Good morning all. Once again I slept well. I think the fans under the house help lull me So far it's foggy out there, but no wind. I'll take it. Either today or tomorrow we need to grocery shop. Unfortunately it's at 3 different places, so we shall put the masks on and do our best to stay far away from people. Should any of those places be too crowded, we'll stop at another time. Take care all and enjoy a safe and OP day. Will CBL

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Monday!! We enjoyed a very pleasant evening last night and I slept well - so a win-win in my book! Actually, my entire Sunday was quite special with lots of walking and sunshine and all the extras ..... like DH and I cleaned out the front flower beds and "sat a spell" on the table & chairs set on the front porch. Oh yes, and he hung all my wind chimes which always makes me happy! Foodwise, we had a treat for lunch (Checker's Spicy Chicken Sandwiches) and last evening (DQ Blizzard).... but I didn't hurt myself any, so I just allowed myself to enjoy it.
We have had our cereal breakfast and I am cleaned up and dressed for the day in jeans and sweatshirt. I plan to get out soon for my first walk of the day. We have storms predicted later on, so I will take advantage of the sunshine while I can.
Ann ~ I agree with you that the sound of the fans was probably soothing to you. We run our ceiling fan year-round (changing the direction) for the air movement and soothing white noise. I also agree with checking out the stores and if it looks unpleasant, put it on a back burner.
I so far have not run out (or even low) on anything. I have extras in the freezer which helps. I had a dozen eggs with 8 still in the carton, and DH had a Kroger coupon for a free dozen eggs, so he got them. We are low on the bag of HB eggs that he bought last week, so when they're gone, I will do my own in the Instant Pot. Everything seems to work out and come together nicely.
I bought a box of fried rice (Rice-A-Roni) last time I shopped so I thawed out a meal serving of leftover pork loin and will make a Pork Fried Rice for supper. I am thinking cottage cheese and peaches for lunch.
Time to walk. BBL. Make a great day!!

Sue, what was the expression about worry that your husband uses? I wanted to tell a very worried friend. I'll come back later on to post. Lots of work/work to do right now!

Took our first walk of the day. Heard from Service Pro, our insurance company and our insurance agent. The gal at Service Pro said that another crew will be coming out perhaps today or tomorrow to inspect the work and if need be, do another cleaning. I guess that is their protocol. This has surely been an upsetting ordeal...especially at THIS time. Just trying to keep cool and wanted to pop in and give an update. Prayers and good vibes appreciated. Thanks Sue so happy that you are well stocked and enjoyed a pleasant evening. All good things Judy not sure what Sue's DH used to say, but my mom used to say worry is interest paid before it's due! I think I have the words right LOL...been a long time. Funny how things pop into your head. Speaking of popping...will pop in later

Back from Tractor Supply, Walmart and Hannaford's. Happy to say that most had face masks on and kept their distance. Always a plus when people actually realize that there is ONE rule for ALL...... We were able to get all but rubbing alcohol and powdered skim milk on our list. No biggie there. Seemed to take FOREVER to put it all away......sheesh........ Now that I've posted, I must go in and check the Visa 'damages' Service Pro is here now cleaning once again...... Later

Ann,
Glad you are back from the store. I'm too nervous to go. DH has been going and he went to BJs today. My fear is probably irrational because I am careful and I have a mask, but nonetheless, it gives me great anxiety so I shall stay home. DH has a good mask and he is very careful so he will head to S&S later to get milk, bread, eggs and butter. Lord knows we will NOT starve. lol
Thank you for the quote on worry. I love one. It is interest paid before it's due for sure. I am glad you're making progress with SavePro and I hope you get reimbursed for all this stuff. Have you been in your home a long time? So discouraging! But, glad you did not have an even bigger mess in the house. Glad the fans are doing their part.
I had another ukelele lesson via Zoom last night. It was fun and it's free. Through the library! I know and really like this instructor. I played when I was a kid in Girl Scouts and always had fun with it.

