This is a monthly thread for those of us who have a lot of weight to lose. The definition of “a lot” is something that is determined personally, so everyone who feels they have a lot of weight to lose is welcome to post here.
Please join us in offering support, checking in for accountability, help with questions, etc. We’re in this for the long haul.
We’d also love to hear from those of you who are maintaining a large loss. We need those tips to help us to keep the weight off once we lose it

Hello Everyone I can't believe how fast October went by, I really like that month so I'm sad about that. November is a pretty nice month too though. I'm glad to hear everyone is doing pretty well on their plans. I'm going to focus this month on eating healthy foods each day and getting in a dedicated period of exercise. I've increased my daily steps by 1000 for this month too. I may wait until Monday to get really serious about my eating, but I do have most of the junk food out of the house again and that helps me stay on track. I've had some headaches this week, every day but today so I'm hoping they are gone. I think they are migraines, which I get from time to time, but these might be because of the weather we've had this week. I don't usually get them several days in a row, so it kind of wore me out. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

The Nats played a lot better than the Astros did (I'm a long, long time Astros fan ), they deserved it The Astros had their best season ever and won a lot of individual awards, they did great, just didn't play their best at the series. How weird was it that every away team won? Never has happened before in any world series!

Just wanted to say Hello to everyone - hope you are having a good day I'm in a really blah mood, that I hope I snap out of because I'd really like to focus on my health in November. I hate when I get like this because then I just really don't care about anything and don't want to worry about everything I eat. Just have to hope it goes away

cj59, I hope your funk breaks soon. I know it can be tough when you just don't really care about anything, but it does pass *hugs* I plugged my keto chili into the WW app and it came out at 12points per serving, which isn't bad considering I use 3 pounds of 73% lean ground beef. They didn't have an option to use "cooked and well drained", so I just took the full point hit on it since it wasn't terrible at 12 points. Of course it's only 4 points with 93% ground turkey, but I have beef thawed for it already. I took a chance on Aldi's again and I have to say they've improved a lot at this location. I didn't go in, because they only have 1 electric cart and it's iffy on the best day lol. I used instacart and that worked well. The first time I tried Aldis, the produce was awful. This time, the yellow squash, broccoli and green beans were all really nice. The romaine is skimpy/thin but taste is good. I picked up 4 packs of the fit & active 93% turkey and the price is really good @ 19.2oz for $3.49 ($3.99 for 16oz at the other stores, on sale), so that's a good buy since Murray and I both like ground turkey lol. I haven't done a full out grocery haul there, but I may give it a try.

Good morning
dotren, I was wondering if you were an Astros fan. I was hesitant at first to say anything, but.....The Astros did good this year and yes it was weird about the home games. I am a big Caps, Nats and Redskins fan. The Redskins stink though. Have since Joe Gibbs left the first time. It use to be so much fun to cheer for them.
cj, I am so sorry you are down. I know how you feel. I am trying to get out of my rut. I'm hoping the new program will help me. We are here for you :-)
Waving to all
I need to move today. I think I will get on the TM and also walk outside. Have a doggie play date later.

Hello Everyone - Hope you are having a good day Thanks for your kind thoughts, I'm doing a bit better today. It's been a pretty day so that helps. DotRen - Hope you enjoy the chili. I stop at Aldi's every once in awhile if I see something I'd like to try from their ad. The one thing I do look for there are the Cuties, since I like them better than the Halos. One of my relatives really likes them and has bought a lot of their groceries there. I'm such a picky eater I like to stick with the brands that I know I'll eat sunrose - Hope you were able to get on the treadmill and enjoyed the doggie play date (hope the doggies enjoyed it too . I'm just focusing on getting in as many healthy foods as I can each day and getting my daily steps and exercise done. I've gotten most of the junk food out of the house again, I hope I can keep it out for this month. Take care everyone!

Hello everyone! sunrose49, Ooh, doggie play date! Have fun! DotRen, I'm so glad Aldi's worked out for you! I hope you enjoy the chili. It sounds delicious. cj59, I hope you can snap out of your funk. It's a nice long month so you can jump into it anytime. New month, new me! Hopefully! I'm feeling so invigorated since the little ones spent the night at their grandparents house. I could move mountains! Also I'm doing the two Beck reviews and have the new PointsPlus board. So I'm excited about this month. I am a little bummed about WI this morning but DH and I went out for dinner, so I think the larger meal had an impact. It's okay though. I'm sure it'll go down soon.

irisinnia, maybe just water retention? Restaurants add so much sodium! cj59, a youtube video made me want to try Aldi again, because I swore I'd never try them because the produce was so bad the first time lol. Seriously, the garlic was the size of shooter marbles, no way to even peel them because the cloves were so small!

I'm not sure who was more annoying about the time change, my son who was in and out of his room all night, or Murray who decided he was wide awake at 3am.

irisinnia - sorry about the WI, but it probably was just the meal. I bet you'll be down in a few days and by next WI. You sound like you are really motivated and have several things in place to help you. Good for you!! DotRen - Your meals sounds so healthy, I know that takes a lot of work. I went grocery shopping today and didn't buy any sweet foods or junk food, so I was glad about that. I did buy some fast food today, but nothing that bad. It's just a relief sometimes not to have to make my meals. I get so tired of cooking just for one and it's so much easier to eat prepared and frozen foods - but then they are higher in calories and other bad things. I've never been much of a cook, I love to bake though Hope everyone has a great week!

cj59 , I'm craving the popeyes chicken sandwich. I think they have subliminal messaging in the commercials or something I hit on a good sale at Kohls and had a lot of bonus kohls cash, so I bought a keurig coffee maker (reg $129 I ended up paying $39). I bought a mini on sale a few months ago but it only makes a 10oz cup, and no reservoir, so you have to put water in each time. That's not bad for storage since you can completely empty the water out (you can't in the bigger ones) so there's no issue with mold forming because of water sitting in the lines. My ninja coffee bar, which I love, started making coffee that wasn't as hot as it used to be, and last week it started stopping at 1/2 a pot brewed and I'd have to make the small cup size until it filled the carafe. I don't think they build coffee makers to last anymore. Or maybe they have too many options on them to work longer. Today: B: coffee (1T cream in 1 cup; 1oz almond milk in another) L: eggplant pizza (brush eggplant slices w/olive oil, bake until they start to get tender, then top with marinara or pesto and parmesan/mozzarella - I'm making 2 with pesto and 2 with marinara) D: Serious Keto corn dogs (these are 4WW points each as written) w/sauerkraut on the side Snack since my calories are really low with this menu; YQ plain yogurt with 1T chopped walnuts 26WW points 900 calories; 32g carbs(21g net carbs); 66g fat; 48g protein
