.

Good morning
cj59, weekend was good. How was yours?
irisinnia, hope you had a lovely weekend. WLJ is going sort of ok.
Waving to all
I watched football yesterday and ate too much. The scale reflects it this morning. I really need to jump on the weight loss train.

irisinnia, wwlurker, sunrose49, DotRen, cj59, good morning! Relatively quiet weekend here. Our new mattress will be delivered Wednesday, so I need to vacuum all the dog hair from around the base of the frame with the crevice tool lol. I'm not entirely sure we just have 1 dog! The pup gets another bath today with the medicated shampoo. I noticed this morning there are a lot less flaky areas, but he has the "chemical burn" looking spots on his tummy still. I associate those with the allergies since that's what he started with 2 years ago. BUT, he's only been on the meds 9 days, and it takes a full 14 or more to get the allergens out of his system (if they're food- which they probably are this time). He goes back for a check up on Saturday. I hope his weight is down a bit lol. He's enjoying the green beans/sweet potato mix I subbed out for part of his dry food, and he isn't acting particularly hungry all day, so hopefully it's working. I talk about my dog too much lol. They have a nice farmers market day every Saturday, but it;s only from 9-1 so we can't make it this weekend because of the vet appt (the vet and farmers market are opposite directions from our house). The weekend after that I really hope we can go because I am craving farm fresh veggies!

Ugh, this morning's WI made me sad. It's funny, I know I'm doing bad and I don't weigh myself, then I have one good day and I'm like "Let's see how it's going!" ; bad strategy. Today will consist of getting back on plan. What does "on plan" look like? (1) Pre-tracking within the DP's (2) Hiding the snacks - anything visible becomes a target (3) Hydration because that is my achilles heel for cravings (4) Beck book in my journal, I need to get my mindset in the right place I know I can do this, so all that's left is to do it, I guess... sunrose49 , My weekend was lovely, thank you! Cheers to getting back on the weight loss train! Do you still have "a lot to lose" (like me) or are you closer to goal? (If you don't mind me asking) cj59 , Hey! How's it going? Did the weekend help with any of those struggles you mentioned? (sleep, eating, life) Good for you for sticking with the Beck review. I drop off the reviews A LOT but it's helps so much! DotRen , I love a good cleaning spree! How was it? And I love hearing about your dog. You are doing an excellent dog and I hope I get to hear that the allergy issue has been resolved! wwlurker , You did amazing tracking last week! How's the new week going? Good luck to you all on this fantastic Monday! Let's rock this week!

Hello Everyone
DotRen - I'm glad you dog is improving, I hope the full course of medication will take care of his problems. I love dogs, so don't mind hearing about them
sunrose - I'm not a football watcher, but I can imagine that eating/snacking and watching sports is just a given. Hope you get back on track this week.
irisinnia - Those are good plans to make for weight loss success, I hope you have a good week.
wwlurker - Hope you are doing well.
Hope you don't mind me talking about some things
I'm kind of discouraged with myself. I can tell that I'm not in the mindset to eat well and stay on track. I'm hanging on to the few good habits I can do each day, but just don't have the desire to get on a "diet".
I'm sure you've all been in the place too. I've found that something eventually "clicks" and I feel strong and motivated, but I just haven't gotten to that place and don't know how to. I may just have to go "cold turkey" on all the junk and eat right even if I don't want to. Hopefully then I'll get back on track.
It was 10 years ago this month that I went back to WW again, probably the last time before that was in the 90s. I didn't want to go at all but my neighbor asked me to go with her, so we could motivate each other. I kind of went the first meeting kicking and screaming , but the leader was great and I found the Momentum program to be very easy and I became very motivated and stuck with the program until mid-2010 (when my neighbor moved away). I lost over 100 pounds during that time and wished I'd stuck with meetings, but there were other things going on in my life (work and family related) and I started overeating again and quit the meetings.
I'm glad I did well with that program and again with it from 2015-2017. I just need to remind myself how well it worked for me and get back on it I appreciate all the support that the posters on this thread and on the board give me. Thanks
Hope everyone checking in is doing well on their plans and that we all have a good week!

cj59, I really do think this time of the year, the weather, all that plays a huge role in how our brain works. It's not unusual to have some depression and lack of interest or a case of "I just don't have the motivation to...." during the winter months. Hang in there Keeping a few good habits is a great way to keep some control over it and no go completely off the rails
