Good morning! Thanks for starting us up this month Mo!
Mo, I'm with you, I'm not going to be down on myself, I'm really trying to treat myself with kindness. And a great way to do that is be sure I get some exercise in daily and nourish myself with healthy foods.
My weight has really spiked recently, I've been letting the stress of work and caring for Susan get to me. Susan is really improving this week. She's been cleared physically and mentally to work half days starting this morning. I didn't know about that because there's the transportation issue, she's got a huge brace on her left leg! But last night she tried driving for the first time since the knee surgery and it went okay. Getting out and especially into the car isn't easy but she's determined to be able to drive herself. I felt like such a jerk just standing by and letting her struggle but she wanted and needs to be able to do it herself because I can't be driving her to and from work everyday -I have a full time job!
I had hoped that this year I was going on a diet, not just physically, but financially too -which I can't do with another person living with me, and that I'm caring for full time. But now there's hope Susan will be back at her own place maybe next month. Then I can really cut back my spending and concentrate on paying off my home equity loan. My mortgage is paid off and I have no other debts, just the home equity loan but it's substantial. But with just me to take care of I can really cut expenses down. I'm perfectly content cooking up a batch of something healthy and eating it all week -like a pot of soup supplemented with salads, and some scrambled eggs or oatmeal or canned tuna salad. I'm not a big meat eater, preferring legumes dishes. But Susan likes variety and animal protein. Also, I tend to be warm so for me, I could keep the thermostat pretty low but Susan feels the cold, especially since she can't be as active as she'd like.
Amy, that's fantastic about your weight loss! And it's encouraging for the rest of us as a living example that we CAN lose weight over 60! Did you manage to vote in spite of the weather? That's where Susan drove us yesterday, our local polling location.
Mo, may I join you in walking at least 1 mile everyday? Surely we can do that! Which often leads to more!
I finally went to a spinning class Saturday -first time in months! I was dreading it but I actually did okay. Frankly, that shocked me, lol! It was very encouraging, now if I could just get back to the gym!
Waving Hi! to Brenda!

we had early voting that Russ and ui went to the first day early voting started. I brought my absentee ballot there so as not to waste it. it just so happened in February my own polling place lost its church set for voting and so it snowed but our polling place was at Rennebohm park shelter. by the time the snow was bad they put a tarp above but russ worked the firsts shift.i am glad we went to vote early.

Scott and I had walked by there before the precipitation started and it end uncovered and they were bringing heaters and lights. Deb I don't know how I was able to lose the weight I just know I did. I still have my big bra size but still I am enjoying feeling lighter. My brother bought me a navage which when I need it I need it. also in this apartment with is private one project based hud apartment they take closets doors off now when one leaves. But I asked them to take a hallway closet off to fit my adult tricycle there. And it mostly fits. it probably needs air and I need a license. But this way the physical therapist asked did you use your walker. well I could not anything past that tricycle waiting to fit into its spot. But now I did . I really like old fashioned oatmeal with raisins and stevia. I just have 6 portions and that's about 1200 calories and I would like then to get something else that I adore such cherries when they are in season. But also I am very happy that I am mostly healthy except for knees and hips and higher back and lower back arthritis. I will go the treadmill after I get more sleep tonight for tomorrow I think so far I can not go doing. I last about 10 minutes at 2 miles an hour. I think I will check out the yogurt that is almond based or soy base with protein. I may pick up 8 one a day till next thursday. in a little while while I will go get my rent cashiers check for May . I am a month ahead. I am going into a informal reconsideration appeal. cause basically they sent me my SDSi history and I probed the 1979 document which they are sending me should not have been written because I was disabled at 23 not earlier. and not disabled before age 22 as they claim And the march 31 1976 date they pick was not a decision in 1976 when I went from 21 to 22 but rahter when iu was 25 .. And they did not utilize my denial rom their own agency each time. So I wrote a document to oig and I emailed to some there at the Madison SSa and to my congressman also. But I save isn savings enough for 12 months of higher rent incase io have to go to a hearing. on that March 31 1976 I was leaving Wisconsin tp go to New York to get off the awful psychiatric medication I did not need. I was in New York after.; but the doctors were made that I had a family wo\ho would take me back to New York and so when they had chance they had arrogance about New York doctors who used bio mediccine with me and the other SSA decisions.

boy I went to credit union and they printed something official I can put in drop box. or take to my informal hearing. anyway I wish I could go to New York for my brothers orchestrations for the show SUFFs on broadway about suffragettes that would be really great but they are busy . I hope they will visit then in summer. I got my cashier check for my May rent I give it to the manager maybe tomorrow when she is there. the month and my apartment number the credit union puts on the check.

I had voted absentee and so had Scott. Russ went to vote early which is allowed for 2 weeks before an election. our city libraries and some community centers are early voting places in the city. But I would like to walk 1 mile a day too. I will put my phone in my pocket which does register miles and steps or top on my treadmill eat least 3 segments at 2.00 to get 1 mile too. I am fortunate I believe to live where I do. I also want to buy a portable DVD player next month so that I can play some videos Leslie sans one I have too. I am encouraged that about 630am the light comes up. We go shopping today. I lost the 2 pounds I had gained from eating junk food Tuesday. And I am back on water. I will look at the plant based yogurt my case manager asked me to look at the store today. it has protein. I am getting enough fiber and although the raisin aren't the best fruit. The 3/4 a day is 6 fiber and the oatmeal is 24 a day so that is good. I think either fresh fruit and I think I would rather have some fresh fruit.

I joined tracking and I will go back to WW I think it still is on Saturday and Friday. at. grocery store above level. and make my weight my natural weight. And make my weight 155 goal. But I think I can go once a month and then pay 15 for one meeting I think I am older . I would have to lose 22 points in order to be at the weight they have for me as goal weight and I do not know if my body would do that.

Good Morning!!
Debbie it's great to see you here. I am glad Susan is doing better and that things are looking up for you both. You are a good mom for sure!
I am definitely in for at least a mile a day.
The photo I have of Jim and me here. I was down to 180, wow I gained 46 pounds since then. Anyway, I will get there again this year!
I had a good day yesterday and plan for it today. I just remember to have 3 meals, keep snacking to a minimum and to water up!
I bought those 10 oz waters from Wal Mart. I just seem to do better with smaller doses.
226.4 (-4.6)

Deb you gave me the push to do the exercise so I did 2 miles of WATP. Hopefully soon it will be nice enough outside to walk. I like the WATP but I tend to start drifting and want to stop. I am much more disciplined outside!

Good morning! So I have yet to get to the gym this week, but I have walked everyday, thank you Mo for the suggestion!
Mo, that's awesome! I agree that walking outdoors you focus better! It's looking like a nice week! Lots of 60 degrees days! Isn't it weird with our photos? I realize mine is about 9 years old now! And I was frustrated to be in the 160s. Now I'm trying to get in the 160s!
Anyone got plans for Monday's eclipse? SuSu and I will be having our own little party on the lawn! Our neighborhood is in the 100% totality zone, woohoo!
Amy, I think WW will work with you for your weight goal provided you have a doctor's note.

Good morning!!
Debbie, you are so lucky to live in the 100% Totality zone. One of my co-workers is traveling 3 hours to Erie to see it with his dad.
I had a great week, food-wise. I was up over 231 but for this challenge I have 230 so I will record my losses based on 230 pounds. In any case, I am happy that I am finally systematically down -4.4 and not by accident! I planned what I would take to work and avoided the vending machine.