Hello! Time got away from me again, but all is well at our house. So far, we have been lucky enough to be able to order what little perishables we need online with curb-side pickup. I have heard from more than one source that "senior hours" are a crowded zoo. Not going there! Yesterday mid-morning, we met DD2 at DD1's house and enjoyed a visit in well-spaced lawn chairs in the yard. It was so good to actually lay eyes on everyone. DSIL was working and I'm glad he is able to do that. He works outdoors, keeps to himself and packs a lunch. Abby misses everyone's snuggles, but kept us entertained with blowing bubbles and playing "I Spy with My Little Eye". Even Jude and Anna stuck around, a sign of just how bored they really are without school and friends, lol. We broke up the party at lunch time and each headed home. It was Dee's birthday, so I dug around in my gift closet, where I stash small gifts or things I get that I know I won't use. I found a candle warmer and magnolia scented blocks for it, perfect for my candle-loving friend. I also found a suitable birthday card in my greeting card box. I wrapped it all up and spent a nice hour or so visiting with her outdoors under the carport. Her neighbor, who was my parents' next-door neighbor and cleaned house and cared for my dad after mama passed, joined us and we had a good chat. DH made enchiladas for dinner and I mixed up some guacamole and chopped tomato to top them. He headed to bed early because he had to be at wound care for 8:00AM. I stayed up and watched Waiting for Butterflies on Prime. It was a melodramtic tear-jerker, but a pretty good account of how short-sighted and unforgiving we humans can be. Then I searched YouTube and found a 1988 documentary on the Mamas and the Papas that aired on A&E years ago. It was obviously a pirated copy, as the video was fuzzy, but I did enjoy it. I slept so well, I didn't even hear DH get up and ready for his dr. appt. I watched an online Holy Week Mass and was enjoying coffee and news when Dee called, in tears. Her dad is 92 and getting near death and the stepmother is limiting access. She had called this morning, was told "not good" when she asked how he was doing and then hung up on. I reminded her that she did (after 3-4 tries) get to talk with him a couple of days ago, so they were able to express love and chat, not a bad last memory, if it comes to that. She called the one sister who is currently allowed in the house, so will hopefully get an update later. Her brother has promised to drive her there for a "window" visit tomorrow. I got laundry going and then started on floors and am nearly done with both now. Lunch was a PB2 sandwich on Dave's and a banana. Dinner will be baked pork chops, sweet potatoes and fresh mustard greens, one of my very favorite meals. I plan to get a walk in later, but need to find and download a new audiobook, as I finished How to Walk Away. Ann - Your house disaster made me groan! I am so glad things are being put right. What stress on top of everything else! Judy - I love the St. Francis de Sales prayer about worry: aleteia.org/2018/09/18/worried-about-the-future-pray-this-comforting-prayer-of-st-francis-de-sales/. "and when you cannot stand it, God will bury you in His arms" is such a comforting image for me. We may just have to have a video of you and the ukelele. Sue - Pork Fried Rice made with Rice-er-roni was a great idea! I am also a fan of wind chimes, but currently have none. I think I will online shop for some! I am sitting outdoors a great deal now and would enjoy them. Well, the dryer is paging me!

Judy we have been here 13.5 years. We moved right after I retired. Taxes were just to high. Took awhile to adjust but it's home. Glad you took a nice walk. I haven't been going shopping but seeing as we needed so much and at 3 places I sucked it up and went. Last time I was out I think was 2 weeks ago. Pam good to see you. Loved the link I remember playing I Spy With My Little Eye back when we were first married with another couple. That brought back fond memories. Come Wednesday I'll be able to dry laundry and I'm looking forward to it lol. Service Pro just left after cleaning #2 and will pick up the fans on Wednesday. Then I can do laundry lol. Going to muster up some energy and take a walk. Enjoy this wonderful day.

Hi all ~ Loved catching up with you all this afternoon. I am in the middle of making supper right now.
Judy ~ DH's saying is "Worry is like a rocking chair, it gives you something to do, but it doesn't get you anywhere". Hope that helps.
BBL.

Time to sit and relax.

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Tuesday! We never did have storms yesterday - they came overnight. We woke to grey and raining, but after the glorious sunshine we had all day yesterday it's okay.
The pork fried rice dish came out wonderfully and is something we will make again. I had some fresh asparagus in the fridge that I roasted in the oven to go with - and it was perfect! Now to think of something for tonight. I am leaning toward salad topped with grilled salmon. We haven't had a fish meal yet this week and I am aiming at (though don't always hit) two per week. We have ample salad makings, so that will be perfect.
Yesterday I got two longer walks done. I have added a trip down the main road to a neighboring church, then around the back of their property, then back home. It just about doubles my hood walk - and I did once in the morning and once in the afternoon. Today, since it's raining, will be iffy. I can always do my Power Rider downstairs and ride my stationary bike if necessary.
I chatted with a neighbor at the mailbox yesterday (from across the street of course) and she had just come from grocery shopping. I asked her if she had to wait to get in the store, and she said no, but that people were shopping like they were stocking up (again). I guess that is human nature. Our stay-at-home order is due to expire on the 14th, but our Governor has already said she intends to extend it.
BBL. Make a great day!!

Sue sorry for you rain. AT least you got to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air yesterday. Kudos for all that walking. It surely does lift up the ol' spirits I got a later start than normal today. Lingered over a second cup of coffee...had breakfast and planned my day. Carl offered to grille pork chops for supper. I'll either throw together a salad or coleslaw. We have some lo cooked rice to go along with it. Easy peasy and after my day yesterday, I'm all for it! Laundry keep on piling up and I'll have my work cut out for me once the fans under the house are gone. Time to get a move on. I'll CBL
