Is having a drink on one’s own porch considered illegal?

finreporter, Some houses/building have stoops or front steps and I'm pretty sure if you are drinking alcohol on them it is against the law. I would think actual porches would be okay.

Every time we go to pick up our grocery orders, there are maybe half of the people going into the store wearing masks. Which is why I'm still only going out for any "people" things as an emergency (like the eye doctor last Friday). Even there, they had a big sign in the parking lot and on the door saying masks were required and they turned one man away because he wasn't wearing one. (it was also appointment only and he didn't have one).

Interesting. I never knew this. I always just assumed having a drink even if on the stoop of one’s own building as long as not on the sidewalk would be ok.
I just got done watching “13th” by Ava Duvernay and can’t help but wonder if that’s where the intent of that particular law comes from.

Connecticut changed the data they report and doesn't show the day-to-differences anymore. I did the math.
Positive cases: 45,235 (+241); Hospitalized: 203 -30); Tested: 354,445 (12,107); Deaths: 4,204 (+18)

They were talking to a woman on the local (Houston) news who went to the 60,000+ protest march at city hall then "came down with" covid the next day, which means she was either asymptomatic or didn't care while she was at the protest. Her comment was "I don't regret getting covid, I was doing the right thing". www.fox26houston.com/video/696868

let's hope she at least wore a mask the whole time (i see she had one on in the video she took at the march). i'm glad to hear the mayor say that anyone who attended the marches needs to get tested, but disappointed to see the governor say well, no need to do any further measures, we have plenty of room in the hospitals for covid cases now. in other words, he doesn't mind if you get it, because there is a hospital bed for you to die in.

But they're running out of ICU beds, fast

i don't have much hope that he will step up for this though. instead of leadership that encourages safety measures, he'd rather just tell you you're on your own i guess.

I can’t even with Fox News. Anyone who watches that news channel in earnest and believes their hype...

alias123, I was in ICU and on a vent for over a month 25 years ago and it was just under $1 million back then. I can't imagine what it would cost now.

((( DotRen, ))) just awful that happened to you. I just can't with them either finreporter, I wonder the true cost of deliberate misinformation. And now I'm to understand various Governors are tamping down the accurate number of cases and deaths from Covid. And don't look for transparency from the treasury or the banks about the CARES Act as to who got funds and how much.
